To me, they look exactly the same. And perform the same function. Someone is ripping someone off. You know Mercedes Benz buys $1 electronic circuit from China and has the MB logo placed on it and cut a certain way to make it look different. Thats about it.Overpriced if you ask me, because you can buy these keys on Amazon for $13(MB original compared to Amazon in pictures) and have them cut and programmed, which is what I did.They cant seem to keep track of their paperwork for one single day. Different estimates in the same day between two different staff.However the mobile service tech Mario was 5 star. Very nice to work with. But in the end the tech left and car had check engine light, luckily I have my handy scan tool to clear the body control module.

My car has chip in the key so I was able to get a replacement at lock world excellent service

When I lost my camper trailer keys I called a place near me that seemed competent, but I knew I was being ripped off when they quoted me $800 for new keys... luckily I remembered paying $250 for a set of 3 new keys for the 73 Dodge I had lost the keys too once before and called these guys. When I called and explained my situation asking for Mobile service again, they once again quoted me $250 rather than insisting my model of trailer required a bill of $800 like the other chumps. They once again arrived promptly and worked quickly and didn’t surprise me with any fees

Nesto of Lock World was amazing! He appeared at our apartment building about 40 minutes after I made the emergency call. He proved to be extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of our Baldwin door hardware, and was easily able to do the repairs we needed. Two thumbs way up!

I called the dispatcher at about 4:36am. I was told that their technician would be calling me shortly. Long story, shortened... After many phone calls later (Two and one half hours later), I finally received that call. He told me hed be another 25 minutes (he made it in 20). It takes him 5 minutes to get the car door open, and I paid $150.00. In conclusion, I lost a whole days work. Thanks!!!

They’re the best. I had them copy my motorcycle key. Given it wasn’t the original I had my own blank keys man they turn out way better than the key they copied it from! Fast and cheap. Other lock smiths were charging me 75 to 100 to cut my blank keys. These guys did it for 10$ each!! So thanks guys. So whenever I need keys copied or cut I’m going back here!!!

They’re not 24/7. Only open 8:30-5 Mon-Fri. But they’re lovely and cheaper than those automated ones that don’t work.

We have a rather unusual deadbolt, but it was no match for the folks at Lock World. They came out, introduced themselves, had a quick look and gave me an estimate, then got to work while I did other things. Luckily, they had the tail for our rather unusual deadbolt on hand, and were able to complete the repair straight away. They accept credit cards. Im a happy customer.

This is a full service shop. They did our house keys and car key (Honda). All very reasonably priced. The programmable car key took about 45 minutes to program and cut (shorter than other places had quoted).The staff was also very helpful with recommendations for residential locks and remote opening systems and installation.

Lockworld folks helped me many times to get key duplicates. Great quality and great prices. Ive made car, motorcycle and other key duplicates with and without programming.

Went all the way there at 1pm and they were closed. It would be nice if they had the decency to update their working hours on Google as well.

I have had a very pleasant experience both in the store and when I had a technician come out to change the locks on our house. I felt very comfortable, and the work was done properly, quickly, and I had same day service scheduled when I called. The technician checked all the keys to ensure they were working before he gave them to me, gave me different colors for the gates and doors, and explained the bill. Great place for making duplicates of odd sized keys most regular hardware stores cant make. Fast & courteous. Despite the old & confusing signage left at the original location and some old photos on this site, Lock World is no longer at the corner of the block; it moved to the middle of the same block on Geary some time ago.The new location has a temporary-looking banner over the front door.

Someone broke into my truck and damaged the door lock. They told me it would take two hours to fix and thats what it took. They had the parts on hand and also fixed the bent metal around the lock. Looked good. The work was done at a fair price and I couldnt be happier.

I tried having keys copied at a number of hardware stores. All failed in some manner. Finally I left it to the pros. They let me know upfront that they guaranteed their work which wasnt necessary because they worked on the first attempt. Also will let you park in front of their garage bays in a pinch.

I have had a very bad experience in this place. I went to make a copy of the key of my car (sienna). At the moment of checking if all the buttons of the new control worked well I realized that the back door did not close automatically. At that moment I told Nestor the manager of this place. He started to tell me that it could not happen because they did not have access to the computer of the car the point was that before taking my car to this place everything worked well in the car and now not. I have tried to be a friend. I left them my car and I told them that my car wanted it good. They sent the car to toyota dealer of the geary and they gave a check of the car where it said that the motor of the back door needed to be replaced because the motor that had the car was old and that it had no force. I after that I thought that everything made sense and I was arranging my car to a certified bodyshop place. In this bodyshop they have put a new engine to the car to my surprise after the change of engine the back door of the car continues with the default of not closing and opening automatically. I tired of wasting time I go back to lock world and again I talk to Nestor this time he was even more negative and he told me to talk to his boss to see what he can do and give me a solution. I was waiting for your call I get tired of waiting for the call (3 days) and I decided to call this time, Nestor told me that they had nothing else to do ... I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone ...
