Jay helped me sell my house during the COVID-19 time (2020) and I loved the patience and persistence that he continued to have during the long home selling process. We started the discussions in the month of Mar2020, got the house staged, and had to undo the staging because of the countys stay-at-home orders just before we were planning to go live in the market. And it did not take us long to realize why he was recommended.Before Jay, I was talking to a couple of other agents but was never confident about their quality of services. They were of the mode - You can find the listings on MLS, Redfin, Zillow etc and I can help you make the offer. Well, why the heck would I need their services.When we first met him, he walked us through the entire process of buying home: from pre-approval to getting the keys and moving in. This was very helpful for first time buyer. And to make things very helpful for us, we did submit a sample offer on a property to get a feel of what it takes.Given our budget, lot-size, built-up area, number of rooms, school rating and various other constraints, he was very helpful shortlisting the right homes for us for seeing them.Being an investor himself (earlier), he could see through the property and give us insights that we could never have thought about - right from the possible issues in the construction to all the money & time needed for an upgrade in a not-ready-to-move-in house.After about 8 weeks, over 50 houses seen and half a dozen offers made, we were able to find the right home for us. Our offer was accepted even before it could go for the open house. Not only that, we got it over $25k lower than the sellers target sale price and well within our budget. The icing on the cake was that the home was ready to move in. There was not an iota of work required to make the move. Everything was optional and only to suit our taste.Secret insight - I had withdrawn from the offer made only to want the home again after a week. And he ensured that he talked to the seller personally and explained our reasons for the retreat from the offer. And hurray, we got the home.He is one person that you would always want on your side.
