I thought I had a leaky pipe- Bill came to give an estimate, and discovered that no leak was there... just my kids having dumped an entire humidifier in the vent accidentally. He didnt charge anything, told me how to get it dried out, and was super personable. Id recommend him to anyone!

Ive used Dempster plumbing over the last eight years for a variety of plumbing issues. I use them for my private residence and my rental properties. They come through every time! Twice I was out of the country dealing with them without a glitch. Dealt with them for a handful of emergencies (clogged main sewer line, and broken water heaters), which they handle swiftly. The only plumber I call when I need one.

Updating my review - I have used Dempster Plumbing for five projects now. The latest is an entire kitchen remodel requiring a new gas line, electrical, flooring - the works! They did an amazing job in a very short period of time at a very reasonable cost. I am EXTREMELY happy with their work. Dempster Plumbing was great to work with and beat the other quote by a good bit. Our original 1924 sewer line was failing, and running directly under a giant 40 year old avocado tree. They dug out the ends, pulled a new line through the old one without disturbing the tree. Everything was back up and running in a day. We had a couple real interesting things in a old house like this, such as an extra abandoned clean out a foot from the other current one. They paused work to bring us out and show us these things, make us aware, and tell us how they were going to fix it. They also brought us out to see how they were going under the tree. It was cool to see the equipment and how they did it.Great shop! nice folks. I will call again.

Bill replaced my main sewer line and some amount of re-plumb of toilet & sink in two bathrooms plus getting laundry hookup and drain up to code, and installed bath tub. Also re-piped main water line to the house. Bill and his team did a great job, and provided very efficient workmanship and on time, and high quality work. In and out in 3.5 days!! Excellent customer care and service as well, with Connie guiding the whole process through to the end. I highly recommend Dempster Plumbing!

I hired Dempster plumbing to install a pressure regulating valve on my water main. They gave me a quote over the phone and were prompt in scheduling the work. The plumber arrived on time and was able to complete the install by creatively solving space constraints. I appreciate the good work and am considering them for other projects.

I live out of town and was in need of a good plumber in San Jose, as my tenants reported a major sewage backup reoccurring for a second time in over a week, which caused flooding to occur under the master toilet and all over the bathroom floor. I had been working with a plumber sent out by my home warranty company that had been onsite for over a week, which supposedly replaced my main sewer line and the water heater. I was desperate to find a reputable plumber to go over and give me a 2nd opinion but I didn’t know any. After reviewing San Jose Plumbers online on Google and Yelp, I selected Dempster Plumbing based on their “All 5 Star Reviews”. I called the company number around 7am and Bill Dempster, the owner answered. I told him about the backup and asked him if he would please go out to my rental property and access the problem. He agreed and arrived with his crew by 11 am. By noon Bill Dempster called me and reported to me all the plumbing problems, as well as sent me pictures via text of all that needed to be addressed. Within hours Dempster sent me a quote, pulled the required permits to fix the sewer line and the new water heater that had just been installed by the home warranty plumber. I found Dempster Plumbing and his entire crew (including their office staff) to be, professional, honest, experienced, reliable, and fair priced along with delivering excellent customer service – A rare find these days! Anytime I called or texted with questions, I received an immediate response from Bill. Great experience using Dempster Plumbing. Bill the owner came out quickly to figure out a complicated sewer problem. Bill had previous experience with this type of issue and had a solution. He finished the project earlier than expected and personally coordinated the use of many different technicians including electricians, plumbers and manual labor. They cleaned up the yard beautifully and I have the utmost confidence in their work. Will definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs. Ive had Dempster fix several things around my house and theyve always done a good job. I consider them my go to plumber.

We hired them last year to do a full copper repipe of our home and install of a 50 gallon water heater, Aquasana whole house water filter, stainless steel garage sink (we supplied), and new fixtures. Their price quote was neither the lowest or the highest and they were creative with their design solutions (where to place the water filter, how to create custom outdoor garden fixtures). Bill Dempster overseas his teams via an onsite team lead and checks in frequently (in person and by phone) and was patient with our many questions. The job lasted 4 days. The sub they brought in to replace the drywall and bathroom tile was superb. When a few of the pipes began leaking shortly after install, they came out within hours and fixed them. And more importantly, today, 8 months after install, when the garage sink developed a problem, Bill himself came out to do the warranty work. Not every plumbing job will go perfectly, so finding a plumber who will stand behind their work is important.

Bill and his team recently did a full repipe (including trenching out to the main), new gas lines, and new kitchen plumbing for a renovation. He is, without exaggeration, the best plumber weve ever had.For starters, he came by on short notice to bid the job, and got me the quote back within just a couple of days. He was able to schedule the job in a narrow window while we were out of town a few weeks later, and followed up a couple of times to confirm, including the day before.On the first day of work, Bill and his crew showed up at exactly the agreed time, and were hard at work immediately. They took extra care not to disrupt the rest of the house, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly at the end of each day. The crew were all easy going and courteous.We couldnt believe how fast they got they got the work done. When they got backed up waiting for some other trades work, they worked with us to coordinate return trips and work around everyones schedule. They also went above and beyond, capping in-progress work and rigging up the new hot-water tank so that when we returned (part way through the job) we would have hot water. They also replaced all our faucets and shower-heads to new low-flow ones while they were doing the re-pipe.Bill was a great communicator; he was always available by phone and text, and would call if anything came up. The price was extremely fair and the only change was resizing to a larger gas-pipe size required by our furnace (again at a very fair price). He listened to our needs and concerns, and advised us on what hot-water tank to get and what was required for the re-pipe. He also connected us with the HVAC people we ended up using who were also excellent.In short, Dempster Plumbing were incredible. We will use them for every plumbing job going forward, and recommend them to anyone without equivocation.
