Dr. Inman is incredibly an competent vet who leads a wonderful team and fosters a lovely culture within her clinics. We’ve felt so lucky to be able to bring our mischievous puppy to Castro Animal Hospital over the last year. And the best proof of how good they are is that (even through multiple surgeries) he is happy when leaves and always excited when he comes back for his next visit.
Dr Liang has seen both my dog and my cat. She is thorough and professional, and has ac wonderful bedside manner with the animals. Highly recommended
The Castro Animal Hospital is very reliable and respectful. There’s no miss understandings about my service dog’s importance in my daily life. They always take care of our needs. And they always listen and take me seriously, even when there’s nothing to worry about.
I just came here to say Dr. Liang is a saint. Ive never had such a kind and caring vet! She never makes you feel rushed during your visit, always takes time to explain and make sure you walk away with all the information you have. My dog is extremely nervous and shes always very professional and gives her plenty of space and not overwhelm her. Anyone would be lucky to have Dr. Liang as a vet!
Love this place! Friendly staff and caring veterinarians. They went above and beyond to help get my dog approved for a flight. Shout-out to Isis who awesome!!
Could not rave about Castro Animal Hospital more. The clinic is sparkling clean, has the most professional staff, and even experience has been as easy as could be. Dr. Sarah Inman is incredibly knowledgable and will spend the time answering every question you have (believe me as a first time puppy parent, I have a lot!). Dr. Inman and her team take such good care of our pup. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
Ive been taking my rescue dog, Maude to Castro Animal Hospital for the past few years and weve consistently had great experiences with the entire staff each visit. Dr. Inman is amazing with my dog. She down to earth, easy to talk with and I dont feel like she pushes unnecessary fees for my dogs health. I recently had an appointment with Dr Liang and she was also really great. She was so gentle and caring with my dog who can be very anxious. The front desk staff is always super friendly too. Love this place. So happy they will be opening a second location soon.
Lovely animal hospital with short wait times, friendly and patient veterinarians and staff, and a clean pleasant environment. I really trust my dog’s wellbeing and health with Castro Animal Hospital.
Dr Liang and the team at Castro Animal Hospital are a dream! Their wait time to get a new client appointment shows just how popular they are, for good reason and WORTH the wait! I brought a new puppy home in November and had to do her first few appointments at another Bay Area vet and we had a horrible experience every time.Coming here was exactly what we needed! A caring team who made us both feel so welcome and comfortable. A doctor who took the time to answer all of my new puppy mom questions, no matter how neurotic!Their facilities are clean and comfortable, and we never have to wait once we arrive. The covid-19 safety precautions they are taking dont seem to hinder their efficiency at all and Im thankful for the care they take to keep us and themselves safe.I cant recommend this veterinary office any better!
Have been there about 4 or 5 times and always a great experience. They are very gentle with my puppy who is a bit timid right now.
Love this vets office! Ive moved a lot so my pets have been to multiple vets. This office is always quick to respond to emails and to get us in for an appointment. Appointments run timely and efficiently, its affordable, and most importantly the vets are very knowledgeable and friendly. My senior cat was starting to show dental buildup and instead of noting it and moving on the dr told me what to watch out for at home in case it worsens and becomes a problem. She had just been to another vet within the month and they hadnt mentioned anything. Highly recommend.
Thank you to Dr. Inman for help with our old girl! Our dog Amanda is 14 years old and had a very bad cough and we were concerned With what the outcome could be. Dr. Inman was very compassionate and let us know it was probably just bronchitis so with a little bit of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication Amanda was much better within a week and a half! Thank you for taking care of our baby!
My husband and I have been taking our dog Danny here for going on 3 years and he suffers from some chronic issues and the love and care showed to him by all the staff but especially Dr. Inman has been above and beyond. I dont know that we would have Danny today if it was not for the care shown to him. We are very grateful and recommend them to anyone who wants a professional and caring vet.
My experience at Castro Animal hospital has been awful and sad. From the moment I walked in there was a sense we were a bank account for them to make the most of.My dog Gus is 9 months old and had an ear infection. The Dr. prescribed a medication that made Gus deaf and from which he hasnt recovered 2 months later. The Dr. didnt explain that this was a possible side effect or that we should watch out for it and further lied about our follow-up appt when it was my major concern, saying that we hadnt brought it up. Furthermore, Gus had a stomach bug for which he was given medication. Neither the Dr. nor the hospital explained that we need to be very careful with his stool going forward and that the stomach bug was highly transmissible back to Gus to humans.I routinely dont get responses back from staff and have to follow-up regularly. They overcharged us for a piece of paper by $175.We wont be going back, dont suggest anyone else go unless major changes are made.
