Last year, one of my moles turned out to be a melanoma. Since then, I was instructed to come every three months to be checked.Each time I have come, I am always greeted by two friendly faces. When I take a seat in the reception area, I never have to wait long. The assistants are very friendly and thorough with their questions. Again, the wait for the actual provider has never exceeded 5 minutes.The exam is very detailed. They take their time to really look everywhere for anything suspiciousI am grateful for the care I have received at West Dermatology and I always refer others to them.

During Covid I had a 1:15 appointment. Upon making the appointment, I was told to wait in the car and call the office. I drove in to SLO from AG and arrived 20 minutes early, called the office and got their answering service, telling me they were at lunch until 1:30. This happened 3 more times and the office never called me back. I finally went into the office at 1:25. The receptionist told me that I was too late for my appointment and would have to wait 2 hours. She said the answering service was a separate company and Dermatology is not responsible for what was said by them. Since I was concerned about some cancerous spots. I waited those 2 hours. They were all rude. I will not use that office again.

This office is amazing! They do have quite a wait but thier pricing is amazing and the doctors and nurses are also amazing. I get multiple issues taken care of in a single visit.

The staff was friendly and professional. I did not have to wait long to see the doctor. She did a comprehensive skin check and listened to my concerns.

Antonia Gardner, A Physician Assistant, has walked me through all my alternatives to treat my psoriasis. I felt like I could claim my skin as my own! Someone was not telling me what I should do, but asking me what I wanted to do. The Front Office is well organized and professional as well! I travel outside my community to this site because it is run much more smoothly. A VERY busy practice but a good staff.

The people in the front office are always friendly and professional (even when I forgot my mask)(they provided me with a replacement), the the assistants were glad to see me and got me set up for my Proceedure. The nurse practitioner is, was, and always has been consummate in performing her tasks. I highly recommend West Dermatology!John

I saw Antonia Garner, NP, and she looked at a growth on top of my head. She used Liquid nitrogen on the area of skin freezing it. She instructed me to come back in a couple of months to see if further attention needs to be taken. Antonia was very professional, confident and friendly.

Sarah is always thorough during my yearly checkups and answers all my questions with no judgement. The rest of the staff are always respectful and professional. They treat patients with respect and professionalism.

I checked in on-line which is a plus. I was greeted with a very polite and smiling person at the front counter. I worked with Sarah who was very professional and had great patient connection.This is typical of my experiences with West!

The biopsy procedure went as expected. Over the following weekend the biopsy on the back of my right leg started itching and developed a wide red patch. I called Monday morning and left a message asking for information about the after effects of the procedures. It’s Tuesday afternoon and when I called to inquire about my request I was transferred to a different extension than the one on Monday. I just need to know how to get relief from the itching and redness. Also how long I should put bandages on the biopsy sites.

I found everyone i encountered, via telephone, and in office.. front desk, medical assistants, doctor, to be the consumate professional and very aware of the critical time factor related to my skin cancer. I owe them more than a copay and balance for services rendered and was pleased to pay in full. I owe them the gratitude of clean margins and cancer free!

Professional staff are very thorough. Appointment scheduling is very disorganized. Receptionists can’t seem to find appointment times and when they do they call you back because they made a mistake. It’s very difficult to schedule appointments with such a disorganized front office staff.

I am very pleased with the professional nature of John Siebenlist at the SLO West Dermatology Clinic. He has excellent bedside manners. It is difficult to get an appointment with his physician assistant for 6-month check ups though. It seems they are booked up too far out to keep the appointments. It could just be that Im out of town too much.

Your whole office enjoys a friendly and highly professional atmosphere. It was only a short wait until I was taken in and treated respectfully with a smile. I had forgotten to mention another little problem on my face which they noticed and attended to properly. Everything was presented properly and clearly. I was given written information on the way out and felt very good about the entire experience.

Brought my elderly dad in for a skin issue and it was a quick and pleasant experience. Everyone was very nice and did everything to help make my dad feel okay about what is going on with him.

After taking 3 months to get an appointment in this office, which was highly recommended, I came in, spent 20 minutes filling out paperwork then went in to see the Provider Sarah.She performed a quick examination and then noted several areas of precancerous skin that needed to be treated. She said we can freeze these right now if you like. I agreed because it had taken so long to get in in the first place. She gave me no further information/instructions on whathat to expect.As an RN for over 25 years I always tell my patients what to expect. Whether its going to be painful slightly irritating burning aching etc.She didnt even tell me to close my eyes and when she sprayed a spot near my eye it splattered into my eye. I flinched and said I think you got it in my eye and she quickly handed me a tissue and continued to spray the other areas that needed to be treated.Although I thought she was very nice I felt her approach was very unprofessional.I was considering some dermal treatments but I do not think I will return to this office. I may try the other office located in Pismo Beach.

I was disappointed that my 2 basal cell carcinomas would have to treated at a later date (month away) because I was only scheduled for a consultation. I’ve had multiple basal cell carcinomas treated when I first went into an office. Consultations were not needed prior to treatment.This has been an inconvenience, especially since I live out of town 50 minutes away. On the day of my appointment there was a horrible accident on the freeway and we had to leave from home early due to stopped traffic for miles.Thank you for this opportunity.

Manage to get in to see someone on a cancellation. Lucky. Hardly any weight time in the waiting room. Quick service, pleasant, should get some results in 1 to 2 weeks. Been a client for about 10 years. Only complaint at this point is how hard it is to get a quick appointment.

Dr. Siebenlist did a Mohs procedure on my nose and ear. A fair amount of tissue had to be removed and he did such an amazing job suturing the gaps. The scars are barely visible. Im so grateful for his skills and the entire staffs compassion.

If you have Pers Select PPO, you should know that West Dermatology is NOT In-Network, even though they are still listed in the Anthem Blue Shield Directory. And they dont mention it when they take your insurance card at the counter. Only after the fact, when you get hit with a $135 bill after insurance for a 10-minute visual full-body scan, does West Dermatology confirm that they are not In-Network. But you can still see us! they insist. Seems dishonest to me not to disclose upfront.

This was an annual inspection of my body for skin cancer and the precursors. She found six small spots on the backs of my hands, and zapped them with her freezing spray gun. Glad shes on watch.Beautiful view in the lobby. Fully efficient staff, and friendly. Took 25 minutes, zap/zoff!
