We had our oil changed Saturday early afternoon and by the mid afternoon the tire pressure light turned on. We checked the tires and noticed that one of the tire air caps was missing. Today, Sunday, as we were driving on the freeway we heard a flapping noise and had to pull over. We noticed that the cover on the bottom of the car (not sure if it’s called the under panel or splash shield) had not been properly put back in and so it was hanging low. Therefore creating that flapping noise as we drove.

Fast, friendly- but unfortunately extremely expensive. Ive never spent the better part of $100 on an oil change before, and never will again; and this is AFTER I brought my own oil for them to use!

First time here, I liked it was a drive through didnt even have to get out of my car. When I went there was a lane open and they were able to get it done pretty quick. I would definitely go again.

My battery mysteriously “died and was not able to be jumped” while I got my oil changed. The assistant manager tried to convince me to buy a new battery on the spot. When I told him I would call AAA, he said they probably wouldn’t be able to give me a new battery. He then repeatedly insisted on trying to roll me out of the garage in neutral with no power steering onto busy Folsom street. Finally AAA came, jumped my battery, and ran a battery diagnostic showing my battery was in perfect health. Unbelievable. Very sketchy. On top of that, the assistant manager made consistent remarks about my physical appearance during my oil change (“complimented” my hair…my nails..the size of my small hands…asked how tall I was…said I was a nice height for a woman). Extremely uncomfortable experience topped off by an attempted battery swindle.

Cool and convenient for a drive through Oil change, Less than 15 minutes I was all set.

They advertise 15-minute drive thru. There was one car in front of us. We waited 25-minutes before they touched the car in front. Then it was another 10 minutes before working on us. I spoke to the manager, who was not polite or helpful. The staff was nice and gave us a $10 discount for waiting, but since we were stuck there (a car in front and a car in back of us) 45- minutes Im not going back and will not recommend it...

Wish I could give zero, they don’t care about ur vehicle, after the oil and filter change, my car’s splash shield start to fail from the vehicle, it will cost 300 - 500 to change then all, very disappointed

This location has the worest service I ever had. They will tell you that theyre out of stock after waiting for 1hr in the line. The staff are unprofessionals and disrespectful.

Quick and Easy Service.- Tire Pressure light was on after a tire rotation and they immediately double checked to make sure I wasnt leaving with any issues.

It is almost an instant oil change! Less than 15 mins for the work, although I did have to wait around 15 mins for the car in front.

It was fast and cheaper than the dealership. They answer questions and are fairly transparent about the work they do.

Very pleased that I could just pull in (with no appt.) and get oil changed, tires rotated and new air filter with such ease and so fast. They topped off fluids and helped me reset my maintenance settings on dashboard. I will definitely be back.

While my oil was being changed the person working on my car was called to go to lunch. He left, and no one came to take over for 10 or so minutes, so I called someone over to ask what was going on with my vehicle. When someone finally came, they had no idea where the last person had left off and didnt bother to ask, and tried to send me on my way without oil in my car and without preforming the other services Id paid for. Obviously a major safety issue that is unacceptable.I also got a tire rotation and now two of the tires keep going flat. This never happened before then I came here and I have to put air in my tires twice a week.Overall just a chaotic environment. The first employee I was working with was very friendly and knowledgeable, so if he just finished the job it would have been a great experience. Seems like the issue is within the way the place is managed (i.e. no organization around break times and no communication between employees).

All the staff was well-dressed and performed in a very business manner very professional I would go back and use the service again

1-7-21:Visited for the first time because I needed an oil change and my usual place for the last decade was closed due to covid-19 shutdowns.Joshua was the CSR who took great care of me and my car. There was another person who worked below the deck (Samuel) and Tafao worked the topside. Everyone was friendly and the job was done quickly while I sat in my car.Would definitely come back again... Even when my usual mechanic opens up again.

Quick oil change. Didnt even get out of the car. Recommend going mid morning for no line.

Went there from buying oil change coupon from Groupon.. Honestly didnt think it was worth it.. First made me wait over 40 minutes... No system of first come first serve.. People that came after me went first... They will add additional fees and taxes to the coupon amount therefore you will end up paying more.. Service not too satisfying...they check lights and wipers which I can do it myself... So overall service not too satisfying.. I gave 1 star because the staffs or the manager had no sense of apology for all the wait...

