Since 2014, I have worked with the amazing folks at Workbridge when looking for new exciting opportunities in San Francisco or Los Angeles. One of my favorite and best jobs I have ever had was through utilizing Workbridge’s services. The recruiters do a fantastic job of pairing my skill set and interests with potential opportunities and they are incredibly helpful in preparing me for the ensuing interviews. The team provides constant transparent feedback and invaluable advice throughout the entirety of my job search, leaving me feeling prepared and having a clear understanding as to areas I need to work on too. Interviewing can be daunting. Working with the team at JobSpring made the experience as enjoyable as possible. I felt the team genuinely cared about me. They put effort forth in getting to know me and what I hoped to get out of the process. Once we got the process going, opportunities were presented to me for review. The team brokered initial relationships and helped me navigate the interview process with each team.In the end I received multiple offers. I am happy about the outcome, but mostly I am grateful for the treatment I received.Thank you Nolan, Jeremy, Lisette, and the others from the Front-End team

Andrea Morrison is a very thorough and precise recruiter who achieves accurate results. I was referred to her by an old colleague and was curious what roles she had available. Instead of just selling me the usual big corporate roles every recruiter has, she asked what I was looking for in my next role. With zero expectations, she brought me qualified roles that were worth my time and I interviewed with multiple companies to the point I had to make a difficult choice between 3-4 roles instead of choosing the first and only role available. I am extremely happy with how fast she was able to get me in and out of the process (in a matter of days). Thank you Andrea!

Ive been working with Ethan from Workbridge on and off for the past 11 months. He first came to me with an opportunity in November, 2017, which ultimately led to an offer. I decided to not take it as I felt it was the wrong role. Ethan was very understanding and didnt push me into a new job just to fulfill his duties. Between then and now, a number of additional opportunities and offers arose and Ethan was very patient with me from the very beginning. I dont know of any other recruiter/recruitment company whose goal is to just find that perfect position to help grow my career, regardless of how long it takes. He is very easy to talk to and extremely understanding and considerate of how Im feeling and what I have to say.

I was contacted by an associate at Jobspring Partners, and while I was hesitant at first about really needing a recruiting firm to find a position, I want having any luck on my own.Sam Brennan helped me schedule an initial phone interview with a major tech company in San Francisco, and I was able to bypass the initial HR non-technical person right away and talk directly to the hiring manager. I think this is what really made the difference because I was able to have a technical conversation with an actual technically knowledgeable person right off the bat.I think the biggest advantage to using a recruiting firm is that they have a relation with some of these tech companies and can get you in front of the right people without having to go through the typical HR nightmare that Software people sometimes have to go through.

As a relatively old-timer tech professional, I have just gone through a long and arduous job search fraught with disappointments and misplaced effort, but thanks to the people at Jobspring I ultimately I was able to adapt, overcome, and get the right job with the help of good people. I started working with them early in my search and even after some initial setbacks, they stuck with me where others didn’t. The saw something worth investing time into and ultimately it paid off for both them and myself. I felt valued and they focused their search over time to bring better opportunities and so I could better shine at interviews.I worked with several great people there, specifically Scott, Kelly, Jackie, Sam, and Morgan. They all took the time to learn what my strengths were and gave me feedback based on their own experience as well as as from hiring managers. From this I learned what attributes were the most sought after and therefore I could stick with the specific areas that were the most interesting to me. In time, this is what led me to getting an offer from the right company. I will add that while each person on the team has their own style, they all supported each other’s work and were familiar with my profile in order to help me when I needed it.I would like to give a special shout out to Scott for being so on-point helping me succeed at getting the position I really wanted. Not only was he always positive and supportive, he was extremely detail-oriented. He shared research notes with me that were like nothing I’d ever seen! To know what a company is searching for in a new hire is the most valuable knowledge you can walk into an interview with. Yes, your skills, experience, and overall professionalism is always critical, but if you don’t touch upon experiences relevant to a hiring managers specific needs they won’t see a good fit. I learned that now, more than ever, technical hiring managers tend to have an extremely specific vision as to what abilities they seek. The process of assessing candidates can be near-scientific, and if you don’t identify what they are looking for quickly, you’ll miss the chance to demonstrate how you possess those skills. There were many times before this where I felt like I missed opportunities because I learned all too late what a hiring manager was specifically looking for and during my interview I simply was off-topic and eliminated because I didn’t seem to have what they needed. To be able to have the confidence to walk in the door knowing that I had the specific attributes that they were looking for, it was just a matter of demonstrating it. It really was a team effort so having quality support can be all the difference!Huge thanks to Scott and the rest of the Jobspring Partners team!

