Was walking by and came inside after I attempted to cut my own hair. They had a chill and very friendly environment and amazing barbers. They connect with their customers and I believe he did a great job fixing the sides where I messed up (the top was not touched). They are open until 6 or 7pm and the conversations and energy they give out make you feel at home. I highly, out of all barber shops I been to, .... highly recommend this one in downtown san Marcos by The Nephews Bar.

My boyfriend is so picky when it comes to getting his beard trimmed. We found the Mack lounge in San Marcos and he took a chance on a woman (his words not mine) I saw her take her time on a young guy she was giving a haircut to. I saw how focused she was on every detail of her work. I told him she is good and guess what she was was better than good she was fantastic!! He loved it!! We highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!! He found a new barber!!

She was very nice, talkative and got me out in a timely manner but also gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a long while. Definitely will be going back to see Sydnie!

If you dont believe in the existence of covid 19 then this is the place for you. There was absolutely no attempt to provide a safe environment for the customer with not one person inside the shop wearing a mask or even attempting to socially distance. I may be incorrect here but I am fairly certain that the barber picked her nose and then wiped her hand on her pants halfway through the haircut.Wont be returning, if you are evn slightly concerned with the spread of germs I do not recommend this shop.

Sydney cuts a mean head of hair. Been my primary barber for about a year and a half and Ive never walked away with anything less than a great haircut. Friendly and personable... treats you like an actual client and not just a customer.

Sydnie has cut my husbands and my sons hair. She was the first one to give my son a haircut, and everything came out perfect! Her patience and ability to work with a fidgety child goes way beyond normal customer service. She recently moved and is too far to travel, but I think it is important to spread the word on how absolutely amazing she is! Sydnies skills are bar none. I am a dad on duty and upon walking into this shop with my 9 year old daughter with me, I had my fingers crossed that it didnt have the normal Uncut version of music playing... Which it did 🤣🤣. Along with it being my first encounter with the shop and new to the area I was a bit nervous to ask the barbers if they could change the tunes since I had my daughter with me. Man when I tell you Sydnie and JD switched up everything from the music to the conversation to accommodate my daughter...
