Worst hardware experience ever. I went first thing in the morning to buy 4 pieces of plywood, totaling about $400. I was hoping to have this wood cut down so that it could at least fit in my car as planned. I waited 45 minutes for someone to cut the wood for me after I had already purchased it. Finally a worker came to cut the wood after multiple calls for assistance on the loudspeaker. He didn’t acknowledge me or my requests and cut 4 cuts and then said he was done, claiming I reached my “5 cut limit” that was never brought to my attention by any of the 3 associates I had talked to. I would’ve been happy to pay for extra cuts and that’s what I was planning on doing. I begged management to make more cuts. They refused and I was unable to fit the wood in my car, and they also refused to hold it for me while I searched for a truck to rent. Finally, after a third time at the customer help desk, a different worked came and made one more cut for me so I could at least fit it in my vehicle (still not the ideal # of cuts I needed for my project - which was only 4 more; had to do the rest myself at home). Management is terrible when it comes to customer service and wood cutting - which is literally a service they offer and should be willing to honor. Ending up wasting almost 3 hours at this Lowe’s after spending a good amount of money.
It was a little busier than normal, however the team here was still as phenomenal as they usually are. I had a question and found an employee quickly and she was not super knowledgeable (about circular saws, but she didnt pretend to know the answers. She found someone who could answer my questions. Its a tough neighborhood its tough town but these guys hit the nail on the head every time... I really love Hitting up this Location.
More convenient than going to Daly City Home Depot or Westlake, but be prepared, the employees here know nothing about any products what so ever. Be prepared, unless you are buying a light bulb, youre on your own.
Purchased refrigerator online, the inventory was taken out of SF location. It was supposed to be delivered for two weeks now and still no refrigerator after hours on hold with customer service - no one is able to help, just transfers, more hours on hold and then the automatic system just hangs up on you because there is no answer on the other end. They promise a phone call from a manager within 24 hours and no one ever calls back. We ordered several appliances through other stores and Lowes is by far the WORST company to deal with. I never waisted this much time on hold or with customer service. I do NOT recommend relying on this company.
Do not ever schedule a delivery with this store. Twice I scheduled deliveries. Twice I received texts that the product would be delivered to my address within minutes. Nothing ever arrived. When I called customer service, they told me the store had not even picked the product. No commitment to deliver the product within a specified time. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. And zero accountability. Oh, and the store will not answer the phone.
I always had preferred to shop at Lowe’s vs. Home Depot but just experienced the worst customer service ever from this location! So disappointing and unprofessional.Had a similar experience as other customers regarding this location’s delivery service. Bought a fridge online, had a confirmed delivery date, and then the SF location rescheduled/canceled the delivery multiple times WITHOUT notifying me. I called over a dozen times, no one picked up. Does anyone answer the phone at this location!?Perhaps other Lowe’s locations are better, but seriously do not order online from this place because you likely will not get your delivery on time.
Maybe Lowe’s should rebrand themselves as, “Lower, ” because all you have to do is compare a few prices on Amazon & Lowe’s wins the big finish! 🏁🏁🏁Sure, having the ingredients for your COVID-DIY-I’m-So-Bored projects delivered to your front door is a perk but apparently youre going to pay for it!⚖️ Exhibit A: Henrys Feed-N-Wax is something Ive been searching for and had it on my Amazon cart for a few weeks -PRICE ✔️: $14.97At Lowe’s I found it for $8.48TOTAL SAVINGS: $6️⃣.4️⃣9️⃣Im not usually a super shopper (or spreader for that matter) but this was a good example of Amazon price gouging, if you ask me!I picked up a few other items without comparing prices and Im happy as a clam. Lowe’s makes the not so blue collar individual feel a bit more comfortable browsing the aisles of its stores compared to those of Home Repo (*spelling error on purpose).Lowes stores are usually fairly clean, the sounds heard are not deafening and one doesnt have to feel less than for asking silly questions. Its a win-win situation!! 🏁🏁🏁
Finding parking is a pain! My wife has mobility issues and there arent enough handicap spaces. The nursery has a good selection of flowering plants; very congested aisles though. Still cant pay by phone.
