Being from NYC, an area with a significant independent, non-profit, investigative news history, I really wanted to love what these guys were about... I really wanted honest, unbiased, investigative reporting. Alas, after 6 plus months of consumption, this is nothing more than an agenda-driven weekly at a very lefty, very small, liberal arts college. No balance. Clear bias. Tired. And to be honest, lazy. - No thanks.

Sigh. Yet another Leftist ‘news’ organization posing as journalism. Can the uniformity of their political views (from the top down) be more blatantly obvious? - rhetorical.

I was listening to Andrew K. (of the Voice of San Diego) talking with Ted Garcia on KOGO AM 600 this morning about a proposed vote to take place in San Diego and how the mayor may affect it and such. My point here is that for approximately the past seven years roughly, nearly all supposedly educated young people these days seemingly cannot begin speaking a sentence in the English language without using that crutch word So at the (beginning) of nearly every sentence they utter. If those who practice this only knew how (uneducated that comes across) to the listener all of the time. It would be very much appreciated if this idiotic, (Silicone Valley oriented practice) were used as an example of how NOT to begin sentences with from now on in our (so-called) learning institutions. It makes the speaker come across as uncertain in that they cannot communicate verbally without using that word at the forefront of each sentence. In other words, its getting mighty old and sickening to have to keep hearing it all the time. If you are going to be in the business of being communicators please learn HOW to use our language in a manner that does not rely constantly on (crutch) words. Practice speaking WITHOUT using the word So as the first word out of your mouths all the time. That would truly be refreshing to say the very least. Thank you.