I have taken my elderly pug here since they opened last year & have had a wonderful experience. The vets & staff genuinely care & have helped us get to the bottom of multiple health issues. I have had disappointing experiences at other vets so am glad to have found this place
I called today and the person who picked up the phone was extremely rude and abrupt.I asked about a very specific test and paperwork for traveling with my pet to Hawaii. I was simply asking for a cost estimate. She simply said they cannot provide an estimate and I need to schedule an appointment for a quote.
When bringing home my puppy I knew I wanted to find the best vet possible to take the best care of him. Im so glad I found Castro Animal Hospital and Dr. Inman. Every appointment has been efficient, clean and with friendly staff. Ive sent them all kinds of emails with various questions and showed up to appointments with lists of questions and theyve always been met with patience and comprehensive answers. I never feel like anything unnecessary is being pushed on me, and scheduling has always been super easy. So far for for my first dog, my experience here has been way better than expected and I definitely recommend them!
The team here have really gone out of their way to help Reilly. I am lucky to have found them.
I wouldnt recommend this location. The staff is nice but the doctors dont seem to know what theyre doing or have much experience. My poor puppy has been sick and they just keep trying random things that seem to get more and more expensive with no result.
I am so happy I found the Castro Animal Hospital. The vets are highly qualified and experienced and the office is clean and well run. Dr. Inman explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions. My cat received excellent attention and care during our annual exam and vaccine updates. The pricing was on par for the local market. I’ve interacted now with several of the staff. They have a good team at Castro Animal Hospital. We will be returning to Castro Animal Hospital for all of our pet’s health and medical needs.
Were so happy to have found The Castro Animal Hospital. We moved to SF with our dog in 2018 and needed a vet soon after. Since then, our dog has needed two surgeries and weve had excellent experiences here both times. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a vet.
I can not adequately describe how happy I am to have found Castro Animal Hospital. After having consistently poor experiences over the last year with other nearby vets, I brought my two toy poodles in for a teeth cleaning consultation, followed by the actual teeth cleaning and extraction appointment. Every interaction I’ve had with the vet here and her staff has been extremely professional, fairly priced (including free first visits), run on time, and I’ve never felt rushed and always had ample time to discuss with the doctor. She even adjusted my dogs’ after care based on a previous experience we had getting teeth extracted, which resulted in an adverse response to meds.I am more than satisfied with my experiences and highly recommend to anyone else!
I recently brought Stevie, my little Chihuahua to the team at Castro Animal Hospital. I saw Dr Tais and had an excellent visit. She was thorough with his history given some of the chronic issues he has. I wasnt rushed and I had brought a list of questions (literally) but she took her time to work through each and every one of them. I was blown away by the team at how much care they showed for Stevie and myself (being an anxious parent and the stomach issues he has had). The clinic is also new and incredibly clean which is a plus given some of the other clinics I have been to in San Francisco. We have found our new vet! Big fans and will be telling everyone!
A lot to be said about Dr Inman. Her quality of care is excellent ... she is genuine and will spend the time to understand your needs in combination with the animals needs. She has looked after our cat for the last 3 years and we will definitely make the transition over with her. I stopped in to look at the new clinic and it is gorgeous inside... well done to you and your team. Easily the cleanest and the newest equipment I have ever seen in a vets office.
My 10 year old Westie Bailey has been going to Castro Animal Hospital for the last year and is very happy. The vets and all the personnel are very caring and technically excellent. Dr. Inman solved Baileys chronic paw licking, which no other vet had been able to do. Were fans!
I brought my little on here following some confusing instructions from a specialist and I have to say they completely impressed me. This place is amazing. The doctors are knowledgeable and are really friendly! I couldnt be happy with our new vet.We struggled to find a vet we thought was a good fit for our guy as he has been going through cancer BUT the compassion and strong communication from the team at the castro animal hospital made all the difference.
I have brought my two senior dogs to Castro Animal Hospital multiple times & had a wonderful experience every time. The facility is a far cry from the typical old, bleak vet clinics I have seen elsewhere in the city & the staff are professional & polite. Most of all the two veterinarians I have seen, Dr. Tais & Dr. Liang, were lovely! They were both able to clearly explain the different options I had with regard to treatment & testing and the pros & cons of different tests. I felt involved in each step of determining what was wrong with my dog & am happy to report that she is doing very well on the medication I was sent home with. Overall a great experience, I will definitely be back for the ongoing care of my pups!
We just moved from New York. The place is so cute and clean. Thank you for being very friendly and welcoming. Sara for answering all my questions and concerns over the phone. Thank you Dr. Inman for dealing with me as a parent to my fur baby.
The Castro Animal Hospital is like no other veterinary clinic I’ve ever experienced. The facility is clean, modern and calming. The staff are friendly and show genuine love and care for their patients. I feel at ease knowing Dr Sarah Inman is taking extra special care of my dog!
