They took my money, didnt deliver a transcript, acted like they didnt get my money. Poor poor customer service. I am out $18.65 and have no transcript. They make up excuses like you bought credits or apple charged you but a real company would say we are sorry our app didnt work right, we know you are out of $$$, can we do a transcription on the house since you didnt get what you paid for? but this company just made excuses, blamed Apple, and the credit system. I was looking for a long term partner for hundreds of transcriptions a year. It will not be the scammers at Rev.com

After using Rev several times this year to provide subtitles for our schools videos, I just have to publicly rave about them. This service is SO fast, so accurate, so reasonably priced, and so easy to use. Im sad to see the many negative employee reviews here and I hope that Rev has improved in that area. From a customer perspective, however, Rev cant be beat.

I was skeptical about the accuracy of the transcription, as the source video was highly technical in nature. However, I was extremely impressed at the capability and accuracy of the results, and using these transcriptions has saved me huge amounts of editing time. I was also extremely impressed with the speed of the turn-around. I will definitely be using this service again :-)

Quick, accurate and helpful when I had to call about one file they had issues with. There was background noise that made it difficult to transcribe. They clearly explained what was going on and the file was transcribed best they could - or anyone could for that matter. Thank you for saving me hours!

I use Rev a lot and love how fast they turn things around. Usually 24 hours, sometimes same day. Accuracy is good - only one time I had an issue in at least 50 uses, and they re-did the transcription at no charge. I recommend them without reservation :)

I LOVE this service! We use them to caption our videos, and to transcribe our videos. We also have their app on our phone - talk about a seamless process--- record it the Rev app hit upload and get your transcription in no time. I have had fantastic service 100% of the time. As someone who started working for Rev desperately in need of an at-home job, I cannot say Ill be sticking around. On average I received around $3-$4/hr it took so much time for one job! I am a very quick typist, 73-76 WPM and am knowledgeable in the English language, but that does not matter! The time consuming part is having to rewind to understand what someone says through the toughest of quality, and having to research corresponding subject matters that you are unfamiliar with. An hour and a half worth of recording took me over 9 hours to complete and I received $40. Not worth it. I need a job, but Im not going to be a slave worker.

Absolutely, positively the worst customer service Ive experienced in a long time. Sent them 2 videos for captions. They claimed there was no audio on either. I confirmed that there was, in fact audio. But, just to help, I moved the videos to a different URL and again confirmed that there was audio. When I shared the new URL, they decided that the best course of action would be to remind me that there was no audio on the original URL and refund my money. I would need to completely start over and order the captions again, pay again (before even receiving my refund) and wait for them to confirm that the new order had audio. (even though they had already confirmed that they COULD hear the audio in the new URLs) All the while, they acted as if this was all normal procedure that I should expect. Right. No thanks.

I was blown away when they returned a 38 page transcript in 18 hours and actually looked up and added some information for me that I didnt know at the time of the recording. Absolutely AMAZING!!! Will use again.

I’ve transcribed almost 20 hours in the past few days and only earned $56. Each video is very time consuming. I received a strange email from Rev support saying my account was permanently close without any warnings, and stated the decision was final. Thinking it was a mistake, I reached out to support and they said their systems mess up sometimes and that I should’ve got a warning about unclaiming projects. (Most available projects are very difficult. Very bad audio, videos aren’t the right length, some impossible to transcribe and will be on there for weeks) As the conversation went on, nothing made sense. It sounds they were looking for an excuse to cover up their mistake. Just my experience, I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else. There are lots of other transcribing companies!

Very impressed with the quality and speed of Rev. We had been using a competitor, who this year was very slow (weeks) vs hours for Rev. Rev is our new go to site for transcription service.

Their website says the work will be done within 48 hours. Ive had really good luck with it being completed within 2 hours.

Tried to work with a different company, they charged way too much in the end because my audio was inaudible. So a classmate reccommended Rev to me and it was the best decision a procrastinating student could ever make. The turn around was less than 24 hours! 100% would recommend this to a friend and 100% would use it again in the future. Keep up the great work transcribers! We need more people like you all!

This company scams their employees. They pays them (on a good day) $2 an hour but tells them if they do good enough work they can make more. Then, they mark your work (that you sent 8 hours on and got paid $16 for) as unusable because its missing a hyphen in the beginning. That way they never actually have to promote anyone and never have to pay people for theyre hard work. Disgusting.
