This law office is super efficient. The office staff responded to our email request quickly. Fastest way to lose your $300! I paid for a 30-minute consultation with them. Daniel spoke with me for about 10 minutes and said would use rest of the time to review my supporting documents later and get back. Unmerited lawsuits are a thorn in the side of any professional: very pre-meditated and targeted ambulance chaser suits that seek to exploit, usually on behalf of the undertrodden and neglected. Problem is that these suits have a settlement cost that is lower than going to court to battle the accusation. (And these costs do nothing but drive up industry rates, which in turn affect the exact victim that the suit was meant to protect -- our system propagates a vicious cycle. And of course the profits are shared heavily with the attorney doing the ambulance chasing.).But given our legal system, I have to say that Bornsteins direct and no-nonsense approach is a breath of fresh air. Hes to the point, gives his financial analysis best he can, and once a decision is made immediately seeks the results desired. Never a guarantee, but in our case it was over and done with-in a week, at less cost than he guessed, and I have the balance of the retainer in my account to prove it....My thanks to Mr. Bornstein & team.

This is one of the most unethical lawyers I have ever encountered. He regularly circumvents the law to evict people without ever presenting the truth to a Judge. I totally understand that there are instances where people have to be evicted but Daniel Bornstein violates legal and ethical regulations to remove tenants and makes a mockery of our judiciary.I personally was ignored and information was kept from me. I left a dozen or more messages and he even hung up on me once when I managed to get through. He lied to the judge. He even altered the address on a property in order to deceive the Sherriff and evict immediately before a Court appearance was scheduled. He knew that if a judge saw DBIs order prohibitting eviction (or the collection of rent), he could not remove the tenant.Perhaps worst of all, he volunteers with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.and plays both sides. How can he ethically settle a matter representing both sides at once?Unfortunately, attorney misconduct claims were not being investigated at the time and he was not disciplined for his overtly illegal activities (see the statement from Jeff Dunn in the Wall Street Journal for more information about the scandal involving attorney misconduct claims). This man has no business practicing law and is a disgrace to the legal profession.

I love this guy. He is completely incompetent. As a tenant who he tried to evict I can say it took him two years and cost his client tens of thousands. Eventually his client fired him. Hes great for simple easy evictions. Cookie cutter stuff against people who dont have a decent lawyer but anything beyond that just terrible.

If I could, Daniel Borenstein would be getting a negative 1. This man is one of those lawyers who flies by the seat of his pants, anbd is reckless. He does not care about the collateral damage his free-wheeling, ignorant, and pathetically short sighted business practices cause, to whom, or any other aspect of how he damages people and their lives. He is unskilled, reckless, and he is happy with work that is good enough for government - aka barely adequate. Avoid this firm and this attorney if you want a complete and thorough job done.
