We didnt have a long wait and they took care of what I really needed in a very efficient manner.
I was granted a share of stock as a gift years ago, and somehow ComputerShare is managing the account. In order to sell what I got from that single share, they want to charge me $128.62 in a variety of different fees. I know trading fees can be high, but this is utterly absurd. Oh, and they refuse to track cost basis for it. Really not sure what Im paying all those absurd fees for.
I am not able to get information on my account. I have tried now for several months.
Super unhelpful staff
Couldnt agree more with all the one star reviews. This company is the worst to deal with. I live in San Francisco so Im going to try to physically visit them.
There is nothing computerized about computer share. They just send you a mountain of paper for things you really dont need to know about. In my case they are indicating the TIN is wrong for a 401k trust, but ok for a business, even though the TIN is the same. Additionally they refuse to send statements on one of the three bonds I wrote even though it has been over six months. And they refuse to issue one of the 3 bonds in certificate only form and I have no idea way. This place should be avoided at all cost. They use Bank America as their transfer agent, and Bank America is in trouble with FDIC for not paying their premiums which is why i asked for certificate only form. My point is that Computer Share is very untrustworthy.
We have been trying and trying and trying to get our retirement funds from them. MONTHS! terrible awful stinky.
