Very nice people that work here. Only if all government employees could learn from them. Its a very personal relationship and they are non judgemental and care about each person no matter what background you come from. Thank you guys but yall have cut my food stamps left me with nothing for last 3 months seems like there is a new paper to read or sign every month. I am so sick of being hungry tho. Stop it messing with my benefits tho..

Im now 26 weeks pregnant & have been trying to get covered since I found out at 4 weeks. Theyve been nothing but difficult, asking for information Ive given them multiple times then DENYING me because they needed my boyfriends income (which I gave them on multiple occasions) now Im at a loss for what to do, Ive had no prenatal care & Im a high risk pregnancy. Thanks for making my life difficult & wasting my time for 6 months only to deny me due to information that I gave MUILTIPLE TIMES.
Very nice employees! They were all very nice, polite, and helpful right from the entrance, the guard, the receptionist, the intake eligibility workers, and the phone call interview. Best experience I ever had in a HHSA organization. Thank you so much for your kidness!!!!!
I have sat and watched as employees act like they are better than the people. Ive seen some lie about customers and use their position to be seen as the victims when, the people that come here need help. Things need to be accounted for since employees leave in the middle of customers needing help and act like their customers arent humans since, they are needing help they are lower than them. There should be a more strict way of employees dealing with customers, helping people, and knowing that everyone is human and shouldnt act like no one is better than the other.
I was helped immediately and with kindness and helpfulness. Parking is the only negative. Very few spots. Can park on the street.

Ive been to the offices in Chula Vista and it always has a lot of people and last month I moved yo Hemet to be able to stay at my aunts house temporarily. Im homeless and now 24 weeks pregnant. I had just found out that I can already apply for Calworks. I had thought that I couldnt until after the babys birthday. Thats why I had only applied for medical and food stamps in San Diego. I didnt realize that Hemet is Riverside county so towards the last week and a half of April when I got to my aunts, April 24th O had her take me to the welfare offices in Hemet. Of course its was packed with people, but the offices up in Hemet need to invest in some major air fresheners. Get some plug inside or something A.S.A.P ! I have never been in county offices that smelled so bad.Ive since all that had to move back down to San Diego county, even though it means being homeless until I get everything in order and let me say that the offices at 5055 Ruffin road are by far the most pleasant all the way around. The workers were on it, it wasnt over crowded, and no foul oder. Very much appreciated. ☺

I have now been to this office 3 times. The first time was alittle over a year ago and I was treated kindly and was taken care of that day.the second time was about a month ago, and I was given a phone interview for 3 days later instead of immediate service but was still promised my aid within 2 days. However they failed to call me. I tried to reach them multiple times but was not given a call back. Instead 2 weeks after my visit I went back to the office (a difficult task for me as money and time is a huge issue at the moment) only to wait for a chance tobe told that a new phone interview had already been scheduled for 10 days from then. I Asked if an immediate interview was availble since I would only take a few minutes for what it is I am asking for and they said no. I asked for a sooner phone interview since my benefits were now nearly 2 weeks late and they said no. So I waited, and on the day of my phone interview again did not recieve a call. Again I tried reaching them but did not receive a response. I started calling other numbers unrelated to my issue just so Icould talk to someone and finally found out that despite me telling the person I spoke with in the office TWICE that my old number was no longer in service AND giving them my new number, they failed to document this and have been treating me like its my fault for missing the interviews. Now I still have not been able to get a hold of anyone and its a month later, meaning my application is denied and I have to go back to the office yet again and forfeit the benefits I was promised a month ago.This is truly a series of unfortunate events and I am extremely frustrated. I understand this aid isnt something I should expect, but when you tell me to my face I will receive it, and I now spend my days searching for food instead of work.......I could have been back on my feet by now. I would be welcome in myfriends homes right now if I didnt have to beg them for food. I was robbed before applying, lost my apartment, have no money and no where to go and this little bit of hope has turned into a month long chore with no benefit.The moral of my story is to make sure you dont mess with your scheduling with these guys. They will ignore you, and leave you to rot....even though it wasnt my fault
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE. Go to other aid office if you can. Asian woman with blond hair named Dawn was TERRIBLE please fire or retrain her to act professional. Also she seem a bit racist.
