This was my first time going and I really liked my haircut! Sam is super awesome and I really liked the set up of the place. I’ll def come back to this place. The price was worth the service and the quality of the haircut (and beard trim). I like the environment and I felt very comfortable there. I walked in about to make the biggest change of my life: going from very long hair to a pixie cut. It was also my first time in years seeing a new stylist. I was afraid of how it would turn out, but Mari made it look perfect! Not only that, but she got me in for my appointment early, the entire place was clean, and all the staff was amazing! Mari listened to everything I wanted, and gave me the perfect cut.

I usually wear a hat but after getting my hair cut by John I felt like a whole new man. 10/10 would recommend. Best barber shop in Hayes County for sure.

Hit or miss. First time I went I got one of my favorite haircuts Ive had. Great communication, and it looked great. Today I get someone who decides the hairline on the back of my head/neck would look better 2 higher than anyone has EVER cut my hair. Didnt ask what shape, didnt consider that it was completely wrong for the shape of my head, or worse that a normally covered spot I have issues with my scalp on is totally visible now. I should have known there was an issue when she didnt show me the back with the mirror. Didnt really listen to what I asked for as far as my beard goes, either. Asked her to clean it up a bit but said I was fine with most of the length (it was like 1.5)... She took it down to hardly more than stubble. Did a good job otherwise, mainly upset that she clearly knew she made a mistake with the neck and didnt make that clear to me. For the price, Id expect a lot better consistency. They seem to be less busy than they used to be, or I may have just lucked out for the two times Ive gone, as there was not much of a wait at all.

It was a busy Sunday, which I understand. Not mad that I waited 3 hours for a haircut. Finally when it was my turn, I sat in the chair. Told the dude that all I wanted was a bald, mid-fade. Leave the top alone. I was in the chair for 15 mins & left exactly how I walked in. Never going back here. Go to a real barber.

Great place! Priscilla is conscientious, professional, great at what she does and cool to boot! Ive lived in San Marcos more than 20 years so Ive been to many different places and this one is by far the best. Always clean, service is friendly and even the conversations are interesting. Definitely would recommend to everyone!

My husband & son drive up from Victoria to San Marcos just to get their haircut with John & he NEVER disappoints. I’ve had Ricky wash my hair & blow it out & he did an AMAZING job. Priscilla has cut my youngest son’s hair when we were in a rush to get back home & she did a great job.ALL of the staff is courteous & professional!!!

Only shop I bring my husband and kids to. I try to go early because theyre really popular so it can get busy if I come in the afternoon. They always take good care of us. Absolutely satisfied.

Great vibe, free beer while you wait, and the cuts are good! Friendly and personable staff make this one of the best places to get your hair cut and is a hot spot for students. My only complaint is that there were flies that were an obvious problem. They should invest in a few fly traps and then this place would be a 5/5 for sure. The flies landed on both me and the barber at times causing distraction and making the experience uncomfortable at times.

I have been getting my haircut here for the past 5 years ago and had a bad experience. The ownership is honest wants to do right be everyone. They are all skilled and careful to give you the haircut that you want and expect. They offer beer to those of age and waters to everyone. The cost is a little higher but the experience is worth it.

Best place in San Marcos to get a haircut. A lot of great people working there, always chill and interested in hanging and talking while they give you the best haircut you have had in years.

This is really the ONLY place in San Marcos where we get our hair done. We have been coming here for years - give or take 3 years and they never disappoint. My partner and I have always trusted our head to be their canvasses and we were very ecstatic with the overall look that we received. Their waxing is superb, never got lip or other wax but I did get a brow wax and theyre absolutely great - not perfect, but great (nobodys perfect right?). Their hair coloring services is supreme, the cost of it is very reasonable and quite fair. Overall, we absolutely recommend this place!

Ask for Alfonso-Hands down to the Best Barber in Town.Had a month without Cutting my hair, All I did was just show him a quick video of what I wanted and he made it happen. A Lil pricey but most definitely worth it. Definitely coming back.Love the hospitality, they are very friendly and kind persons.

This is a great barber in SM. 4 Stars is because this place is very slow. Be prepared to wait close to 45 minutes. Sometimes they close before their posted hours. Stylists are all great though.

Avoid Liz at all cost. She didnt listen to what my daughter wanted at all! Not only did my teen daughter leave in tears but Liz also charged me twice what I normally pay for a haircut here!I have been here 3 times, and all 3 times Ricky cut my hair, and he does an amazing job. Rachel normally cuts my daughters hair, but she wasnt there today so we decided to try Liz instead. BIG MISTAKE!!!

By far the BEST place I’ve ever gotten my hair cut. FREE BEER and other drinks, GREAT and friendly staff. I cannot preach enough about how awesome Priscilla is at cutting hair, I drive about 20mins just to get my hair cut by her.

I use to like this place when Rachel was there, she was usually the one that cut my hair but she left. The past 3 times in a row I had liz, not by request, just had to go to her since she was the only one available. The first 2 times did not bother me, she gives of a rude vibe so I didn’t pay much attention to her just let her cut my hair but she has an extremely heavy hand and her machines get really hot. She also does not stop talking to the other barbers and curses many times. She apparently thought I was dumb and did not think she over charged me even though she cut my hair the first 2 times and charge me the regular amount. It is sad to see that other people complain about her and nothing has change and clearly loose customers because at this point I’m not going back.

First visit from out of town. Priscilla did a great job, super friendly and patient! Even with a shampoo the price was equally as impressive. Definitely recommend to others.

Best place in town for a haircut, you will not be disappointed. Comfortable atmosphere with reasonable prices, the owner (Liz) even offers free beers and drinks while you wait! The staff all have years of experience and it shows in the quality of their work. Dont waste your time at the franchises in the area, just visit this place once and I bet you will never go anywhere else for a haircut in San Marcos.

I cut my own hair for 3 years because -reasons- and when I came here from a recommendation, I didnt know what to expect. It was honestly one of the few times I actually liked my haircut. Shoutout to Alfonso who gives good advice and the rest of the staff!

This was my usual spot until they got a new guy recently in March 2018. He completely ruined my fade. He then proceeded to overcharge me by $3, even after I had tipped him $5. When I went to get my money back, he and the other staff acted impatient and unapologetic. Very unprofessional.

Husband has been here twice & has had the best hair cuts since weve been together (15 years)! Unfortunately, we dont live nearby but the few times we visit the area he gets taken care of.