During a pandemic, nothing beats being able to sit inside your car while your oil is changed in less than 15 minutes, with socially distanced, friendly, helpful, and professional interactions with the staff. Ive had all positive interactions with everyone I talked to over the phone and in person. While its a little pricey compared to, say, Walmart, this is downtown SF, after all, and the speed and convenience were well worth it. Dont forget to call and check for coupons!

+ Fast, fast, fast!+ Don’t get out of the car.- It’s a little bit more expensive but the amount of+ time you save makes my+ weekend much, much longer.+ Since ownership changed they are much better managed, more friendly and an overall better experience.- They charge for an oil top off between changes but it only takes+ three minutes and I’m on the road again.

I came by to drop off some use motor oil and the manager said to give Valvoline a shot. I let him know i stripped my oil drain plug and he asked what year and what car. I told him and he came back with two different drain plugs to try out. He was super helpful when all I came to do was drop off oil. I would definitely recommend for others to come here based off this positive interaction.

I have read all of the reviews and majority of them are favorable. I will be going in later today for an oil change. I did not know Valvoline offered smog checks so I decided to knock them both out at the same time. I will later post my full experience review based on the following: 1. Greeting 2. Concerns 3. Attention to detail 4. Wait time 5. Price. They will all be graded on the scale of 1-5 system, with 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. FYI this will be my very FIRST VISIT.

Very unsatisfactory went there with my own oil and filter my car port dry and after oil change car was leaking oil took it back to have them say they don’t change oil gasket when they are the ones that damage it in the first place then they send me home leaking worse then when I went in losing all my new oil what oil place doesn’t check for no leaks before you leave you stay in your car and u can’t see anything they are doing they should allow u to get out of your car and observe pictures will come when I get off work 300 7th street

Ive been going to this place for years - since before Valvoline took over (and Ive noticed no change since they did). Every single time I go, which is 2-3 times per year (car is a 2012 with only 50k!) I am so impressed by how polite the technicians are. So rare these days. And Ive never been upsold without good reason - like showing me the filthy air filter that needs replacement. I moved to Oakland a few years ago when I could no longer keep pace with the techie take-over, but I still go here for my oil changes. Great job guys! The excellent work is appreciated!

I appreciate the work done and the person who serviced my vehicle when I was there. He was very nice and walked me through everything. This was my first trip to the place and I left giving it, in my mind, 5 stars. A week later I went to use my windshield wipers and they hadnt filled the fluid. Not a problem, as these things happen. I used it prior to this visit so I knew it was getting low but working fine. What really ticked me off is when I called to let them know, the gentleman who picked up insisted that there could just be a leak in my windshield fluid holder, which I know there isnt as its worked fine, just needed a fill. I went onto say its all good I just wanted it taken care of. What was a good experience really ruined it for me as he was on the defensive and really it was not appreciated at all. Id say, the person that helped me was great. It was a simple mistake, but its the attitude and instant assumption that the mistake was on me that gave them a 3. Unfortunate.

These guys are the best though not the cheapest. I always feel secure that absolutely everything has been checked and filled and that quality products have been used. They are super fast and efficient. They are always very accommodating about adding the Lucas oil additive I bring.

Not very busy but it took longer than 15 minutes they advertised you can watch the job being done while you sit in your car this is completely false.

Would definitely recommend Oil Can Henrys to anyone!I went in and only had to wait a couple minutes in my car for it to be my turn. They did my oil change, switched my reverse lights, and gave me a new filter for a pretty decent price. Everyone helping me was very nice and explained everything to me patiently since Im not car-savvy at all. Entire experience probably took 20 mins tops. Prices are very reasonable too.

Ive been coming here since my Toyota Care ran out and Ive never opened my hood. Its been 60K miles so I guess it looks good under there. I really dont want to know.The only suggestion I might have would be WiFi, why not.Everybody Ive dealt with has been professional and friendly taking the time to explain what they are doing.They send me a $10 off coupon so it brings the total cost to under $100. I think its expensive $$$ but its worth it. I dont even have to get out of the car.

Been going here for about 5 oil changes (before they changed ownership). Everyone is super friendly, and well...its an oil change so its pretty transnational and light hearted. On this last go around I asked them to rotate the tires, which they did. What they forgot to do was actually secure the hubcaps back in place and now 3 of the 4 hubcaps I had on my car are now one with the universe.Little bit bummed since it isnt that hard to secure a hub cap (Id rotate my own tires if I had a lift and jackstand). Although cosmetic, those things are annoying to have to go replace.EDIT: Was contacted by Valvoline corporate immediately after posting. Within two weeks, theyve agreed to replace the hubcaps. Great service and updated review!
