It took me awhile to find a decent water softener supplier. I found Patagonia Water Conditioning on Yellow pages. (San Jose)Ed made the process super easy. I had many questions since it was my first time getting a higher quality water softener not from a big box store. He answered all my questions and concern within a few hours of me messaging him.Every component was listed in the purchase order so it was easy to do some research online to see what I was actually getting.I only purchased the water softener and not the installation. I was surprised when Ed came and delivered the item himself. He walked me through the parts and what I needed to do to get everything setup.After I got the water softener installed he stopped by to check out the entire system and made sure the settings were all correct. It was something I didn’t expect as i didn’t purchase the installation.

Just want to add to comments I posted a few months ago. Bought a new fridge at home depot few months ago and they installed it but they did not connect existing reverse osmosis connection as they are not allowed. Contacted Ed and fortunately Rafael and Jose have installation scheduled a week or so later near my neighborhood. Long story short, Rafael and Jose stopped by and re-connected my reverse osmosis. We did a lot of research and had several quotes. Patagonia was a standout from the start. Eduardo was easy to work with, he emailed us all the information we needed to understand their products and pricing. We had him come out for a full estimate and had all our questions answered. on the day of the installation we got a call saying their installation before ours had hit a snag and they would be delayed. They kept us updated. When they arrived they were professional and friendly and stayed overtime to make sure we got everything taken care of and carefully explained all we needed to know about our softener/conditioner and reverse osmosis system. They were great to work with I would highly recommend their company, great service and great prices! After installation we tested our water and saw a huge improvement.

Highly recommend Patagonia! We love to support local businesses so we gave this place a shot and scheduled an estimate. Right off the bat Eduardo was great with response time, communication, and making things work to best fit my schedule. He was very knowledgeable when he came to explain the system and test our water. After learning about the system we decided to get the reverse osmosis water treatment as well. When it came time to schedule an installation I informed Eduardo that I had an important appointment to get to and he had two guys come out to install instead of one to get the job done in half the time! Rafael was our installer and he was so kind and also very knowledgeable! They are very efficient and you can tell they are passionate about the business and really believe in the system! Our 19 year old water conditioning system was making a loud flushing noise, and the manufacturer who sold our system to us was no longer in business. Frantically looking for a water softener expert on a Sunday afternoon, I came across Patagonia Water Conditioning. I dialed their contact number; hoping someone will answer (since it was a Sunday afternoon). Two rings in; Eduardo answered my call. I explained to him our situation. Eduardo was so calm, helpful, and so knowledgeable on the water treatment process. He told me to send any information we had available about our system. From there, he was able to provide us immediate direction via phone, and the next day, he traveled from Monterey County to our home in San Jose to assess our system. My husband and I are so thankful for the first class customer service Eduardo gave us. Thank you.

Super high quality product. Perfect install. Great customer service.My journey for soft water began with requesting a quote from Costcos vendor. They came out and tested out water for us to find out that we have hard water and 200 ppm. They then proceeded with a quote of over $7000, but I could save $1000 if I installed a PVC water line loop myself.Luckily I started shopping around and found Ed. He had a fathers day sale going on and I was able to purchase a water softener system, reverse osmosis and installation for less than half of what Costcos Vendor quoted. He did not oversell anything, and remained in contact with me over the weekend.The most appreciative thing I can say about this company is I had many questions and comments, and Ed remained communicative throughout the weekend. After sending him photos he replied with We will take care of everything for you, which as a homeowner is some of the most comforting things you can hear.Very quickly Rafael came out to install everything. It only took a few hours, and he was able to not only have a high quality COPPER (remember Costco suggested PVC) install, but he also notified my my shut off valve for the house itself is not recommended, which he replaced. He added a spicket for hard water and a spicket for soft water, and at my request.added a T for future sprinklers.Rafael aslo double checked all solder joints, front and back, found a small leak and fixed it before leaving. Its been over a week or so, and not a single issue has come up.Now my family has been enjoying amazing water in the shower, great water to drink/cook with that is just as good if not better than anything you can buy at the store in bottles and everything gets washed better! Take it from me as someone who would spend hours drying my car in a WAR against water spots. I saved myself at least 1.5 hours while washing my car.TL;DR1. Half the price of Costcos Vendor2. Beautiful copper pipe install (Costco suggested PVC)3. Reverse osmosis water tastes as good as or better than anything bought in stores4. Saves an incredible amount of time washing my car with soft water5. Peace of mind knowing that my family is using PURE water to drink and cook with.

