I am a webmaster with a few basic web sites, but I am not a web designer. I was checking out Dog and Roosters web site because I need some of my sites redesigned to be more compatible with mobile devices.While looking over Dog and Roosters site and assessing their capabilities I noted that they have disabled the right-click menu. It doesnt protect images, text or code from those capable of reusing those things, and it disables a basic browser function, which is a violation of generally accepted web design practices. It also indicates a basic misunderstanding of how ineffective and obnoxious those measures are.While discussing my redesign needs with the owner of this business, I mentioned the concerns I had about his web site. Mr Jungs overweening and arrogant responses convinced me that I should take my business elsewhere.

We had different sort of challenge for Dog & Rooster: a nice web UI for our web-service API. Their developers quickly learned how to interface with our API and deploy to our servers on AWS. All along, they were collaborated well with our team and flexible with our changing needs. Above all, we and our clients are pleased with the beautiful design.

I put a $4675 deposit down for a logo, website, branding package on 9/8/21 after meeting with Jack the owner in late August. After he charged my c/c on 9/9/21 he stopped returning my emails. I emailed wondering about the design work after hearing from no one for 13 days. On 9/24/21 Tomoko an employee emailed me logo designs randomly. I never met her or discussed what I wanted for a logo design. She never asked me questions about my business or what look I was after. She never asked to meet me, zoom with me or collaborate in anyway other than emails. She always emailed me back but didn’t thoroughly answer my ques or concerns. After seeing how BAD the inital logo designs were, I emailed Jack 3 times about my concerns and that this designer was not the right fit for my project. Jack NEVER emailed me back until I sent in a cancellation email for my deposit refund on 10/5/21. Last time he emailed me was thanking me for my $ on 9/9/21 after that not a PEEP. Here is the breakdown: $2225 for website 35% deposit, $675 for logo 50% deposit, $1275 branding 50% deposit, label design 50% deposit $500. I offered to pay $675 of the total deposit of $4675, because I did receive some logo designs even though they were not usable designs. The issue was the details were too small to print on a product label. Tomoko and Jack refused to respond to my concerns of how the logo would print on a skincare product label. After a slew of angry emails. I agreed to sign a mutually release agreement forfeiting $1000, more than the logo designs work was worth to avoid any more conflict. I never received any communication or collaboration from Jack on the logo designs. There was no design worksheet or outline detailing the phases of the project and timelines for the work. I was also not told that Jack does little to none of the work and has employees/ contractors do most of it. As of 10/7/21 I received the mutual agreement to cancel the contract and refund me minus $1000 and hidden in the agreement is two non-disclosure clauses. I did not agree to waive my right to freedom of speech and that has nothing to do with my refund. None of the work was done other than part of the logo so I am entitled to a refund for services not rendered. I had to dispute the charge with my bank and when I did dispute it I noticed he sneakily over charged me from the beginning and extra $100 at $4775 and not $4675. My bank has issued me a temporary refund. However, Jack stated if I didn’t sign the agreement, he would be keeping MUCH more of my money per the contract fine print even though NO other work had been started at all other than the logo. I hope this experience helps you make a better-informed decision about working with this company. I would not recommend this company.
