Deceptive business practice. STRONGLY RECOMMEND against using U-Haul, this is how much they value your patronage or how much they keep their promises with you, as the email that confirmed my reservation noted.I made a reservation a month in advance for a Vanbody storage unit to hold everything my family owns after moving in from out of state. I dropped by the day our reservation started to make sure everything was ready to go for our anticipated delivery the next day. I was told that our reservation would not be honored, as per their corporate policy, it had been allowed to be rented out to somebody else AFTER we made the reservation.The staff were friendly and apologetic about the corporations unethical and probably illegal business practice (note the settled class action lawsuit in the state of CA from about a decade ago), however they were unable to offer a similar volume storage unit ANYWHERE in the county.My familys belongings are now sitting in a truck in a parking lot, and I was offered no compensation in terms of assistance booking with a different company, company credit to rent equipment to try and un-f*** the situation they created, or even a cash compensation.Of note, they never ONCE contacted us to let us know they had given away our reservation. They even remarked that normally they try to call the day before if this is going to happen (clearly its a frequent business practice), but in this case they forgot about us. If I had not gone by the day our reservation started to confirm everything was good to go, an entire moving truck would have shown up the next day with nowhere to unload our belongings.Of course we would not have even bothered booking this reservation if we had known they had no intent of honoring it. I strongly recommend you pass on any U-Haul service.
They changed my reservation time without letting me know (it was the 24/7 type of reservation where you are supposed to be able to get your truck using only your phone). By changing the reservation time and not telling me, I ended up being considered late and thus my entire reservation was canceled. I wasted an hour on the phone without any help. Terrible company. Terrible business practices. Please never give them any money.
I paid for Dolly, but when I arrived home, there were nothing . I was mad because I had to head to LA, but I had no choice but to carry all one by one. Not going to recommend to all of my international friends. It is very very hard to talk with customers service. Just dont use u-haul. Very bad service. They dont check their customers purchase item list. Ill try to let others know as much as I could thank you so much for wonderful day!
Was not allowed to rent a hand dolly since I did not have two phones numbers which they need to call and verify. Keep in mind they have my 1 phone number, credit card, email address. Dont use uhaul if you value your time.

My unit was not alarmed for months. The door was always reading open. I told management about the problem multiple times and was basically blown off. Even after a break in attempt it was not fixed. Definitely not thrilled with the security of the place. There are all of these cameras around and they didnt catch the attempted break in. It was an inside unit.
Johnathan has helped me numerous times over the past week and had been very patient with me. I’ve called in and visited the store to change my lease or having general questions, and he has been superb. Actually, Every person at this facility has been awesome! This other guy Randy(?) or something who helped me when I returned my 26’ Uhaul— he was happy and competent as well. I love renting from this place!
Im not happy. Can this place do anything right? I signed up for 24/7 share. I went to pick up my truck at 10 PM and couldnt. Had to go back at 7 am. Was told by the help center that they forgot to set it up for me. Okay? So they gave me a $50 VIP credit. Im thinking to myself they might redeem themselves. Nope. I go to drop my truck off and the 24/7 share function doesnt work again, so the 15 minutes I took to upload the pictures they asked for was a waste. I applied my coupon but that didnt work either. Im thinking that theyll see Im VIP and charge me correctly in the morning. Boy was I wrong. Not only did they not apply my $50 but they marked me as returning the truck with less gas than I received it and charged me extra for that. I actually put extra gas in the truck which I have pictures to prove. I tried to call this morning and was greeted with a 20+ min waiting time on the phone. Decided to try the website chat. Sat there for 10 minutes and no one came into the chat. Waste of time and energy. Not renting from uhaul again. And Im going to the store in a few hours to tell them how I feel in person. When people are renting trucks to move, they are relying on you during one of the most stressful times in their lives. Why cant you actually be helpful?