We bought a home that had a Culligan soft water system (SWS) which was about 20 years old. We have owned many houses but this was the first with a SWS. This was also during the Covid pandemic and we had run out of salt over about three months. The home also had a reverse osmosis (R/O) system to provide better drinking water at the sink. It did not work. The water tasted awful which we tried to mitigate with a Brita pitcher. Also, the ice maker for the refrigerator did not work.Called Culligan. A rep came out and ran a single test, a total dissolved solid (TDS) test which showed about 800 and we were advised that EPA considered 500 the limit. We were advised to replace the entire system for about $3400. We were told the R/O system filters were clogged up because water softening system was not working and that replacing all three of the different filters would be $300ish but, if the SWS was replaced it could be included within that cost. The ice maker did not come up in the conversation.I did some research which showed that TDS readings show minerals in the water but also include salt which would be introduced into the water by the SWS. This raised questions so I bought a TDS digital tester as well as a hard water/water impurities test kit on Amazon. My water did NOT test hard but my TDS readings were the same, around 800.Not satisfied with the explanations I had received, I phoned Patagonia and Eduardo came out. Without initially telling him about my Culligan experience, he tested both the TDS and the water hardness and told me that my SWS as working fine. To confirm, we went to a faucet at the homes outside water inlet and tested the water (before the water goes through the SWS) - it was very hard. It was clear the SWS was doing its work. Eduardo also ran a precipitation test which precipitates the dissolved solids to the bottom of a test tube that the hard water is in. So, he ran 3 tests and gave full, reasonable and understandable explanations.Eduardo also checked the R/O unit and water from the refrigerator door which, was not flowing. He explained that the refrigerator water/ice receives its water from the sink (in an island separated from the refrigerator) and after it passed through the R/O unit. He recommended getting a new R/O unit which was $500ish dollars but keeping the water softening unit which was working fine. He explained how the SWS functioned and how to read its meter. I agreed with replacing the 20 y/o R/O unit and Eduardo came back the following day with Rafael The R/O unit was installed and salt was added to the SWS unit.Eduardo came back the following day to check. Everything was working fine and continues to do so. As for the ice maker in the refrigerator, water was now flowing from the refrigerator door water outlet. When I looked closely at the ice maker with a flashlight, I could see a tube to release water into the ice maker tray. It was iced shut. I used my wifes hairdryer and cleared it. I then shut off the refrigerator for five minutes at the circuit breaker to cause it to restart. It now works fine and fills the ice tray rapidly with ice.I was extremely satisfied with Eduardo, Rafael, and Patagonia. I would certainly use them again and will use them for ongoing maintenance. I found them very trustworthy and certainly recommend them. I had even phoned on a Sunday to leave a voice message and Eduardo had picked up the phone. They are very customer service oriented. Also, they are not franchise but an owner operated business, another good reason to do business with them.

Alot of scammers out there! I can tell you that Eduardo and his business is not one of them! Not only because his whole water system is half the price compared to another company we were willing to hear out [and were very pushy], but also because Eduardo is passionate about what he does. His knowledge and experience says it all, its either you want it or you dont, period. Total differences between both companies and I could tell right away that Patagonia Water Conditioning was it. Very friendly and professional Eduardo and his staff. I recommend you give it a shot, schedule a water testing, you got nothing to lose but a whole lot to gain.

Eduardo came to our new home and explained about the hardness of the water and what would be the benefits of installing a central water conditioning system.Everything is as we explained, even much better. Soft water leaves the skin and very soft and shiny hair.White spots in bathtubs, dishes, cutlery and glasses are gone. We can even wash cars without stain the paint and glass.We also installed an ultra purification in the kitchen for the water we drink, cook and carry work and school.Eduardo helped us get a significant rebate for new home owners which saved us a lot of money.Very happy to have our system installed water conditioning for our entire house.I recommend 100% Water Conditioning Patagonia.