If youre in SF, and youre looking for a job, do yourself a favor and check in with Mark and the team at Workbridge SF (cant vouch for any other Workbridge branch). Ive interacted with my fair share of recruiters and recruiting agencies at this point, and I have to say that this is by far THE most professional recruiting team that Ive ever encountered.Other recruiters often message you on Linkedin or via email with a fairly cookie cutter approach:1) Theyll contact you out of the blue with something along the lines of Hi, I have a big big big! client that youre going to either know by their name recognition or know of very very soon because of the recently closed funding round that is on the web.. please please reply and Ill actually tell you the name!. At this point this is their lure - they usually do this just to get you to say ok, whats the secret name?2) Theyll schedule a call where they would like to see the details of your resume.3) Theyll proceed to grill you on the potential fit. Usually this involves little more than pattern matching keywords from your resume to the companys job description. Company job descriptions are a joke by the way - no one ever uses ALL of the technologies on a resume. You can always tell when a recruiter is full of **** when they cant tell that youve worked with something like javascript if they ask you any javascript experience? after listing Node instead of Node.js on your resume.4) Thats it. Thats the extent of the typical recruiting relationship. After that theyll more or less send your resume into a companys inbound inbox and pray that you get a call back. Usually the company wont even interact with you through that recruiter ever again. These types of recruiters and agencies often dont have any real connections to the companies that are hiring - theyll work on commission by more or less aggregating resumes and passing them onto any company that says theres an opening, looking for a cut after someone works out. Youre typically much better off applying directly.Workbridge is very different. Workbridge actually acts as a real hiring broker - by matching candidates to a list of companies that would like help recruiting. Theyre not on the buy side or the sell side of labor market - theyre right in the middle, or maybe slightly towards the buy side since they actually have strong relationships with companies. Workbridge will ask that you come in to their physical location in downtown SF to meet with a number of different account managers to ensure they get a wholistic sense of what youre interested in. After that youll end up with roughly 10 to 20 potential matches depending on how much experience and interest you have. From there its anyones guess as to what %age of those companies would actually like to meet with you (depends on luck, timing, experience, etc.), but thats not really what this post is about. This is about ensuring that youre working with the right agency to push your resume the furthest. Workbridge was so convinced that they knew what I would want, what Id like, and that they found the right fit for me that they actually asked me for all of my references even before my actual interview with one particular company (they were right by the way). I thnk this was only possible because the Workbridge associate basically sold me to the company pretty much immediately. The connection Workbridge has with its client companies is genuine. If youre interviewing for the sake of gaining interview experience, then by all means work with as many recruiters as possible. If youre ready for a jump and you would really like to land at a dream job, then just work with Workbridge.

With so many bad recruiters and recruiting agencies out there, Workbrige San Francisco was a breath of fresh air, and Haithem is the best recruiter I have worked with bar none.Haithem went above and beyond in understanding my experiences and what I was looking for in my next role. He has a deep knowledge of product management and startup/tech trends.I was looking for senior PM roles at early stage startups, and Workbridge was able to connect me with a number of high quality, highly relevant matches that were not yet listed on AngelList and other job sites. Workbridge was very thoughtful making sure the role was a good fit on both sides and was very attentive in making sure there was always something interesting cooking.

Job Spring has gotten me not one, not two, but three jobs over the years, Every time they were able to get me more than that what I was asking for. Andrew, John, Ryan and all the other people work very hard to find me the right fit. I will never even bother with other recruiters .

Workbridge connected me to an opportunity that I previously passed on thinking that I was under-qualified. When I realized the opportunity Workbridge presented me was the same one, they were able to get me into the office for a meet and greet (that went extremely well) that led to what I call The Gauntlet Interview with the employer (4-5 hour interview).I met with workbridge and had my first interview on a Wednesday, had a final interview with their client on Friday, and received an offer (which was a 35% base increase from my current job) the following Monday.I can honestly say that Workbridge is like no other hiring firm in that I was not just a commission for them. Not to bash on firms like Milestone, Astreya, or Aerotek, but Workbridge was much more professional and easier to work with. I am a bit sad that my relationship with Workbridge lasted all but a week, but I would definitely recommend Workbridge to anyone looking to make a jump in tech. I will definitely be working with them again if/when the times comes to move on from the company they connected me with.

