Applicants, please be aware. I had a really bad experience with Tom, the owner of this business. We went through a very long process where all my references checked perfectly. I was technically hired to replace his bookkeeper and to assist him with the business overall. After three weeks of personal meetings, conference calls with his CPA and back and forth communication, he decided that I should wait a month or two to start the job, a part-time position after all. He refused to sign my contract and presented his instead which I fell inclined to sign to show good faith and my willingness to work with him. He also refused to honor a retainer or deposit despite the fact that he usually asks for one himself when providing hs own services. Despite not being technologically savvy, Tom refused to understand that he needed to replace his obsolete computer in order for me to do my job properly.Tom needs to be in total control and he will not budge nor compromise. I put on hold other offers for him and bent over backward for him. If he is a good contractor, I don’t know that he is most definitely NOT a good employer. He isn’t fair nor conscientious and he certainly doesnt’ have any respect for other people’s time. Tom has no integrity and cannot commit. I am glad I was able to see the truth sooner rather than later.
