This is my favorite nail salon. Paul and his staff are very accommodating and friendly. The salon has a very inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this salon.

So happy they are open again! Very welcoming and excited to see customers again. They are only using every other chair so you are safely 6ft from another customer. Everyone is wearing a mask. I had an amazing milk and honey pedicure which comes with a 20 min massage and it was heavenly! Got a basic manicure just to clean up and that was perfect. So glad I came here and will definitely come again!

Made apt the day before, I was late, they were great. Got a lavendar pedicure. Mindy was delightful. Her English was that great and she wasnt really chatty, but she concentrated on what she was doing. And when something did catch her attention, and mine too, she stopped working on my feet. When interruption gone, she refocused and went back to work. I was quite impressed by her work style. She paid attention to how I wanted my nails shaped and didnt clip too far down on the sides. Nothing frilly about this place. Nice people, nice job, nice price.

We walked in and asked if they had availability for 2 manicures and they had said yes. We waited 20 minutes until someone actually attended us, and even then my friend waited an extra 25 minutes. Ive been here before about 3 years ago with my mom and I really loved the service and how attentive they were, now it just seems like they try to rush you out the door which I completely understand. Overall they still do an amazing job at nails here, communication is a little iffy just because of language barriers. I stopped going because the prices got way too high to the point where they charged $5 per crystal, might as well buy your own pack for $3 and give it to them to put on your nails. Im not too sure how the prices are now since I only got a manicure but the total for two gel manicures was about $63. This is also the only nail salon that Ive been to recently that has actually done the full manicure even if I dont ask for it (cutical cutting, cutting your nails, etc.)

The service is excellent, the staff are really focused on doing a great job. I tried to leave a tip they would not except it.

The pedicure seats are very comfortable and the staff are very professional and attentive.

Im only giving it 2 stars with hopes that theyll hold up their part on their 2 week guarantee. Which is pointless unless they offer to give an entire new full set, because these ones are always coming off. Anyway, I paid $50 for a gel pedicure (without a massage or anything. Literally, just filed and painted my nails.), $50 for my little sisters gel manicure, and $50 my acrylic FILL. My nails look awful. Theres spots missing chrome, spots missing polish, spots where the polish chipped off one day after having them, and week after having them one entire nail came off. 100% NOT worth what I paid. My sisters nails look great, however, she has TEENY TINY nails (she took the pic included lol ignore the background.) which took them about 10mins to do and they cost as much as my acrylics? Rip off for sure. This place is not worth your time or money. I have absolutely NO idea how this place has the ratings it does.Also, forgot to mention. They switched technician in the middle of doing my nails, and kept walking away to help other people leaving me sitting there for 5min intervals each time. Clearly there were more important things to do than the rip off nails they charged me $50 for (for a FILL). They also made me and my sister get up and move to a different table in the middle of getting our nails done because they are regulars and wanted to sit together.

Absolutely love Kayla Nails, they always do a great job on my dip polish. And Paul is so personable and tries to know everyone’s name who walks in the door. Love it there

It is a very nice and clean place. The technicians there know what they are doing and Paul (the owner) is very hospitable. It is located in a great area with plenty of parking. I had to try different places after my nail tech moved, after trying other places, I felt very happy returning to Kayla Nails.

This review is super over due. But Paul was sweet as pie and went out of his way to give me the design I wanted on my nails! Hes an artist. Truly my hero. I forget the name of the girl who did my acrylics but she did a great job. I believe her name started with an M. Something cute. But she made them nice and thin; natural. I hate bubbled up nails. Theyre great here. Pedicure was a dream too. Very clean. Great service!

They always make run for their walk-ins. I bring my 5yr old goddaughter and they are great with her. Very clean and quick. If they are slammed it does take a little longer than normal but for the most part they are quick. There is parking in the back so you are not stuck searching for parking.

Wasnt impressed at all. My manicure was less than 15 minutes. no massage and nothing special. She was friendly - plenty of employees but for $20 there are plenty of other places where you get a bit more. 10/05 lunchtime. Thanks for your reply Paul. appreciate it

From the moment you walk in they are always friendly & welcoming, greeting you by name if youve been there before. Its a bright, clean and amazing space that also goes that extra mile with small details like offering water or relaxing green tea and even warm neck/shoulder wraps during the colder days.The staff is equally as amazing, putting the quality of work & clients needs first instead of fighting over tips & the likes. They are all very skilled at what they do & make sure you are happy with the work and your overall experience. And if its something that particular person might not be well skilled in, they have no problem handing you off to a worker who is. Best of all everyone is down to earth & respected.My stelletto nails are one of my trademark features that I am well known for, so I dont trust them to just anyone. However I trust Laura & the others at Kayla nails without even a second thought. They have surpassed virtually every experience Ive had at other nail salons over the past 10+ years & I highly recommend giving them a try.