Its always a pleasure to work with the people at Workbridge. Ive worked with them in the past several times, and each time has been the same -- professional recruiters who are more interested in what youre looking for than what you qualify for on paper.

I have a bit of an unusual resume: Ive gone the startup cofounder route several times but lacked experience working for larger employers. Also, Im entirely self-taught with web/software dev. I tried for many months to find opportunities on my own without much success. Finally I got connected with Sam at Jobspring, and things moved very quickly from there! Within a week, I was already interviewing with several companies for cool roles and within industries I was interested in. Within a month, I was given two job offers for mid/senior level dev positions with competitive salaries. Sam also helped me find companies that would be good cultural fits, not just throwing every possible unrelated opportunity my way, but helping me filter and find something great! Id definitely recommend working with Sam again.

I had a similar experience to another reviewer. We tried them out, it didnt work out (their candidates never did well), They cold called me like 5-6 times and said they were a new recruiter or they had new management. I repeatedly told them to not call me back as politely as I could but they ignored it and kept calling. During the last call I told them to never call me back and he STILL kept trying to push a candidate on me via email. They are unprofessional and do not listen.

I sent this company an email from one of my email addresses (lets call it email #1) back in March of 2016. They called me in for an interview where we discussed what Im looking for, where Im at in my job search and what they could do to help me in my search. One of the things they told me is if I was interviewing with any other companies to let them know what company and who I was interviewing with in order to convey to other employers that I was in high demand. At the end of the interview they said they would call me when they had any opportunities they think I would be a good match for.I didnt hear anything from them in over a month. Finally, I get called in by Jacob for one interview with a company, but it turns out theyre looking for a developer whos focused in Ruby on Rails and I said in my initial interview with JobSpring that I was focused on Front End/Javascript. Needless to say the interview was a bust. However, a day after the interview, Jacob calls me to let me know I didnt get it AND to get a list of current companies Ive been interviewing for and the names of who I interviewed with. After that I didnt hear anything for about two weeks. Then I receive an email from Jacob again, this time in my secondary email address (well call it email #2) saying he found my resume (which contains my email #2) on some other job searching website, and that he knows of a company looking for a front end developer that he thinks Id be good for. Unfortunately, he never sent me an email to my email #1 (which is the one he has on file) nor did he call me about this position. I didnt give him my email #2 and as far as he knows hes just contacted someone else no already in their database. Then another few weeks go by and I receive yet ANOTHER email from Sam who posted an ad on craigslist looking for front and back end developers. Just like Jacobs email he said he knows of a company looking for a front end developer that he thinks Id be good fit and to send him an updated resume and phone number. This was sent to email #1, so obviously this guy is just casting a large net to attempt to sign up everyone who responds to his fake craigslist ad.I cant believe this company takes advantage of the unemployed and wastes everyones time with the interview process when they have no intention of ever placing you in a role. This company is a scan and theyre just using people to bulk up their database and find companies that are currently hiring in order to make a quick buck. Shameful!

They recruit me on Linkedin for a position that Ive seen open for over 4 months which was suspect in itself. I carve out an hour to meet with Mia..she gets on the phone and tells me the position is filled and it wouldnt be a good fit???Just yesterday she hounded me until I accepted a meeting with her despite really not having the time to meet. Then I say what are you talking about its a great fit for my experience. Did you read my resume? My Linkedin profile???I persist in talking about why Im not a good fit and she puts me on hold and some other (non-introduced) joker gets on the phone. We review my qualifications and he says he cannot see my GoogleDocs samples? You dont have any mobile experience I say yes I do..what are you looking at?Clearly AGE DISCRIMINATION...because the position was a perfect fit for my experience.I dont know what their deal is but they do no act above board and this is the second time they have called me and bounced me from person to person wasting my time. Im employed and I got my position with MODIS...CALL THEM FOR A POSITION..dont waste your time with them.
