I had to move due to the pandemic but Victory is the first place I ever rolled and took classes. One of the best academies on the planet in my opinion. Shouts out to Coach Craig, he makes concepts easy to understand and is a great teacher for the new guys as well as veterans. I lost over 30lbs at this gym and learned the art of Bjj and for that I’m thankful. Keep up the good work y’all.

This place took me into the community right from the start. The coaches are knowledgable, entertaining and always put in extra work for you to get ready for a fight. Ah Victory MMA! I certainly miss it! Had to move from San Diego during the pandemic, but this is an outstanding MMA and fitness gym! I had nothing but good experiences here from day one! The sheer variety of training, the talent amongst the coaches, and the overall friendliness of the members makes this place truly unique! It has everything from kids and fitness classes for everyday people to elite level MMA and jiu jitsu training for pros! Whatever you want, Victory will deliver! I had great Muay Thai instructors in Tony and Steve and of course world class Jiu-Jitsu from Adam, Dean, Jocko, and everyone else! This is an outstanding gym! If I move back to San Diego I will sign up again in a heartbeat!

This is the first mentally healthy gym I have ever trained in during 40 years of martial arts training. The leadership here is an unbelievable team of coaches. People do not know how lucky they are to train here. I have trained here for 3 years and could not be more excited about the level of training that is offered at Victory gym!

Ive been attending the boxing classes at Victory for a month now. I signed up on the second day of my week-long trial because I knew this was the kind of gym I wanted to go to. Ive taken classes with Coach James and Coach Tony--both of them are amazing teachers who foster a challenging but fun learning environment. I also love how the people there jump in the classes ready to get to work and help each other out. Reasonable pricing with special discounts if youre military; just for the boxing classes alone, Id say the membership is worth it. Glad to be a Victory member! :)

This place is awesome! We love the variety of classes they offer and the instructors are great. Both the kids and adults classes are fun and a great workout! All of the instructors have so many great techniques and have a good wealth of knowledge. This place is also clean! Other gyms we have gone to had gross bathrooms but Victory MMA pays attention to detail! We love it!

Started training here a couple of months ago - and see no reason to leave. Knowledgeable, experienced, and professional instructors. Staff and members were very welcoming and friendly. Big (CLEAN) facility with plenty of equipment to train. They genuinely support our active military and veterans, its not just a tagline for business. The price seems very reasonable. My only critique: the front desk staff could use a customer service and telephone etiquette refresher course, but dont let that be a deciding factor! Great for beginners. I love that the instructors for the classes are very personable, they take time on each and every person and help them with whatever they need work on. Very clean and big gym, aside from the may classes they offer they have a full, open, free weight gym area as well as plenty of equipment and room for whatever you want to work on. The yoga class is AMAZING. Staff and peers are both extremely nice! Not to mention the membership rates are very good for a full MMA gym, and they will still work with you. Overall great experience.

This place is awesome! Coming from someone who had no idea how to even throw a single jab this place has boosted my confidence tremendously! As long as youre willing to work hard and are dedicated the staff here will push you to try your hardest. Honestly, the most difficult part of my joining was just stepping into my first class. I was nervous about being the new kid who had no idea what I was doing but everyone was very welcoming and super supportive! Now I try to go to as many classes as I can! I have found my new passion. This place is more than a gym, they offer training for all ages starting at 4 years old. It was clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. There is free parking in their lot. You can train with their experienced staff who take the time to help correct/perfect your skills. They have locker rooms for men and women.

Great gym my time got cut short at. Incredibly understanding of both my military commitments and a knee injury. Can’t say enough great things about the classes I attended. Top quality instructors! If I’m stationed here again no question where I’ll join

Trained here off and on for over a decade. Easy to come easy to go. Instructors are highly skilled and very effective at what they do. Also happens to be one of the most inexpensive spots in town.

Outstanding facility. Great energy. Monica at front desk was great, very welcoming. World class instructors and ton of available classes. I’m a 20+ year martial artist, this is one of best facilities I’ve seen.