My frenchie was not eating and dehydrated. I took him here and Dr. Burns was the doctor we saw. He was really nice and thorough and I didnt feel like he was trying to get us to pay for additional services we didnt need. He gave us some meds. The bill was more than reasonable and my girl has made a full recovery.
Great place, really clean and tidy. The vets and the staff are super friendly, patient and professional. Prices are great! Our puppy Juba likes you!
The best service I have ever experienced.I came here when I got my puppy because it was easy. Since then my laziness has resulted in a partnership that has exceeded all expectations. When my pup had a neuter session over the holidays I was very scared of some post surgery concerns. Even when they were closed dr inman reached out to give some advice and help create a plan to make sure my pup could be successful. She goes above and beyond. I wish I could go higher then 5 stars.
Great practice with friendly staff. It was great to feel like I wasnt in a rush. I brought imy lil guy in for a chronic illness re his kidneys and some issues with his skin. The skin issue has gone on and on, and TWO other vets werent helpful. I had a free consult with Dr Inman and she put him on some medication and its finally resolved. Plus she seems very informed on chronic kidney issues and ongoing maintenance. HOpefully we arent back soon but glad to know they are in the neighborhood.
Recently came in as my cat had a bit of blockage, it turns out it was really serious and Dr Inman go to the bottom of it and fixed Tiger. SHe took the time to explain it to me and the diet we had to use going forward. We are so thankful for this place!
Had such a wonderful experience here!! The hospital itself is clean, welcoming, and beautiful. Dr. Inman and her team are incredibly sweet, and they helped my dog with care and kindness! I’m thrilled that this hospital opened in the Castro, and I’ll definitely continue coming here.
Ive been around the block a few times looking for vets that were just right for my kitty cat after years at the Nob Hill clinic I finally decided to switch to a new place after they had continuously been unprofessional, snooty and cold. Thats when I found the Castro Animal Hospital! Their office is beautiful, clean and nicely decorated (thanks Ikea). The staff are attentive and kind and the vet I had Tais Perpetuo was just the sweetest, you could tell she really cared about my cat and made sure to talk about past history and any other important needs before even beginning the exam. She also sprayed pheromones on herself so the cat would be more comfortable (mind blowing)! Kenny at the front desk was also so patient and knowledgable. Overall this place put me at ease that we were going to be well taken care of.Highly recommend this place.Plus the first visit is free!
I had to put ONE star in order to POST at all, but if given the opportunity i would have rated Zero or - 5. This place doesnt deserve another minute of my time or attention. However, I am directing this to the owner who replied to my posting, believing that I had the wrong clinic and possibly mis-reviewed them. Nope. Castro Animal Clinic is the correct facility. I did not mistake you for another place. I have been to plenty of pet clinics and have never had the misfortune (thank god) to experience the disgusting, demanding disrespectful DVM like I did last week. This place misses the concept of respect, they dont get it. Today and a a year ago is like night and day, it is truly a shame. I had such a good feeling about them and I went and all was shattered. They left us in the waiting room with their telephone speakers forever, and I hope they heard everything we discussed. No one, except the tech, showed any concern. DVM gave inadequate diagnosis, and preyed directly on the vulnerability and concern of those whose family are their pets. Straight to the bank and after transparently assessing her clients, tossed out a slew of unnecessary treatments of which she was unable to back any of them up. She was unable or would not elaborate for the results we should expect from the tests she insisted on. Rude, demanding and then never returned to close up like she said she would, most likely because it wasnt worth her useless time. They have to be on commission because they certainly dont work on or for compassion. We turned down the ridiculous $800.00 test, pricing not included for any X-ray, visit, meds, and all the other expenses, due at that moment. I left after paying 260. that I feel I should be reimbursed for. I asked for a nail trim, nope. They DID NOTHING. prescribe her some gabapentine and B12 - - disgusting. She could not even tell me what the test would tell us, they had no records from my first visit, or so she said. An X-ray consideration might have given her some credibility for the welfare of my feline but never mentioned. If you bother with these theives and are told you will be seeing Tais Perpertuo DVM, cancel, or spend the money but get a second opinion ELSEWHERE. I am still sick to my stomach over this. To understate my feelings for this ridiculous over priced, poorly informed, horrific experience I feel robbed and ridiculed and so should anyone who steps foot in that clinic of predators. STAY AWAY. That location has been a revolving door of establishments for as long as I can remember, none ever lasting too long. My only hope is that this is one of the the shorter lived establishments. If they keep up the Bull*&^t that I experienced, they should be 86d in no more than a year for our animals sake. BTW, I was client Ms. Owner. Last name Hart.
Sarah provides great assistance and help with our Golden Retriever, Bear. Bear loves visiting Sarah. She is kind, knowledgeable and has the pets best interest at heart. I highly recommend Sarah and the whole Castro Animal Hospital team.
