Good n honest people been my smog/mechanic 20 plus years

I’ve been going to pros smog for my smog needs for all my cars for a long time now. Pros smog offers repairs. Dan the owner, repaired my Toyota door lock. My Tacoma passenger door won’t open from inside and outside. Parts arrived incorrect not his fault but reordered for me. I asked him if he can make sure my truck is parked inside on evenings so no one steals my catalytic converter while they wait for the parts to arrive. Door was hard to remove since both sides won’t open. They fixed my truck door as soon as the part arrived. I highly recommend pros smog not only for smog tests but also for your car repairs. Other companies asked for upfront fees but Dan trusted my word and I trusted him that he’ll take care of my truck. Very professional, and quality work. Don’t get ripped by other car shop! For the smog test- you have a choice to either go to cheaper place but for the quality of work they do, I can’t find it anywhere. When it comes to your cars, I always build a good relationship with my mechanic. Trust is important.

Pro smog is a wonderful place to have around!! Went by, they were busy, but let me know when I should come back-- so helpful! Great businesses like this are what make san leandro great!

Smog test for 2002 Chevy Blazer. Recently replaced battery so I had to run it for more than 100 miles. Return to shop then passed smog. A little bit pricey but the mechanic is super nice and i was humbled by his work.

Ive been going to dan nuygen for the past two years he does really good job on your vehicles and he does try to help you out when it comes to price ranges as well but he takes his time and if theres something wrong with your vehicle he will not let you drive it at all because he fears for your safety and him and his crew are really good at what they do and I was just going to him more often because he actually will try to help you and not try to con and swindle you down.

Professional and have been coming here for a 5+ years. Always willing to help and make sure to get your care taken care of in a timely manner. The last smog test I had, it turned up negative. He told me to to drive it around and preform the tests needed and would work with me to get it passing. I dont have any plans to go elsewhere because I really appreciate the customer service.

Believe me you can find a cheaper place for your smog check. Check the price first. Do not repeat my mistake.

Been coming here for so long I cant remember. Dan is great. Never had any issues. May be a little on the expensive side, you pay for quality. Not only do I take my own vehicles there, also the 4 work trucks we have.

I had to make a last minute appointment and they slotted me right in. Service was quick, too.

Please check before ask to fix your car 3 time I come for alignment still they can’t fix for me I go different shop

I needed a STAR smog and was struggling to find a place. I was lucky enough to find Pro Smog. The service was fast and friendly. Within a few minutes of arriving my car was being worked on and I was on my way. I definately plan on coming back and using thier other services like oil change, etc.

Terrible! $80 for a smog check on my truck, waited for 55 minutes after my truck was finally in the smog bay. Had one plastic clamp under the truck that had cracked but was still on the truck and the hose was firmly on the fuel air re-circulation container. The jerk reported it to the state and now I have to use a STAR station which will probably cost more. These guys are the worst,and for a long time San Leandro resident I hope they go out of business, I hate driving by that place on my way to work.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! RIP-OFF!!!

Ive been a customer here since 2006. I take 3 vehicles to them. Never had a problem with the service or with comunication. Never been charged an amount other than the prices posted on the wall. A couple of times my truck had an issues. Once was with the physical inspection. I took the truck home to repaired it. Then took it back - passed no prob. 2nd time the nox was too high. Took it to a shop for timing adjustment. It passed after that.I got an amazon discount for a smog check at a place about 3 miles away near Costco. So, I prepurchased the service made an appointment, and the tech didnt show up to open. Called the number, the person on the phone said that they dont make appointments and that he would be there in 15 minutes. I waited another 30 minutes then left and got a refund from amazon. So thats why I still go to ProSmog. Im not going to gamble on a new place until ProSmog fails me.
