Best place for kids to train, this place is a factory for little Jiu-Jitsu monsters, they treat the kids with respect and love, but they teach complex techniques and dont treat them like babies, they are taught submissions and how to tap right away, truly excellent Jiu-Jitsu teachers. They do offer a one week trial if youre on the fence.

I love training at Atos for so many reasons! Yes, they teach the best jiujitsu, their method of teaching and structure works so well for how I learn, but they also have an accommodating class schedule for any lifestyle and such a good environment, good vibes, and great leadership. I was visiting from out of town and dropped in to train. I have followed the academy on social media and am a huge fan of professor Galvao. Instruction during the class well delivered and understandable with quality detailed. The coach walked around and spent good quality instruction time with everyone. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We rolled a few rounds and the students were very sound and skilled! If I were staying in the area I would definitely come back.

I’m new to BJJ and wanted to learn basics during my vacations in San Diego. In my home academy they don’t teach that and I wanted some building blocks. I visited quite a few famous academies in San Diego, there are really great options. Atos stand out as the most structured and well organized. The classes were very insightful and delivered what I was looking for.

I love this place so much and here is why. It’s a great place for the whole family to get an amazing workout! I have two girls ages 6 and 8. My oldest was struggling with her confidence a couple of years back and since she started training at ATOS, I’ve noticed how much her confidence has boosted. She is so secure of herself now and feels like she can take on the world. Just that alone for me was a win!They are super family friendly. My husband and I also have been training there for a little over 4 years now and it’s been nothing but an amazing experience. We love our family evenings there. It’s such a fun and unique family bonding time.I love that there is no age limit to join, you see young kids to an older crow on the mats training and having a good time.

This facility is top notch. All the instructors are solid professionals. Each class is full of dedicated practitioners of all age groups. My 9yo daughter was nervous about starting. She attended 5 days of the free introduction week. I counted btwn 9 -14 girls in classes who made her genuinely feel comfortable. Always had at least 1 Black belt (2 most of the time) as Professors who ALWAYS made the class fun and were very professional with the kids. My daughter has made many friends and cant wait to attend class every day. This is the facility to train your kids in BJJ.

We were vacationing in San Diego and my daughter wanted a chance to train at her heros gym. We called and were welcomed with open arms, she felt just like one of the team. I couldnt think of a more positive atmosphere for my child to learn in.

This is the best place for women to train BJJ. Its the only place where you get women of all shapes and sizes and belt levels in a single room (outside of a womens only seminar / open mat).Super clean gym, top-notch instruction, good rolls - everything you need from your BJJ gym. Good vibes and respect all around; I even enjoy the music they play during rolls. The professors are examples of good conduct for everyone both on and off the mats.

I have been going here for the last couple years every time I visit San Diego for comic con. I love this school and enjoy training here. I have been fortunate to have met some very nice instructors and nice associates that work there. I will continue to visit at a minimum yearly to train here.

One of if not THE most prestigious Jiu-jitsu schools in the world. Too many world champs and rising stars here to count...Classes are packed but they somehow manage to get to each student to dial-in technique, correct mistakes, etc.Id move to San Diego just for ATOS if my wife would let me...

I was visiting SanDiego for a work medical conference as I’m a 40 yo physician. In my area I co own the small jiujitsu school I’m a part of. I had always wanted to train at Atos headquarters so of course I visited. Unfortunately Professor Galvao was traveling but the experience was amazing. Everyone was very welcoming. The atmosphere was very professional and very clean. No gi. No problem. You can rent a gi and rash guard there. Made me jealous among other reasons I don’t live in San Diego. The culture at the school is excellent so the leaders are doing a great job leading. Definitely check it out if you are in sandiego.

Since being here for only a few months, I met so many people who have moved their lives from another state or another country to be in San Diego just to train at Atos! Atos Jiujitsu HQ is by far the best place and the best team in the world to train in Brazilian jiujitsu. I am Belgian, European and we have very good athletes in Belgium too but the level of the teachers, the technical level, the level of training is incomparable !! I know what I mean. I came to ATOS HQ for a 2 and a half month training camp in preparation for this years Masters Worlds Competition. I train at an ATOS affiliate in Texas, and it was my first time visiting HQ. From the moment I arrived until the day I departed. I felt like I was right at home and part of the ATOS HQ family. The environment that Professor Andre and Professora Angelica have built there is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I fell in love with the academy and it’s people there. They are all so welcoming and supportive of you. You will learn from the best in the world and there is no pressure if you feel like you don’t know how to do something. There is always someone there to help you. I spent my time there improving my jiujitsu and growing as a grappler. I gained a family and a team that make me proud to be part of. I had so much fun in Professora Angelica’s class, it was tough and fun at the same time. It challenged me and I was so honored to be a part of the group there. All of the women are phenomenal. The overall energy there is contagious and you can’t help but feed off of it and smile. If you are in the San Diego area, this is where you want to be. From the moment you walk in, to when you take your first step on the Mats. You will feel the amazing positive energy there. Atos HQ is so inspiring! Great for weight loss too!!I have a coworker who trains at Atos and would enthusiastically talk about jiu jitsu at work all the time, and encouraged me to try it. I was morbidly obese and looking to make a change, and had dropped about 30lbs (the same 30 I’d lose and regain over and over again) but I knew I needed some physical activity that I enjoyed or I’d fall off the wagon (again) so I decided to give it a try.What a life changer! The atmosphere at Atos is so welcoming, encouraging, and challenging. I started in the Women’s class and immediately felt at home and fell in love with BJJ. The professor Angelica Galvao has the perfect balance kindness and encouragement while still holding you accountable to do your best. It has been so amazing to train here and watch myself transform under her world class guidance.Not only am I acquiring jiu jitsu skills, but I’ve also dropped 63lbs in the 6 months I have been training here!!! I am excited to work while I’m on the mat, but the desire to improve there also drives me to workout at the gym — and for once I don’t feel like it’s a chore because now I have a goal. I am in the best shape of my life and I know it’s only going to improve more.There are so many bjj greats here, and training with champions inspires me to strive for better every single day. I moved out to san diego from switzerland to train at atos. And the only thing i can say is- its even better than i expected it to be. The team is amazing and every training is hard and from really high quality but still a feeling of home. The classes are lead by andre galvao itself or one of his world class competitors as for example lucas barbosa.I love it and cant imagine to train at an other place anymore.

Did a private with JT Torres while in town and bumped into Keenan Cornelius out in town. Learned a ton from JT in my one hour private. Very technical and took a very personable approach to my lesson. One thing I can say is these guy have great training and are awesome guys off the mat. True champions at ATOS. All in all it was a great time!
