Just like others, if I could give zero stars I would. Animal control, using our tax $, will no longer respond unless it is an emergency. Three German shepherds running around is not an emergency. However, if someone gets bit than they will respond (their words). When I first called, right at 8:02am the woman said she would let the offer know of the issue. When I called back, the gentleman said they cant help me. When I complained he said the City was sent a letter. The reason given was Covid. It is up to me to capture these dogs and bring them to AC. I have tried but they will not come to me. I hope they dont get hit by a car, cause an accident or go after someone or someones pet. This place is a joke.

Difficult to get through by phone. I just tried to call for an injured pair of dogs wandering in town tied together by a rope but their menu is down today and just disconnects. When you can get through, they sometimes have been responsive but usually sound apathetic or annoyed. I’ve had to call to report various injured strays. Sometimes they come out, sometimes they don’t show up. Once when I called for a wellness check on a dog in the neighborhood that I see chained outside in full sun with no shelter or water, they pushed back like they were arguing with me about my right to request a check, and I had to ask them to clarify the ordinances before they reluctantly said they’d send someone out. I find that atrocious behavior from our only resource in dealing with injured animals and investigating neglect and cruelty in this town. It’s frustrating as a resident.

We have 3 dogs terrorizing the neighborhood, there are so many small children here. They’ve been called 5 times but won’t take the dogs. They get more aggressive everyday because one of them is pregnant and animal control won’t do a SINGLE thing. This place is the worst

If I could give them zero stars I would. I found 2 lost dogs running down Florida St. and got them in my car. I called animal control to see where if they could be picked up and the woman answering the phone told me she would call the “officer” 30 minutes go by no call. I call back and she told me that it was not an emergency so they “officer” won’t be coming. I explored her to send the guy out, if 2 dogs running down a main road isn’t an emergency I’m not sure what is. She actually said VERBATIM “if you can’t keep the dogs overnight, you can let them go” I could not believe it. What is their job if not to take care of the animals in Hemet??? You’ll be hearing from me again miss after hours phone operator.

No one answers the p bi one after so many calls.this place, dont call they dont to care for ffg dogs that are being abused.

If I were able to leave no stars I would. The whole process is extremely difficult. An aggressive dog call led to no help. The start of call was with a girl who takes the calls rushing to transfer us because she had 2 other calls on the line. Completely cut us off when we were trying to ask her a question. Not thrilled with how little compassion there is nowadays!!

Literally had to call 4 times to make a report about two sweet big dogs in our yard and nobody showed up until they were already gone. nice way of getting out of doing their job i guess... i hope those two dogs dont get run over due to animal control incompetence....

THIS PEOPLE ARE A JOKE, RUDE, USLESS AND LAZY, THEY DONT WANT TO DO THEY JOB,BASICALLY WE PAY THEM TO SIT AROUND A DO NOTHING, WE HAD BEEN CALLING THEM OVER 2 1/2 YEARS A BOUT A BARKING DOG, NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOVE, IM COLLING THE COUNTY TO TAKE ACTION ON THIS MATTER

We have made complaints about aggressive dogs being off leash and even chasing after my children. They dont even show up after 4 times Ive called about the same dogs.They tell me its not an emergency so they dont have toAlso the owner of these aggressive dogs laughs and says he knows them and that theyre not gonna show upWorthless group of people who dont deserve employment

BE WARE!!! Weve tried to have animal control come to remove cat and kittens from a vacant apartment. When speaking to Ray he refused to help with the situation and we explained that we have attempted several times to remove the cat/kittens but were unsuccessful due to the mother cat. Ray then said there is nothing that he will do and to figure this out ourselves. Very disappointed with the fact that he works for Animal Control and refuses to do his job or give assistance.

I have to say that I have never had to call animal control before and I had some unwanted guests. I was scared to death really and the officer that came out put me at ease...didnt let on to how the problem may be bigger and he came back several days to bait traps and catch the critters. He went above and beyond and probably saved me from totally fraeking out. Thank you to the officer and whatever he makes, its not enough. Time for a raise!!! Super friendly and professional.

They do not help animals outside of business hours.... most towns have an emergency line. I will always call to help an animal if i can but if animal control themselves cant even take information 20 minutes before they open then how is that helping anything. The poor dog on the side of the road could be hit by a car or attack someone in the time they will get to it. Lady on the phone as soon as I started talking about a dog on the side of the road she said we dont dispatch before 8am. I feel sad for an animal I can not help.

Lady on the phone was very friendly. When put on hold, was on hold for very little time. Definitely satisfied with the call. She took the complaint and was very polite.

They just suck!

Worst worst person ever to pick up the phone on 4/5/2016 at 6:15am she had an attitude was interrupting me and told me to call a phone number that didnt work I needed help ASAP and these people didnt help me at all I called al types of number I could but they didnt give me nothing till 8am this is ridicules animal service should be 24 hours each day