Other than the location, this lowes is not good. San Bruno is much better.Curbside pickup is a parking lot and no one ever picks up the phone. Dont even try, just go in.That is if they have your stuff. Ive ordered 3 things online, 2x it said it was there but then it was not. We will give you a refund doesnt account for my time wasted waiting for the items. Home depot online ordering and curbside in any location in the area has been flawless
Im absolutely at the end of my rope. Whatever you do, dont try to get a delivery from here or to expect any service over the phone. The phone just rings off the hook for 15 minutes each time I call and then hangs up. When someone does transfer me to Deliveries, they hang up on me. I called 8 times yesterday and so far 7 times today and Im losing my mind!! Not to mention they CANCELLED my hot water heater delivery yesterday and didnt notify me in any way, so I was home waiting all day with no updates, except for one midday text where they said theyd be there in 20 minutes. I AM FREAKING OUT at this point, sorry to say. I paid them $755 for a water heater and this is the service??? (No service. Horrible.) Ive also called the main Lowes service line and they only have the one store number for SF. What a wreck. This is also not the first hiccup with deliveries Ive had from them this month. DONT SHOP HERE FOR THINGS YOU NEED DELIVERED!!
Very convenient place to shop for utilities. Very nice people to talk to and they are welcome to help whenever they can.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the phone number for this location is essentially useless. If they call, you better plan on answering, or you will never be able to get through when calling back. They are also extremely poor at communicating any changes to scheduled home deliveries, and you are relegated to getting through to the Lowe’s Customer Support call center to inquire for any updates. Prearranged delivery dates are not guaranteed, and they may not inform you of any changes, potentially resulting in you waiting for a delivery that will never arrive. This store really is an affront to the Lowe’s name. They will waste your time, and their incompetence knows no bounds.
Yup, what you would expect these days. Picked up 1 item and waited 10th min. to get rung up. Employee was overwhelmed due to lack of support. They had what I needed but....I wont be back. Better service across the street!
This store is huge, clean, and disappointing. I had to stop by for an important item which I needed staff assistance to find. However, the first staff person I approached, though very friendly and polite, wasnt able to help me since the item wasnt within their department. The next two staff persons I approached were speaking with each other and seemed bothered by my interrupting them. One appeared to be in management while the other was wearing a red vest. They gave me directions on where to find the item which left me perplexed because the item wasnt there. So I went back and asked again. They must have been doubly irritated because I interrupted them twice so far. I requested further assistance and that seemed to force these two away from each other. One led me to another isle, (different from the one I was directed to) pointed at the item I was there for, and walked away. The point here is customer service is hit or miss. And it was mostly a miss on this occasion.
Without a doubt the WORST customer service you will ever experience. They NEVER answer the phone. All you do is get put on hold and then get auto hangup. Just buy from San Bruno Lowes. Youll have to go to the store, but at least theyll get something done.
Don’t brother calling. The existing reviews are accurate. This Lowe’s is unpleasant to shop at, and should be avoided at all costs. If you absolutely must go here, don’t bother calling ahead, as no one will answer. After around 15 minutes of listening to how important your call is, you will be disconnected. After the fifth time I was disconnected, I drove from the East Bay to this Lowe’s in order to speak to a customer service representative.Don’t bother calling (or going) to this Lowe’s.
In and out fast.Staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. Their self checkout is super easy
Great selection. Great prices. However, just my experience- well meaning, extremely nice, but inept service. Nobody in the place could help me find an item I was looking for. Multiple staff members sent me on a wild goose chase throughout the huge store, guessing where my item was (but not knowing).
Literally never picks up their phone. Im trying to figure why I was charged for something I never ordered or picked up and even the main office cant get a hold of anyone on the phone. Absurd.
I ordered mulch for delivery and without any notice the delivery date was changed. When I called customer service to change the ‘new’ date to one that would work for me I had to wait 40 mins on hold. After all that it turns out the delivery date was never changed on their end and I have to call back in to reschedule. I called back, on hold for 20 mins and after talking to an associate was promptly hung up on. On hold again now. Lowe’s customer service is trash.