Came here because of a recommendation. Not sure if I will return. The services in general was good but the lady who did my nails filed them crookedly. I had to tell her several times to fix the problem and she would give me this look like I was crazy. Initially, I requested a french manicure but she couldnt even do a straight consistent line. After she painted a couple of nails and they did not look uniform, I had just asked to paint them without the french tip. Instead of it being a relaxing experience, I left there stressed out and not satisfied with my nails. I didnt want to tell the manager about this issue because I felt bad for her. Maybe shes new but that was enough of an experience for me to try elsewhere next time.

Very happy to have found a new nail spot in Willow Glen. I have been able to get very fast service, even walking in on the weekend. They have a great selection of colors, offer tea or water, and have heating pads to slip over your shoulders if you like. Highly recommend!

Went there for first time 2 weeks ago, service was great. Staff was very nice. One week later my nails started cracking and now at day 13 they are peeling and even more cracked. Im disappointed since Ive had shellac gel last me at least 3-4 weeks with other salons. Not to mention I got black and although she did two coats you could see through the long nail in the light as if I needed another coat. I noticed today on the website they charge $5 for gel removal. When I called them if they charge for removal of the gel color to another color that they previously did they said yes there will still be removal charge. Ive never had a nail salon charge me additional to remove the shellac gel in between colors. Im very disappointed because like I said customer service was great but not the product or pricing. Im not going to pay $33 plus an additional $5 for gel shellac when theres other places I can go that does not charge additional fees and last longer than 13 days. I thought I found my salon in SJ but nope, have to keep looking.

First time visit today, my daughter and I got pedicures. Friendly staff, quick service without being rushed, and our feet look and feel great! Definitely will be going back.

We came for a girls outing and had the most relaxing time. We loved the calm music and the great ambiance! Loved everything about this place.

Fast service but a bit pricey and they weren’t my favorite set of nails ever. Paul which I believe is the owner is polite and made sure I was fine with my nails. Just wish prices were cheaper like the place I usually go to. 👍🏽

I recently moved to SJ and started a new job. Trying to look my best, I headed to Kaylas Nails. They simultaneously did a mani and pedi, so I was in and out quickly. My experience was wonderful! The place is clean, the staff is super friendly (thank you Rosie and Ken!), and they had a great selection of nail colors too. I will be back! And Ill tell all my friends too. Thank you so much!

Debatably the worst acrylic set I have ever had. The nails are already separating from the nail bed and its been 4 days since getting a new set, they are thick and bulky, and they are placed crookedly on my fingers and not filled properly. I also got a pedicure which was better than the fill, but still probably the worst I have ever gotten. I have debated going back, but wonder if they would even be able to fix it.... People were nice and it appeared clean, but the quality was not there. The service was fast, but maybe rushed which resulted in a terrible job.

The salon is clean and the owner, Paul, is very friendly. The woman who did my nails did a good job, but I did get the feeling when I sat down that she and a few of her colleagues were talking about me. They *probably* werent saying anything mean, but it still made me a little uncomfortable. Other than that though, the experience was good.

Fast service! The ladies were working on my mani & pedi simultaneously so I was in and out within an hour! No more sitting there and yawning!Private parking lot in the back is a huge plus.Good attention to detail.

I called for a same day appointment for an acrylic fill and shellac. When I arrived I was seated promptly and given colors to sift through, it was nice to see brands like OPI and Essie offered. Paul remembered me from when we had chatted a couple of weeks prior, he was very diligently working with another customer to give them the exact design they wanted. I was surprised to not have been asked to wash my hands after all the dremeling and grinding, but everything turned out just fine. My set is low profile how I like them and the longest and squarest Ive ever worn them (which Im very excited about). Paul let me know before I left that there was a 2 week guarantee if anything were to happen to them and need to be touched up. I am glad I gave this spot a try!

