Very friendly repairman. He fixed the cords and wires of my antique sewing machine, and taught me also how to reconnect the machine back into the sewing cabinet. He also gave me part numbers so I can replace parts on my own and research on my own. His prices were also VERY reasonable. Id definitely go back to him for my machines routine checkup and future repairs.

Derek tuned up my Elna. The machine runs quieter now, is super clean, and he even replaced the light bulb. Very happy with the service.

I called around a few places before coming here. I had been gifted an old singer sewing machine that needed to be cleaned up and a few things fixed if I wanted it to be functional. I wasnt sure if I wanted it to use or just display it, but for $50 he would check it out and clean it.His shop isnt a shop, instead I believe he works out of his apartment in the Pacifica apartment complex. After talking to him in person, you can tell hes incredibly knowledgeable about antique sewing machines! As for mine, he did say he would have to order a few parts that were missing if I wanted to make it functional. He was going to look into seeing if he could find them and then let me know how much that would be. I never was told the individual prices for those, but the overall total ended up reasonable... I was a little miffed that he didnt tell me the end cost before actually doing the work first though. I had made it clear when dropping it off that if the cost to repair was too high, i was only going to stick with the cleaning. He had the machine for a week when I had to call asking for an update on what the final cost *could* be and if he found the parts. He said he thought he had found some parts that could work and was waiting for them to come in. Less than 1 full day later he called saying the machine repair was done and ready to be picked up...? :/ Kinda miffed that the work was finished without a discussion of final cost but its sort of too late when its already done, right? The machine looks great and the cost was still better than any of the other places available.

Fixed my vintage machine in a very reasonable time and did better than previous services Ive had on it. Very pleased with the repair and the price, I will definitely keep coming back!I was told by a brick and mortar store that I would never get anything more than a straight stitch out of my machine, and that any technician who was willing to fix it would charge me an arm and leg. Well turns out that isnt true, because Derek was able to get my machine fully functional for half the price of what the other store charged for a basic service. Cant say enough how pleased I am with his work.

Derek is amazing. He put a new cord, belt and bobbin winder tire on my machine. It was ready in 4 days (he quoted a week)! He was professional and to the point. He didnt insult my old machine like a previous brick and mortor establishment did, and he didnt act like it was unfixable either. Im so happy he got my machine working in tip top shape. Im a novice, but super excited to start honing my sewing skills on my newly aquired Singer 99 from 1923! Thank you Derek!

My machine runs like it’s brand new again!!I will definitely be taking all of my machines to him next scheduled repair time! He’s gained my business for life!