Amazing collection of plants for sale..... Exotic succulents and green foliage plants
Im sure that Lowes is very important for many customers. I was not pleased. Parking is a nightmare, that can be avoided once you realize there is more space on the upper level. There were NO carts for anyone. How does this store function with no carts? No one was answering the phone in the appliance department. I know this because the call was announced numerous times during the 30 minutes I was there. Definitely not good!
Excellent product choices, not to mention great customer service.I admit I went to another box store first. I had difficulty finding someone to ask any questions, and/or inquire if they even carried the items I needed. When someone finally was located, hmmm, I felt I was bothering him when I asked if the store carried what I was looking for. He gave me a direct no. Period. Bye. He was outta there. HmmmI came to Lowes, which I should have done in the first place, and will do first from now on. When I arrived I was greeted with a pleasant hello and how can we help you today. I made my inquiry. The first person couldnt find it on the list, but he asked someone else, who pleasantly took me over to the items. Yup, should have saved myself earlier frustration and gone to Lowes first.Great service from the time I entered the store, to the time I drove out of the garage. Good job Lowes on Bayshore Blvd., SF
TL;DR: this place is the last resort of the desperate DIYer. Avoid.I dont know if other Lowes are better, but this one on Bayshore is virtually useless. All of the hardware, building, electrical and plumbing supply aisles are always in complete disarray. Very often I find that the most common items are out of stock. Finding anything, even if it is in stock, is usually always a nightmare. The employees, while polite, are just as often lacking knowledge of their departments subject matter, current stock and availability. I was excited when I moved to this neighborhood to be so close to a home improvement store. Fortunately, as this is all near the freeway, I just hop on 280 and go to Home Depot in Daly City or Colma. If I know I wont have time to go those other stores within the next two days, I usually just order from Amazon rather than suffer the inevitable aggravation to be had after travelling the few blocks to Lowes.
This is my go to place for just about anything that I may need to do odd projects around home. The carry a big selection of building materials and they are 99.9% of the time they will have what you need in stock. Then in the spring when its planting time they will have all your lawn plants and flowers to veggies for your garden.
I hate this place. I try to go just about any hardware store before going here.-unorganized-lazy unhelpful workers-inconsistent merchandise; buy something today, who knows if theyll have it next week. Noone can tell you when they will have it again because they dont known what the hell youre talking about and cant be bothered.-store is in a very general sense, a complete mess.I prefer to go to central hardware on 3rd st. If I need something they dont have, Id drive to home depot in colma...before going to Lowes. Lowes is about .5 mi from where Im at.
Staff was a helpful. All items readily available
The worst store you can ever visit. No carts, parking is used for storage. Nothing is ever stocked. The staff is mostly bodies..might as well employ zombies. There are a few good people working there but they got transferred from the SSF location once they shut down that store. They should have shut down this store its ridicules. The only reason people shop here is because there is no other place to go
Avoid this place. Its not worth the aggravation. Some of the most worthless Zombie-like employees working there. Absolutely worthless. Everything I go there. Why are there no Home Depots around? Im just going to have to pay the higher prices at the neighborhood hardware stores or buy online and holdout through the delivery time. I will not return to this Lowes!
If I could give zero stars to this store I would. Employees do not assist in any way shape or form which makes me wonder
Terrible customer service. Waited for 30 mins to get a power screw driver and nonone willing to help. Worst CUstomer experience in a long long time at any place.
Not the best place to buy paint. Stood there in line for awhile before being noticed. 5 kids in paint section doing nothing but talking. Go Lowes! Keep up the great work.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION!! This is not a in-&-out store so be sure to clear your schedule as your store visit will most likely be an all day thing. This store location is unfortunately filled with unexperienced workers. Their instore services and customer service is a joke. The San Bruno location is just as bad.
