I was looking to reduce the amount of my auto coverage with AAA. Truth, State Farm could not beat my price. However, the personal attention, unbiased advice and customer service I experienced working with Ed Hidalgo made the competitive quote a no brainer. Although I ended up paying slightly more with State Farm, I knew from past experience it was worth it to have someone like Ed on my side. About a year later, this proved to be true when someone stole my car totaling not only it but, also a second car and damaging a third vehicle as well. I was so overwhelmed by the situation which left me and my children with no means of transportation when we woke up in the morning. I didnt even try calling the claims number on my policy - I just called Ed Hidalgo. Honestly, he took care of everything - he even set up my rental car and gave me step-by-step instructions of what to do next. He then went to the extent of contacting the claims department and having the call me so that all I had to do was answer the phone and give them my report. I cant say enough good things - I was satisfied with the reimbursement I was given for my totaled car but I was even more grateful to have Ed Hidalgo as my representative.

Although my review is based on an interaction with Mr. Hidalgo many years ago, this moment will forever be my most memorable insurance story.As a New Yorker visiting family in the Bay Area, I took a day trip to do some good ol SF shopping – being a recent college grad at the time, I decided to buy into the hype and reward myself with my first iPhone purchase.Later that day after meandering around to see my favorite sneaker and streetwear boutiques (RIP Huf, Mishka, Purist, etc.), I popped into this State Farm location and asked a friendly-looking fellow for directions to the nearest Philz Coffee Shop. I thanked him and as I turned around, he asked if I had insurance on my newly purchased phone. Bewildered, I looked back and asked him, Huh? You mean... I can have insurance... on a phone?Mr. Hidalgo smiled and patiently took the time to present me with State Farms mobile device coverage policies, fielding all my ignorant questions about how insurance works, what each policy would cover, and whether or not it mattered that I lived in New York. Less than 10 minutes later I took up Mr. Hidalgo on an offer – spending a couple bucks a month to insure one of my biggest young adult purchases seemed like a no-brainer.Fast forward to 11 months later. At my friends Lakehouse birthday getaway, my phone tragically falls to the bottom of a lake like a sunken battleship (anyone whos ever broken or lost their phone knows the gut-wrenching feeling). After a group search effort came up unfruitful, I called Mr. Hidalgos office in panic and inquired about my policy – he graciously connected me with a claims agent, and amazingly my payout came within a week.They say State Farm agents act like good neighbors, but from my experience they act more like awesome family members.