Bad App-based inspection system-cantMovers through Uhaul didnt show up two days in a row(no show saturday no show sunday).Rude employees like Joshua I dont know if i can work magic when asked for a refund. Great manager who fixed it. See screenshots.
Great experience. Fast and convenient. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Made sure I was in a room with enough room for everything. I definitely say if you need storage in San Diego come here.
Okay. These guys are pretty reasonable. They will tell you in advance of they have the truck you want. DONT TRUST THE WEBSITE!Other than the occasional truck that doesnt have gas in it. These guys are pretty much on point.
I have done business with this location and with U-Haul MANY times before. I use their App and they have my information all in their systems. Yet when I went to pick up the Van, they have a new policy that they need to CALL someone else. When they tried to call my wife, NoMoRobo was blocking their robo-dialer!!!!! So, they said there was NO WAY THEY COULD HELP ME unless I had my PASSPORT with me. I asked Why didnt your App TELL me to bring my G--D---- passport!! I am going to demand that U-Haul removes ALL of my personal information from their databases!
Pretty good experience hiring a truck form here for our move (within Sand Diego) - will come back in future when I have to rent a truck again
Please know that if you don’t have have 2 phone numbers they will not rent you a truck and will let you know at the last minute when you really really need it.Just be careful and reserve another place.They make you login thru there website which is ok if there is Reception, but this is a dad spot so I had to walk around for 20 minuets and look for signal that I couldn’t find, only after it failed they agreed to helpI am adding after a week that they over charge me $30.I’m never renting from this location, and do not recommend this branch to anyone, I just rented a track for 8 hours, and had to deal with it for a week, and been over charge whit bad attitude.

They lied to me about pricing over the phone. When I arrived they wanted triple what they told me and were very rude about it. The refused to use the voice call as evidence to their quote so they could screw me. I will NEVER be wasting my time with them again. It’s sad to see business tying to take advantage of people that are in a pinch. Extremely unethical.
I went there on a Sunday and took me an hour and 20 min just to reserve a truck. Elijah was the guy helping us.. He was too slow I would expect they would have more than 1 person at the cashier on weekends because most pple move on weekends.

Very professional. They knew I was coming and walked out to greet me at the truck. I would definitely use them over budget, who didnt even have trucks available. Then to top it off, uhaul matched the budget truck price.
David and his crew is the best. The best customer services out of all the uhaul store. Crystal is very friendly as well.
Went above and beyond to help us get our car off the trailer that the other uhaul (Arizona) screwed up on and put on incorrectly. exceptional service and would recommend this location over any other around.

I called for my daughter whos moving in to an apartment near U. C. San Diego. A woman picked up the phone and would not permit me to ask simple questions like what kind of truck or cargo vans are available. She started to ask my information and asked for my credit card information. I havent even told her when or what kind of truck or van Ill be using . She immediately got annoyed when I stopped her from keep on talking and started to ask MY questions. She just didnt seem like she wanted to help me at all!I hung up and called the another U-Haul few miles away and booked a truck within 5 minutes.
I used Uhaul recently for a one way drive from San Diego to Texas, and I got a 10 ft truck and a two wheel dolly to attach car on for transportation. On the way to texas, the U-haul dollys left tire burst in the middle of nowhere. I contract Uhaul emergency support and they told me to leave the tow dolly on the road and go ahead and drive back to Texas with both vehicles, and that I would be compensated by Uhaul for my troubles. Needless to say, when it comes to customer service, this uhaul store is horrendous. I have been waiting 3 weeks now for a partial refund on the tow dolly (which I should be entitled to a full refund for a breach of contract on multiple accounts but I have been trying to be nice to expedite my refund) and the manager refuses to answer my calls or return my calls or in any way resolve this issue. I have used Penske in the past and their equipment has never broken down on me. BEWARE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS BRANCH!!!!

Uhaul call centre gave me a wrong information that at this location they install hitches to the car. Turned out to be wrong when I went there.