Super terrible the attendants never show up the product never fill up whorts place
Slowest staff you could possibly imagine. Dozens of staff standing around, not helping one bit. Better to drive over to HomeDepot in Colma
I went in for some paint and supplies last month or before it was 9:30pm the guy in paint dept African American did a wonderful job matching the paint I needed and was very helpful I just now started painting 100% perfect match thank you very much again have a wonderful summer.Ray
How much would it kill you to Put some Handles on ur bags. You cant walk outta Lowes without your bag busting all over the parking lot. But Lord forgive me if I bring my own.
Worst customer service ever nobody cares and nobody helps at all and when they do they give you an attitude I will never shop at LOWES again. Home Depot forever at least they offer to help and smile 😊 doing it.
Lowes always has what I need in a pinch. Helpful staff when you can find someone.
Sad didnt have part I needed. very helpful anyway. enjoy.haha
The worst place to shop. No ad merchandise on hand on the first day of sale. No posting on ad stating the Greenworks products can only be ordered on line. Store departments are very clutter and full of outs. Inventory on hand is so accurate. Too much shrink. Tried calling their corporate customer service line. Waited 47 minutes on the phone just to have them play that game hanging up on me.
Service is terrible. They are short staffed and no one ever answers the phone. I get they are trying but management needs to have more staff. My curbside order was not curb side. The numbers they provided to call when there, no one answered. When I asked, I was told no ones working curbside but they have no signs posted for customers. Every single time I come here its a long wait for something I pre ordered and paid for. Absolutely terrible.
Please organize your online order process better.I’ve tried waiting in the line as well as curbside. Both times I waited in line, the wait was so long I cancelled my online order, went inside, found the item myself, and used self-checkout.As I write this, I am currently on minute 18 of an endless ringtone when I call the curbside pickup number. At two other stores, I recently had the opposite experience; a team member greeted me in the parking lot, took my name and confirmed my ID, and was back with my items in less than two minutes.
Well have all you need in home decoration and more
I love shopping here. They carry all the essentials you need for building etc. I needed to do some hanging & they had every size hooks and screws we needed in stock! Quick service with good customer service.
I go to the store lot its oftentimes hard to find what I need and its a bit pricey but the quality of the products are really good five stars
I love the product. But I do believe they have the worst organization system as far as how the store/employees work ethics and the whole store ran. idk, maybe they need to hire more people.but once inside. Its a sink or swim type deal. Your pretty much own your own. Check out is quite a bit of wait, self checkout is a little bit faster. a hassle nonetheless. Appliance dept be prepared to wait at least 15 possibly more. And God forbid you find yourself in customer service its like an intersection with no lights. Enter at your own risk
They usually have what I need and bit better merchandise if your looking for extra value.
It is nice to have someone know where items are. The young lady assisting me was helpful and polite.
Is there anyone trained to do their jobs at least? This Lowes takes cake in terms of having to train their workers. It may be that they are either not trained in the basic skills of customer service but it makes you miss the smaller OSHs and the Ace Hardwares of the world. This store is bleh!
So its a big store, huge inventory but where are your employees located?
If you ask Valentino for help, he will be annoyed, won’t give you advice and leave you with someone else. Maybe it’s better to have someone who likes being customer facing on the floor? Will buy what I need from ACE
Excellent customer service and you can find almost everything
Good selection and great customer service I really recommend
I believe that Lowes have great prices and I need everything they got everything accept wite kits for car stereo equipment
Very disappointed parkinglot to much trash all over wen to get a shopping car and inside used pamper whit #2 disgusting
The staff is very nice the lines are not overbearing
Actually my review here is for the TOP LEVEL OF THE LOWES PARKING GARRAGE- as i never actually made it inside the store- I parked up there to enjoy my Jack in the Box (just accross the street) Drive Thru order and crank up music on the car stereo at volumes that would have Law Enforcement showing up anywhere else. I needed to be alone with my thoughts on the 2 year Anniversary of my wife being murdered😢 and focus on recalling the happy memories with her. I was up there so long and lost track of time- when i finally drove down, I was LOCKED IN!!! 😱 but there were still employees there and one of them opened the gate for me.
