My son has been a patient here for over 10 years. He’s coming to an end with pediatrics and is phasing into adult treatment. I feel now is a good time to share our positive experience with the high quality of care we’ve received! These doctors (especially Dr. Liu) are truly dedicated to the well being of their patients. They are conservative and responsible with medications, always erring on the side of caution. They attentively listen to parents concerns and fears, offering advise beyond just medication. Throughout the years Dr Liu has been consistent, kind, and supportive to our entire family! I cannot imagine going through this journey without her help and advice! I’ve looked forward to every visit knowing she will help and always has my son’s best interests at heart. If your family needs a dedicated physical who will help guide you through developmental behavioral issues you are in the best hands! They may be busy helping many kids, but be patient... you will always receive that same kindness and patience from them!

Had a referral for my daughter placed here and ever since I have been calling and leaving messages stating theyll call back in 48 hours. Its been a month now and still no call back. My husband and I both serve active duty and our child needs this appointment so she can qualify for the additional care she needs. We do not have the time to waste trying to reach out and getting no where. As someone who also serves in a medical setting, I know this is beyond unprofessional. Currently trying to switch elsewhere.

I love Rady’s but this place was not what I was told. The child’s pediatrician told me to bring her there in case of emergency or to get an appointment quickly but we waited weeks until we got a video visit.

I have gone to this clinic with my son for 4 years. His doctor was amazing. Besides that, forget it. Dont waste your time trying to call the office THEY NEVER ANSWER the phone and I mean NEVER. As many times as Ive been there and witnessed the front desk girl doing absolutely nothing, makes it even more questionable why they never answer. They dont call you back either. Good luck leaving a message. I dont even understand why they have a phone at all, they might as well not. I switched my insurance to KAISER and so happy I did. Not only can we continue with another amazing doctor but THEY RESPOND. You can always get through. Its funny, Im not with them anymore but I had to call because they processed my sons visit out of network 3 times. Now I have a collection agency calling me. I went through my insurance and found out what they did... Guess who I cant get a hold of now? Ive even called the billing department that they have listed on their site and they say they dont have ties to them. WTF??? ANSWER YOUR PHONES... Ive been telling them for years. Their excuse... Oh we only have one person working the main desk What!? Then hire someone else or get rid of the lazy one you have. Ugh, I cant with them. Ive put up with it for years with them. Dont be like me... There are other great doctors out there. Not worth the hassle.

There is a great collection of expert and professionals here. If you child is having problems in school, learning, or emotional management these are the people you go see. Although well meaning, schools, GPs, and teachers are not going to get it done. We were at the end our our rope in helping one of our little ones and this place SAVED US. They were the only folks that had the knowledge and the tenacity to figure out the problem, address it, and get us on the path to a greatly improved living situation and health path for our child.

Working with this clinic has been the most frustrating experience. The outgoing message says that they will return calls to existing patients in one business. This is an absolutely FALSE STATEMENT.

I received a referral for my daughter over 2 months ago. Despite leaving numerous messages, I still have not received a call back. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

After all of the issues Ive had with leaving many messages with no call back, Ive decided to go somewhere else. The woman I actually did get a hold of once out of numerous phone calls blamed it on the fact that shes the only one in the office and she tries to call people back if she can. After reading these reviews I see that Ive been wasting my time because it seems that this is an ongoing problem for this office.

Dont waste your time. I have called 4 times to schedule an appointment. They never answer their phones or call back. I dont have this time to waste anymore. I am getting my sons authorization redirected somewhere else.

This is a typical Rady Childrens clinic, horrible customer service and severely understaffed. If you can ever get to them, the physicians are amazing but this clinic is typical for Rady as they try to increase their already huge profit margin. A monopoly is great for their bottom line, horrible for those of us who rely on our community hospital for assistance caring for our patients.

As of 10/10/18 this clinic is not accepting any new Medi-Cal patients at this time. This is quite disturbing as this population needs to be helped while they are young. How can a public research University medical clinic completely refuse to schedule any new Medi-Cal patients? Where are these children supposed to get help?

Ive had the same experience as the others. Ive been unable to call to schedule an appointment despite leaving 3 messages over the past month. Theres no excuse for this unprofessional behavior.

Scheduled 2 appointments with Dr. Gahagan only to have an intern see me on both appts. At the end of the 2nd appt, she informed me that she was intern and this would be my last appt with her as she accepted a position somewhere else. This was the first time I was told she was an intern. I Called to schedule another appoint. As I told the scheduler, I want the Dr and not somebody else. I also stated I wanted consistency and the same Dr each time. I was informed I would have to wait 6 weeks. I said fine and scheduled the appointment for 6 weeks later for 2:30pm. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early. I arrived 20 minutes early, paid my copay and was told that she would notify the Dr I was there. 2:30pm came and went with nothing. 2:45pm came and went with nothing. Finally at 2:51 a lady came out and started talking to my son and asked us to follow. Please note...... NO OTHER PATIENT WAS IN THE WAITING ROOM THIS WHOLE TIME. Went into an office where she started updating the records. I could tell she was very new as she didnt know that you were supposed to check blood pressure, height and weight before. She updated the record and the Dr came in for less than 5 minutes and left. The young lady escorted us to get the blood pressure, height and weight and appt was over EARLY. I waited 6 weeks for an appt with the Dr. that is supposed to last an hour only to get a half hour appt with some new girl that wasnt even aware that you are supposed to get blood pressure, height and weight first. All she did was update my record. Three appointments all a waste of my time.

Like the other reviews, I have called a dozen times, and have left a dozen messages, and no call back. What’s worse is the limited resources in San Diego for a behavioral doctor. In a County with more than 4 million people, it’s heartbreaking to see this aspect of healthcare fall short, especially in comparison to other metropolitan cities. This practice should be ashamed of themselves.

I keep calling to schedule an appointment for my child and they hardly answer their phone. I leave a message and dont even call me back. Dont know how they stay in business.