Kelly is really good. Im very particular about my nails and Kelly always does a great job. Paul, the manager is super nice and accomodating.

First time and LAST TIME! Cute place it looked promising. Walked in and was seated immediately in the very middle of this long table of 6 chairs dedicated for nails. Girl comes and asks what I want. Right off the bat shes RUDE and rushing! She literally applied a whole hand of nails completely crooked! I asked her to fix it and she told me NO that as soon as she starts filing it will look fine. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and let her continue but they looked awful so I asked her to please fix it. SHE ROLLS HER EYES AT ME, clearly mad that I asked her to fix the disaster on my hands, and starts speaking to the nail girl next to us in Vietnamese then proceeds to get up and she walks away from me!! Another woman named Laura comes out and is so sweet she fixed everything but now Im noticing that every single woman on the side of me are being offered water and warm things put on their shoulders, their hands are being lotioned and massaged along with oil on their cuticles(which in 13+ years of getting my nails done EVERYWHERE Ive been does this!) BUT NOT ME! Laura paints my nails and Ive already paid at this point and they sit a fan in front of me. I dont say anything till finally Im freezing and my nails still arent dried! I asked for a light and a man comes out n tries to tell me a fan dries your nails faster basically refusing to put my nails under a light and says 2 more minutes youll be done. 20 minutes later Im in the parking lot in my car writing this review because Im fuming mad my hands and cuticles are dry as hell and my nails are still not completely dried. This is by far the rudest experience i have EVER paid for and Im furious!!! I wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE EVER but if you do decide to go in there Laura is very sweet and did such a nice job. Shes the only good thing in that place!!! BEWARE!!!!!! They treat you like crap if you point anything out or your particular about the way you like your nails!! Ive NEVER been treated so poorly!!!

Very underwhelming :(... apart from a very not good quality of pedi work there was a very mechanistic, non-personal attitude lacking basic politeness; they do not talk to you, it is like an odd, silent movie - jerking your feet and hands to position them without saying a single word!! I brought my daughter for her first mani/pedi spa... Why they sell this teen-tiny mani/pedi package if they have not a slightest idea how to communicate with a kid is a mystery to me. What can I say, I am quite disappointed and I will not be back.

Im really disappointed. I really wanted to like this salon given that I recently moved into Willow Glen and wanted to find a nail salon to go to regularly. I overlooked a few things while at the salon - my toe got accidentally cut while my cuticles were being trimmed, other people got a hot towel during their manicure but I didnt and I had to ask to get my big toe repainted when they accidentally messed it up while putting my sandals on. Even after those disappointments I still considered going back but over the next 2-3 days I cant stop staring at all the imperfections and today one of my nails started to lift...AFTER 3 DAYS!!! To be fair the salon seems clean and everyone seemed nice but thats not uncommon anymore. Ugh, Im so annoyed Im going on my vacation tomorrow with these nails!!

Kayla nails is great. They have parking, do an excellent job on shellac. They are open on Sundays, which is great. Very clean and peaceful establishment

I was visiting San Jose and needed a place to get my nails done in a rush. I went in for a mani pedi and it was pretty fast. I had one girl work on my feet and one on my hands which expediated the time and helped me as I was in a rush.The price was slightly higher than expected but I was ok with it as long as they did. Agood job. The girls were really nice and welcoming. They fixed any issues I saw and were accommodating.The salon was clean and not congested. I would recommend this place

Likes: tea, warm pad over shoulders- so relaxing. Nice, everyone is pleasant enough. Manicures (all three look nice)Dislikes: rough massage on hand, bruised today. cutting of skin on side of nail to get rid of color. technicians spoke to each other constantly in Vietnamese. My daughter was cut, then the lady put alcohol on it. The technician who did my nails seemed a bit new to shellac nails. One daughters manicure started chipping last night.bottomline: . probably wont go back unless we are not able to go elsewhere.

Paul, OPI colors and the quality of shellac is unlike any other nail salon. When I get my nails done here they actually last for well over two weeks and when I try other places it’s one week at best

I love this place! Its in downtown willow glen near everything! They have massage chairs and on top of the chairs they put something warm around your neck with a lovely smell to relax you even more! They have a wide variety of gel nail polish! They also offer you tea or water to drink. I received a mani/ped with gel polish and love how everything came out and they did an amazing job with the massage, especialy the pedi massage was awesome and instead of lotion they use a lavender oil 😊 Very happy!