Incompetent and unreliable, waste of time We waited all day for a window delivery. Ended up going back to Lowes because of course, they do not answer their phones either. As soon as we walked in they told my father-in-law. Oh yeah, we cant find your window order. We will have to deliver it tomorrow.
There was an event, but there were absolutely no signs or directions of where to go or park for the event. Are you supposed to park upstairs or downstairs? Later another customer and I could not leave the store. You can only leave through another entrance.
This company needs some serious efficiency training!!
No shopping carts... Customer service uses them for returned items.Hardly any cashiers... They are there but just walking around talking with lines of 10 or more people long.Oh and no one ever answers the phone if you call.I had a terrible time I had ordered a refrigerator on line... Lowes notified me it was at the store for pick up.I called 100 times even the corporate offices... No answer. Finally I went in and it took 45 minutes for them to arrange the refrigerator to be delivered.Really bad way to run a business!!!
Rude people who when asked simple questions either didnt want to answer or made no effort in finding someone who could answer our questions. We were in the gardening section they had pallets in the way of aisles. I couldnt get through, i asked 1 member of staff to move it, he walked away! 1st till there never going back there again!!
They always have what I need.
Ive tried calling this store about 25 times today to talk about an incorrect delivery and have gotten hung up on every single time. Ive waited over two months for a delivery and when it arrived today it was the incorrect item. No one from any of the national numbers can help me, but the store wont answer their phone either. I would never recommend anyone order from this store.
As usual, this lowes store was mediocre at best. The staff is unbelievably unprofessional for the most part, and lack in knowledge of content. Youd expect the girl working in tools to know what a C Clamp is, right? More or less, it boils down to poor management, little to no staff training, and the idea that its acceptable to not be able to answer questions about the products youre selling. Not to mention the store is a scattered mess right now because theyve been doing a complete floor reset, during store hours, causing total chaos for everyone shopping. It has a few saving features and employees, but for the most part it needs new management, a better trained staff, a more structured process for executing things and over all a better attitude in general.
I dont know why I continue to go to Lowes Home Improvement storage it seems to me that he being a customer the employees with the knowledge should actually give some knowledge instead of just being there its been several times where I needed some parts sound equipment and I never get any real service so I kind of gave them a two stars only for their products not their service?thank you, come again.
They have a large parking garage and alot of inventory.
I find the paint section to be disorganized and oddly categorized. Whatever happened to colored paint? A stir stick at the cashier and gloves nearby would be helpful. Really disappointed as this was my first visit to a Lowes.
This place always seems to have what I need. Not always the best pricing but they do always have the things that I need which is great!
The parking situation can be a bit intense when they are busy with the typical Lowes behemoth trucks mixing with the everyday cars. The store itself is usually spacious but I find the tool aisle annoying due to anti-theft/security measures going on.
Run from this store. Especially flooring contracting and installation. This Lowes location performs significantly under par for the brand and service experiences Ive had with other locations. I recently contracted for new flooring in a condo and attempted to complete a number of retail purchases - both met with so many failures I find myself vowing to never shop here again. They dont answer their phones, they dont return emails, they dont meet promises to resolve problems. They cant find their stock. The store is perpetually being reorganized. They overcharge and duplicate charges on contracting jobs and then dont respond when you try to resolve their mistakes. Corporate customer service just refers you back to the stare management - which may not actually exist. Run from this store.
Place is always a ghost town with no service to assist... calling to ask a question and the line ring and rings and rings... someone picks up only to put you on hold without saying a word... then the call disconnects... thats about right for my general lowes experience ! thanks lowes!!!
Worst store ever. Have called store over and over over days and months only to be on hold, hung up etc. Call the national number to get help. We are still trying to get refund for dishwasher ordered in October 2020... most insane experience in my life! And the nightmare continues.
The employees that helped me were excellent thanks again. Mortar and paint departments.
Has a lot of items, and is close by. Easy to park upstairs. But its a mess in there in some aisles.
