VERY EXPENSIVE! Beware the company charged $120 for 2 hours. You think there will be a team to come and clean but it was only 1 person cleaning crew.For $120, you think they will pay their house cleaner reasonable wage. But they dont - the house cleaner was paid $17/hour. Talking about not treating their staff well.Look for another company that will add value and that could send a team to clean your property.I am still wait for them to send me before and after pictures which I am still waiting for.

Had a deep clean and they didn’t perform a deep clean! Very disappointed with the service. The 1st cleaner tried her best but the 2nd cleaner did absolutely nothing and was only there for 1.5 hrs. Laundry room wasn’t even touched nor the cabinets! Overall just very disappointed with the service. Patios were not even swept and specifically ask for that as well.

I couldnt be happier with Happy Host as my Airbnb turnover crew! These girls work hard and have their formula DOWN. I read in a business book that consistency -- whether it be a restaurant, barber shop, or hospitality business -- is paramount to repeat business. Happy Host is totally consistent; from how they fold their towels and set out amenities to how they operate on the backend and communicate with me as the property owner. The cleanliness and overall vibe of your property, that is, the first impression your guests have when they walk in, is what your success as a short-term rental business is going to hinge on. You can depend on Happy Host to take care of each new guest before they check in. It really is nice to not have to worry about cleaning or managing my property and letting it all operate as a PASSIVE form of income thanks to Happy Host!

I love the concept of Happy Host. Linen service and text notifications upon arrival/departure are much needed services in the industry....... and the only reason I stuck with them for our 2 rentals over the summer. Their linens are most definitely not hotel quality as advertised and dont even include fitted sheets. On more than one occasion, the linens were so bad that I had to swap them out with extra ones I had at home. They even once made the bed without a mattress pad (and didnt inform me that it was missing). Cleanings were rushed and there was absolutely no attention to detail. More than once I found layers of sand on counters and end tables, food smears on tables and debris on the tile. Some cleaners were better than others, but my requested cleaners were rarely assigned to my units (a 1 bedroom and a studio). I often spent an hour (or more) cleaning after Happy Host had left. The week that I was out of town and could not do this, I received a complaint and had to refund their cleaning fee. Ive recently switched cleaning companies and Im wondering why I waited so long. I now walk into my units and cant find a single thing that needs to be done..... windowsills are cleaned, walls and cabinets are wiped down, and all surfaces are spotless. And Im paying less. Im happily back to doing laundry. I also want to note that 2 recent good reviews for Happy Host are written by their cleaners (I know their names because they were occasionally assigned to my units). Not cool.

Loved this for a quick weekend getaway - perks was the outdoor space for bringing our pups along with us! The house was stocked with all utelsils needed and spices plus an outdoor BBQ that made cooking for 6 adults and 2 kids a breeze. I would definitely recommend this place, however, parking is limited so carpool in.

We used Happy Host’s services for our holiday rental property and have always been very pleased with their service and responsiveness. We hosted our property from abroad so it was great to have support on the ground to take care of our property and ensure that it was in great shape for our guests.

This company has some good systems in place that made them an appealing solution for cleaning our Airbnb rental. We liked the option of renting linens and getting notifications and reports regarding the cleanings, but there was a severe disconnect between what the cleaners actually did and the expectations that were set for us. They did a great job on some things, but stayed a much shorter time then we were told was necessary for our large house and seemed to rush through things, missing a lot in the process. We paid for add-ons like patio and grill cleaning and most of the time those items were not done by the cleaners as well as the few specifics I asked them to check each time. They were also inconsistent in the amount of linens, toiletries, soap, etc that were left. One of our renters complained that there were no kitchen dish towels or paper towels left by the cleaners, and then we ended up having to pay a replacement cost to Happy Host for that missing dish towel because it was not returned (which is hard to do when one is not left in the first place). This was just a small example of the headaches that added up over time. We ended up asking a neighbor to start coming over after the Happy Host left and finish up what was missed, which defeated the purpose of paying such a premium for a cleaning service. Again, I like the idea of this company, but the execution was not great for us. I do appreciate the friendly office staff and the owner was helpful when we spoke to him. Glendale especially went above and beyond to help us with a couple of stressful situations. I imagine that this might be a better option for smaller rental properties and that perhaps our 5 bedroom home was more than they were equipped to handle in the allotted time.

I have used happy host for about a year now for monthly cleanings, and I am always pleased with the quality of service for the price. The ladies are always on time, and the customer service team is also amazing. They are very accommodating and want to make sure you are satisfied with your service.

This house is the perfect location and so cozy. Just need new carpet in the bedrooms but other than that my family loved it.

Happy host steals guests phone numbers without the Airbnb hosts knowledge and then solicits them to do a survey about cleaning satisfaction. That way the guest complains to happy host and the person paying happy host has no idea about the terrible service they paid for. Very shady. Happy host breaks their contract whenever they want. Happy host tells you if you make them a co host its only to schedule your calendar. That is not true they steal guests phone numbers and spam them. Their terms and service sent to me said they did include dishwashing but when a guest had a problem with dirty dishes they werent doing dishes anymore. The linens were worse than motel 6 and always had mascara or yellow stains. I have many pictures. Guests constantly complained about cleanliness and one guest actually left and I had to refund part of the stay. Happy Host wont refund you any money for leaving your house filthy or always rescheduling you and being late. If things were left broken or stained by guests happy host never told us. We found our blinds ripped off the wall and shoved in a closet no one ever told us. Other times we have found broken lamps and pots shoved into a closet with no communication to us. Happy host charges you a $50 fee to get familiar with your property but somehow can never find the stock room or know where to park, ect, they pretty much just pocket that money. Happy host does not care about your business and they dont even care about their own business. It is a total joke. It’s so sleazy to have your friends review you or to pay for them. But I guess that’s what you have to do if you don’t understand how to be ethical or how to run a good business. I only used them so long because I was out of town. Save your time and save your superhost status, Im losing mine because of these alleged happy hosts.

My husband and I have stayed at several Airbnb units in San Diego that are maintained by Happy Host. The units weve stayed at were clean and well maintained. The towels and sheets are nice and crisp and have a nice fresh smell - just like staying at more expensive hotels.In fact, we are currently staying for two months in one of these units maintained by Happy Host. All basic necessities are provided - toilet paper, paper towel, extra linens and toiletries.We are pleased with the cleaning company used by our Airbnb units.

After a long day of travel, it was a pleasure to come to a spotless unit. Very welcoming!

Weve used Happy Host several times for Airbnb and Homeaway vacation rentals, and their cleaning service has been terrific! Its so much easier having them handle our linens than having to buy new ones all the time. If you are an Airbnb host and want to take the hassle out of managing your property, hire these guys!