The boxing classes with James are awesome. There really is a class for everybody and if you are new, you dont feel dumb at first because of how nice they are. Great value all around with all the classes included. The reason for 4 stars is that this place is lacking cleanliness. The bathrooms are pretty bad in particular.

This is an irresponsible business that uses innocent animals as a door prize. Theyre giving away a boxer puppy to just anyone who wins a contest. Im sure the dog wont be spayed/neutered so the dog will just be used for breeding or sold to another random person. Im pretty sure this is illegal. Bad bad business!!

My previous gym recently closed, just three weeks after I bought a 1 year membership. VictoryMMA was generous enough to take all of the member of the now closed gym and best of all they respected my 1 year membership. They were very welcoming and made me feel like I was part of the family. Great customer service and great facility. Overall a great gym.

Joe is a great guy; very friendly and conversational.They have a very malleable methodology to business that focuses more on relationship than fees and profit. Great trainers and wide range of skill set of the students so you can find a good sparring partner. If you want to get in shape and learn martial arts on a real world level, then this is the place for you.

Victory MMA is an amazing facility with lots to offer. They have a ton of grappling space, and three different rooms with multiple striking bags. There are also two crossfit areas, which have classes multiple times a week. With great coaches and competitive pricing, this is the top MMA and fitness gym in San Diego. This gym has everything under one roof: free weights, a crossfit area for Olympic lifts, and tons of classes for a variety of martial arts (Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, Wrestling, MMA, etc.). They have classes for every skill level and even have a variety of classes for kids. Ontop of that the owner is a fantastic guy who made me feel welcome immediately. All my interactions with the staff have been great and theres a real family vibe to the place.Theres no sleazy sales tactics or hidden fees like most gyms. Victory is the best gym I have ever trained at!!! They have tons of different classes and every one I dealt with was down to earth and professional. I ended up having to leave the country to work, and Joe helped me cancel my membership. If I ever move back to San Diego, I will definitely train here again.

When I first started I was embarrassed to even go to a gym. It was something I wasnt really into and was hard to get motivation to go. The staff here kept me wanting to come back and get better at everything I tried. Once you have a membership you can switch programs based on the class times they have available to find which sleeping of martial arts you fit in. Classes Arnt large and the instructors really know how to hone in on the people who seem to need a little bit more. The gym is a great place to learn and keep you motivated to come back.

Great facility for any kind of physical training. There are so many classes that you will literally not even be able to try them all. The level of professionalism and knowledge of the instructors are of the highest caliber.

They were more than welcome to have me hurry and sign up but wasnt as caring after I did. I talked to the owner about personal training and he said he was going to find someone for me, I even gave him my personal number. He never got back to me. Seems like all they care about is saying the right things to have you sign up.

Best gym in San Diego. Been to most of them now and this is easily the best environment to learn in my opinion.

I was a member for over six years. This place is great. You receive quality instruction from reputable trainers. Take any class instructed by Tony Palafox. You will learn great technique, not just mindlessly punch a bag. Rudy is great at working with you on your membership. Owner Joe really cares about his gym and his members. Definitely take advantage of their freee trial.

My whole perspective on exercise has changed since coming to this gym. The words “exercise” and “gym” used to make me uneasy because I always fealt out of place and self conscious. Victory MMA has made working out fun for me. Going to the boot camp class at least 5 times a week has made me a different, better person in just a month. The instructor, Jon Akers, somehow finds a way (despite teaching a class averaging about 7-10 people) to help you one on one and show you the right way to perform the exercises and motivate you. Far and beyond the best gym I have been to. Thankful that my friend brought me here.

Ive been training here for the past two years and its been the best fitness experience Ive ever had. They offer morning classes to help start your day out right and Tony is an incredible teacher. Everyone is really nice and if you want a fitness challenge, this is definitely the place to be. I like both boxing and muay thai classes. Plus, sparring is super fun once you get the comfortable in regular classes.Thank you Victory!

