I would highly recommend Stellar GRE prep if you are looking to master the GRE. I took this course remotely online and saw great improvements in my score over time. Absolutely fantastic experience. I would recommend Stellar GRE to anyone who is considering taking the test. I did some studying by myself, then started with Orion and frankly the time spent by myself was a bit of a waste. Taking his course was significantly more efficient and improved my score significantly beyond what I was able to accomplish on my own.I also ended up taking a private lesson to help boost my math which also made a a VERY big impact on my quant.When it was all said and done I was accepted at Harvard, Chicago, Georgetown, George Washington, and UCLA. As such, I highly highly recommend Stellar GRE.

The GRE was this test that was looming over my head, and I just could not foster the motivation to study. After a recommendation from a friend, I signed up for Orions 8-week class as a way to finally push myself into taking the test. As I reflect now on those 8 weeks there are a couple of things that I walked away with:1. Orion does an amazing job providing his students with only the information that they will need to succeed on the test. If you are so inclined to dive deeper into the topic there is space for that, but the class is focused on training your mind to identify types of problems on the test and how to do them quickly and correctly every time.2. Having been through graduate school himself, Orion provides an refreshingly honest perspective on why you should (or shouldnt) go to graduate school. It may not have always been what I wanted to hear, but I walked away from it confident that this was still the path that I wanted to take.3. Practice, Practice, Practice! Orion gives you the tools you need to learn, if you are willing to take the time to use them.4. Finally, sign up to take the test within 2 weeks of the final class. I took the test the following Saturday, and walked in with all the material still fresh in my mind. I think this had a huge impact on my eventual score.You are never going to feel ready to take the test, but I promise you that you will be able to walk in with the skills you need to get the score you want if you take Orions class!

Orion was a fantastic instructor. He knows the GRE like the back of his hand. He’s intellectual, engaging, and is great at explaining things. The course was extremely valuable. Various efficiency strategies for the verbal, quantitative, and writing sections were taught, reinforced, and practiced throughout the 8-week course. Practice sets (homework) were given weekly, that progressively increased in length and difficulty. He also educates you about the graduate school process in the final class. The course was extremely helpful and effective. It’s important to understand that these strategies MUST be practiced. Put in the work, and by the end of the course you’ll be able to recognize the different types of problems and know when to use the correct strategies taught throughout the course to solve them both correctly and efficiently. 5 stars.

Stellar GRE is hands down the best test review service I have ever used! I took the group prep class for the GRE. I dramatically increased my Quant scores from the bottom 10% to the 62% percentile. I also saw statistically significant increase in my Verbal scores as well. I do not know how a would have done without the prep and feedback on the written part of the exam.Orion is a great instructor. He knows how the testing systems works. He gives you great strategies to maximize the knowledge that you have and how to effectively manage the gaps that exist. Most importantly, he teaches you proven test and time management strategies. I think that if I had had the time to dedicate to working further on my own I could have made a near perfect score. It is the best school-related money I have spent.If you are taking the GRE this is the best review and strategies on the market. I improved my scores well above what was need for the one professional school that required the test. If you are trying to get in to a competitive program and need top tier results, Orion and Stellar GRE are the ticket.

I am not typically a big write a review guy but for Stellar GRE I am happy to make an exception. Orion makes learning fun. His lectures are a perfect mix of being incredibly informative, hilarious and inspiring all at once. I would come to class exhausted after a long day of work and leave at 9pm full of life and ready to take on the world. Even if you dont plan on taking the GRE, I highly recommend taking the class just for the opportunity to learn from a truly talented teacher.

Given the breadth of material covered by the GRE, Orion does a fantastic job teaching effective test taking techniques within the 8 weeks of his course. His approach provides a very systematic way for solving the most common quant/verbal problem types and the homework he assigns does a great job of reinforcing those strategies. He also does a great job of keeping the classes engaging and fun, would highly recommend if youre in San Francisco and looking to prepare for the test.

