Been going here on and off for a few years. Bobby Ritchie is awesome, very friendly, and always makes my hair looks like a million bucks. If you need a haircut, hes your guy.
I had Jaimie do my hair. She did a rose gold balayage, she cut and styled my hair. Mind you, this was the first time i have ever picked such a bright color for myself. I have always stuck to darker colors cuz my hair ris pretty dark and was afraid i would hate it if i got a light color. But omg! I was so wrong! I love it!
For curly cuts, see Marina! I just had my wavy/curly hair cut and highlighted by Marina and Im so glad I did. She really takes her time and makes sure you understand what shes doing. I always learn something new about styling my hair from her.The salon is open and friendly. Parking is street, so remember to bring a little extra for that. I had no trouble finding a spot.
Bobby was nice, but he’s definitely not great when it comes to short male haircuts.I asked for straight, square-ish sides (fade) and even showed a photo, but received a perfume bottle, upside down wine glass shaped sides....Maybe alright for a $9 haircut, but it absolutely does not worth $45+.⏰ Oh and it took over 1.5 hours for a short fade comb over male haircut... C’mon, most places get it done within 30-45 min for half the price! ))
I flew in to San Diego for a conference and was having a bad-BAD hair week. So I googled Salons near our hotel and was able to score an appointment for the same afternoon... which is a good thing but also nerve racking as good salons rarely have immediate openings. Anyway... I entered the salon a bit hesitant as I was wanting to make sure that I would not get a botched hair experience as the one Ellen D got last weekend😬.I was met by the most gracious front desk staff who immediately took hold of my uncertainty-offering me beverages and a cool space to relax and wait in.My stylist -Susad or Sue was prompt and unbelievably warm as she took the reigns over from her support team and began that important discussion of what did I want done. After a bit of confusing conversation on my part (I want this hair cut -what do you think? Or- I like this hair style -what do you think?) Sue took me back to wash my hair. OMG if you go for no other reason... go for the hair wash and the relaxing brilliant scalp massage.Anyway... turns out- Sue was able to cut through (pun intended) all my “potential” hair style photos and i ended up with what is quite possibly the cutest hair cut I have ever had... bar none!I left the salon with a actual bounce in my step and a grin from ear to ear.My experience was so good that I am now taking my morning to write this review for anyone looking for a great experience.
Marina is the best (curly hair specialist) ! I learned so much from her. My hair is super frizzy and she gave me many tips on how to control it. She also gave me a super cute haircut.
Marcus makes you look and feel like a million bucks! What an artist, designer (have you bought a shirt of his? My 20 yo sons love these shirts, and my husband married me in one!), good listener, and friend. I am so glad I found him through a friend (who has killer hair😄) last Xmas!