Helpful staff. Everything you need. Great paint color mixing. Really impressed how helpful and Polite staff was. Highly recommended
Love the place. I was able to find what I needed. People are able to point out the right location. David help me carry out to the car. Thanks
An employee told me I’d have better luck just ordering from Amazon. Found the item I needed on top of a shelf and was told to “go look for Santiago.” And had no idea if I’d be able to even get the item I wanted to buy because it was up high.I don’t know why I continue to ruin my weekend by coming here. Amazon it is.
Not only is it always impossible to find staff to help but the majority of them have no clue about anything. The fourth person I asked however, was willing to go research what I needed and even though it took quite awhile SHE was able to find what I wanted. They could really improve their store by training the employees to their merchandise and stationing one employee in each aisle.
Big box hardware. GI discount. Hard to get help.Plenty of parking. They have parking lot security. U can use internet for store pick up. They didnt support 45 like another big box store.
Good luck getting someone on the phone. You can try every department and extension and no one will pick up. Trash store
Great but they need to stock up the place
We did Curbside pickup and the service was poor. It took 4 calls ringing until the calls dropped just to get through and let them know we were there. We had trouble finding the curb side pickup parking (its opposite the elevators in the parking garage). Order took 15 minutes to be brought out. Staff sort of helped us load our order. All in all not the worst experience but could have been much better.
Definitely prefer Lowes over Home Depot . They always seem to have discount shelves at the end of the isles that you can find some good things for real cheap . Also have a better garden section
Did not have what I needed but before I drove there i talked with an agent online they said they had the appliance there I show up there and they did not have it back order until July so. They dont communicate with each other of what they have there ... total waste of time....
Its Lowes. Everything you could need but too huge for employees to actually know how to help you. Asked 8 men to help open the locked vacuums and none knew the access code. Had to ask the teenage girl up front who helped us immediately. Go figure
Bad customer service. asked for help from five different associates. No eye contact and just kept walking on saying it’s not their department. Finally a worker said he would help passed me up to help other customers.Approached management about this and felt the dialog was not genuine nor did not even offer to help find the support I needed. So I went across the street to another business, FLOORCRAFT, who took the time to help me out getting support and items. Thanks FLOORCRAFT
If there were a 0 zero I mark zero! Bad customer service. I purchased and paid to have a bench deluvered. They kept held on to it for 4 weeks. Went to talked to a manger they stil had the bench and wrapped it then gave it away yes Ill never do business with them. Oh and to add I also talked to corporate. We cant do anything about this matter. Bologna sandwitches😡
I had several issues and dealt w several people, every one was helpful and gracious. They all made sure I was happy w each transaction.Pleasant experienceLaura
This Lowes has gone downhill recently. Firstly, the reserved Veterans parking area was completely eliminated for Online Pick up stalls. There are PLENTY of stalls close to the door to have dedicated to online orders. Then needing assistance locating items and 2 employees back to back both hesitated then said they dont carry what I was looking for, only to find the items myself. Just tell me youre not sure and redirect me to someone who might. And lastly, the man working the self check booths claimed I couldnt use my veteran discount at self check even after insisting I have done it monthly, if not almost weekly for years, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I guess Lowes doesnt stress the importance of Veterans appreciation outside of dedicated holidays.
I dont know what has happened to this location, but it has gone downhill. during this last visit I waited outside in the parking lot while my husband went inside for a quick visit he just needed to pick up some nails and some one pound propane for our Mr. Heater Buddy and our outdoor propane grill for the patio. I know that Lowes sells the 1-pound tanks of Benzomatic propane in 4-packs, 2 packs and single one pound tanks the most bang for your buck would be to purchase a 4-pack which is $16, two packs of benzoate one pound costs 10, and a single is 9. The staff did not know that they carried the four packs and in fact two different people sent him to the wrong departments finally he found the two pack in tools and purchase that which I had to go back in and exchange for the four pack and receive money back I also had an online order for which half of the order was never received and I had to cancel the order I also went to pick up a new big tank of propane and they were out of propane completely it seems this location has been hard hit in the past by people stealing and their main focus as shifted to loss prevention instead of customer service.
Awesome pit stop for the long bike rides. Spro shot for the win!