Taking Orions class was the best decision I made to get the GRE scores I was looking for. I took Orions 2015 group GRE class. Orion showed himself to be a courteous, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable instructor. I applied to graduate landscape architecture programs around the country and was accepted to several top design schools.I had never taken the GRE before, but I was concerned primarily about my quantitative test score, which I was able to raise by several percentile points. My results were very competitive.There will be no shortage of material to study in his class. Even though the class I took was over a year ago, I am still amazed by how Orion has dedicated himself to studying the GRE: how scores are evaluated, successful test-taking behaviors, and of course the problem sets themselves.Orions patient and clear communication style is rare in a teacher. I think his training as an actor and as a psychotherapist must have played a part in this. If you stick with his program, you will be able to enter (and exit) the testing room with confidence.

I had been studying with Magoosh for 3 months, but absolutely would not have the competitive scores I got without Orions help! Some of his tips is worth the money alone. Orion knows all the secrets and tricks that one could do on the GRE test, and in the class he shares his knowledge and insight with his students; I enjoyed it for the intellectually stimulating atmosphere, not to mention Orions great personality and pedagogical methods. I would highly recommend signing up for his class, for one of the reasons is that it will help you discover which area of the test you would want to concentrate more in your studying (and on which one - less). This, coupled with the right and simple (underlined twice) approach to solve problems (that you will learn in the class), will give you a satisfactory result with reasonable effort.Most people wouldnt need to score 99th percentile on each section, and for them this class is more than sufficient. For the ones who are aiming for the top 10 schools, this class is still full of useful information; if youre one them, it is up to you to decide whether you would prefer group or private lessons.

Orion is a fantastic teacher whose years of experience in teaching, dissecting the GRE, and refining a tried-and-true approach for conquering every question type is more effective and efficient than other classes and/or solo training from books. I took Orions 8 week GRE prep course 9 weeks before I was scheduled to take the exam. I hadnt prepared at all. Orion is a true expert and master of this exam--in his course you will gain access to wisdom and little-known insight about the test, its scoring, and how to strategically attack it. My roommate was taking the Princeton Review online class at the same time, we would compare what we were learning, and it was clear that Orions curriculum was superior. This showed in my final GRE scores, and I can safely say I dominated the essay sections by using his strategies. If youre looking to hack the GRE, learn to deal with test anxiety, and get the highest scores possible through the most clever approach to the test, you want Orion on your side.

Orion is an excellent tutor. I only needed to raise my writing score by 1/2 a point and Orion was the perfect person to go to. (I tried another tutoring service first: they placed me with a tutor who was leaving the country to 4 days! Not very helpful.) Not only was he willing to find a time that worked for me with my busy schedule, he knows the GRE inside and out, forwards and backwards. Orion, helped me understand how to write the kind of essay ETS is looking for. He was also dedicated to helping me learn from my mistakes and making sure that I did my best. Even after our last session, Orion offered to read over additional practice essays and give me feedback before the test day arrived. If you are as frustrated by this test as I was, there is no one better than Orion to go to for help!

I cant believe Im the first to review! Orion has been helping people crush the GRE for over a decade. So he must be one of the Bay Areas best kept secrets. After a couple months of half-hearted self-study, I was at my wits end with this test. I had never worked with a tutor before, but I just wasnt getting the results I needed. So I called Orion. I wish I had done so sooner! Orions approach is extremely practical and efficient. It isnt about learning math, its about raising scores. I started seeing results from the very first session. As time went on, it became increasingly obvious that knowing “how” to take the test was just as important as knowing “what” was on the test –and Orion gave me the strategies and techniques I needed to feel confident and capable on test day. Eventually I went on to score in the 90th percentile on quant (up from the 61st, ugh), which met the median score for the program at Stanford I was applying to and then some. Orion is a gash-danged rockstar.His lessons structure the format of the GRE in a way thats digestible and approachable for students at any level of preparation. I found myself excited to not only attend each class, but to also implement what I learned when practicing on my own. By the time I took the exam, I felt dialed and it showed. I received a 6 on my written section (99th percentile), and dramatically raised my verbal and quant scores as well.