Dr. Inman was described as a gifted veterinarian (and surgeon in particular) by the Chief Veterinarian at Austin Animal Center, the largest no-kill, open-intake shelter in the country. As the former Deputy Chief of Austin Animal Services and Vice President of Emancipet, a national non-profit veterinary clinic, I have worked alongside more than 30 different veterinarians, and she is among the very best. I wish that I lived in San Francisco so that she could take care of my pets.
Dr. Inman was lovely and very helpful with our one year checkup for our kitty and we will definitely be back! Clean, nicely decorated and friendly staff.
STAY AWAYSTAY AWAYSTAY AWAA year ago I chose this clinic based on the phenomenal experience a friend had. And a bonus first free check up. Well, 8 months later I returned. I was looking forward to having the same thorough experience I first had, looking forward to the thoughtful animal caring crew that succeeded many other animal care facilities I have encountered thru the 16 years of my healthy bestfriend feline life and this place revealed a DISGUSTING unloving environment. Floored. This visit didnt even constitute 1 STAR. They had no recorded weight although that was very significant considering her battle with cancer, deleted. Her entire updated chart was shotty and improved. The service was horrific, the vet was insincere unknowlegeable a predator at full capacity. RUDE, she would interrupt me when asked of my concerns. When she noticed that I had gone white to pale from her insults and quiet to avoid tears she pushed further snd further of manadotory testing that began with a guestimate of $785 not including the visit fee,and other meds and whatever er else she planned on adding. Could not tell me enough how horrible my pet looked dismissing her as if she was nothing. Zero concern.DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE. THE FIRST MONTH OR TWO THEY WERE GREAT. NOW THEY ARE DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING. ITS EVEN A SHAME THEIR LOGO IS CREATIVE AND BEAUTIFUL TOO BAD THEIR ETHICS AND INTEGRITY DONT MATCH. LOVE IS IN THE BILLS AMD PREYING ON PEOPLES LOVED ONES. THEY ARE DISGUSTING. IM LOOKING INTO HOW I REPORT THEM AND HOPEFULLLY THEY WONT LAST LONG. Please do not go to this place where they will keep your pet sick for job security. BOOO. BOOOO YOUR AWFUL NO STARS DESERVED AT ALL. BOOOOOO.
Quite simply the best vet in San Francisco. Dr Inman and her team run an amazing practice with genuine care and unrivalled expertise. Our golden retriever Wilson has seen Dr Inman a number of times and he absolutely loves her. Highly recommended!
Dr Inman has been so helpful with my aging cat and working through the right medicines to keep him happy. I am so thankful to have such a great vet in the city.
Dr. Inman is an absolute gem to work with and I couldn’t imagine taking my fur baby to another place! Highly recommend her and the new practice.
Dr. Inman has been an answer to prayer. I moved from a small town to San Francisco and was worried about my dog adjusting to the big city life. Combating this worry with ease, Dr. Inman provided (and still does) the most intimate and thoughtful care to my dog, Max. Its as if he still lives on a farm! Dr. Inman not only possess the rare combination of kindness and brilliance, but shes also a hoot to be around. If youre looking for an A+ experience for your favorite furry friend, this is EXACTLY where you should go. Im eternally grateful for her remarkable work and help with Max.
Dr Inman is a truly one of kind! Her care and attention to detail is unparalleled; the whole practice truly goes above and beyond to provide the best care possible.
Staff was nice but the vet seemed As if she was phoning it in.
I brought my kitty there w scabs all over her I believe it was Maliary sickness. She took two looks at her an all she said was your cat has fleas. And tried to sell me flea control. Then she took my cat out of the room and supposedly gave her a shot to help w the itching but I never saw the shot and my cat just got worse. She didn’t treat her fir anything she didn’t even give her a shot. She’s just out to make $$$ off everyone she doesn’t care about your pet at all she just wants to make your bill well over 300.00 per visit. I do NOT RECCOMEND TAKING YOUR PET THERE EVER!!!!!!!!!
I cannot stress how amazing Dr. Inman and her staff are at CAH. We have two frenchies and have been seeing Dr. Inman for about 2 years now and when we heard she was opening her own practice in the Castro it was a no-brainer to transition our pups there. From the minute you walk in her staff is warm and helpful. The exam rooms are bright, clean, and comfortable. We needed to move an appointment up from the afternoon to the morning at the very last minute because of an escalation in our pups health and they were able to squeeze us in with no trouble, even though she had a full schedule. As I said before, we have 2 frenchies who are always getting up to something. From foxtails, to back injuries, to GI bugs, Dr. Inman has always given the best care and happily answers all questions with patience and words the lay-person can understand.Youre in expert hands. Go there already.
Dr. Inman is a great vet and the interior is very cute and tidy.
We are thrilled to hear that Dr. Inman now has her own practice. She takes such an interest in each animal.
Highly Professional and kind
The exam rooms have cat walls!