One of the WORST martial art schools on earth. If you want to train with 20 year old unemployed, idiotic, completely unproven Wannabe tough guys who sweat and smell bad then this school is perfect for you. However, if you want a respectable academy with intelligent and friendly people then please go train ANYWHERE else. I would also like to emphasize that these guys who think they are tough and smell bad are not being challenged, I suspect that the first time they are challenged they will be exposed as wannabes and fakes. Again one of the worst schools on planet earth, I would not train there for free.

I am in San Diego for work and I train back home. This place is reputable as known by people in the bjj and mma community. With my work schedule limiting me from coming as much as i want They were able to give me a real good price for 3 months thanks to Joe and staff. Also, remember their pricing is very reasonable due to the fact that they have everything like a workable gym, crossfit and other martial arts for one price. This San Diego MMA gym rocks! Their classes are very challenging and will push to the next level... Keep you on your toes and the instructors know how to really break down the art of jiu jitsu. Very disappointing! The receptionist are worst! She even judged me already when I tried to inquire for muay thai and instead of giving me information she told me that its for people who knows sparring or high intense self defense training. Like Im not qualified to learn?! I should be a pro to join the muay thai class?! Very unprofessional!!

Simply put, these folks are professionals as well as genuinely nice people. The Jiu Jitsu instructors are legends in the sport.

Training in MMA is hard enough, but being a girl who is training can be awful. There are so many places where they dont take you seriously and you cant learn or be challenged on your level. Victory has far exceeded my expectations. I thought it was just another gym where guys can work out together in a meat factory, but the level of talent here is beyond what you get at any other gym. The trainers respect you and they want to teach you everything they know. When youre taking classes you get paired up with someone whos actually on your level because they evaluate where you are and challenge you. Ive never been pushed harder than I have been at this place. Most of my friends switched to this gym to do their boxing, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai training because Victory is by far the best training facility in San Diego. Being trained by professional fighters and coaches is the standard at Victory instead of being trained by fitness coaches. Once you start here you wont train anywhere else.

I mostly take the Jiu Jitsu classes, and love them! I get to learn from some of the best Jiu Jitsu competitors in the world, and everyone is very willing to help the new guys. Great prices and lots of classes to choose from.

I went in out of curiosity. My cousin, now in the Marine Corps, always came here with a few friends before joining up and said some great things about the experience that drew me to try it years later. I went in, the staff and trainers were very welcoming, and one of the main selling points for me was the atmosphere. You can be a College Division 1 athlete, a single mom, a military veteran, or just the average joe and theres something for you here. Theres no contract or shady business practices to leave a sour taste in your mouth. If you have even the slightest curiosity or intent to get into MMA, jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, cross-fit, or even just motivated to get in shape, then this is the gym for you. Even if you are new and have no idea what you are doing, the trainers are very helpful and give you the attention you need to get things right. I did the research myself before going into any agreement and you definitely should too. Look at the competition throughout San Diego, whether its through Google or Yelp, read the reviews, and see for yourself why Victory differentiates itself.

Victory MMA has great instructors for all levels. Their crossfit classes are crazy and their Jui Jitsu instructors are top notch. I used to go to this gym when it was called Throwdown Elite and the place is way better now. I tried their google offer of a free week pass and was hooked. Thanks Victory!

If you are looking for an MMA Gym dont look anywhere else. The classes here are amazing. The jiu jitsu classes are taught by current and former UFC fighters. I started off taking the no Gi jiu-jitsu class which was such a great workout and kicked my butt. As I progressed, I tried the Gi class which allows you to go through the belt system. The crazy thing is that the Gracie Humaita jiu jitsu Academy training was included with the membership. They also have muay thai classes that are really fun and even if you are a beginner you can jump right in. The boxing class that I took showed me I was not as in shape as I thought. They also offer crossfit with a huge room full of rubber weights (great for power lifting as well), yoga and a few others classes that I have not tried yet, but am looking forward to trying in the future!

Great classes, terrible front desk service. I wouldnt waste your time unless youre pretty serious about it.
