The best gym in San Diego. Three courts in one location. As a kid I remember watching Bill Walton and a few other NBA player play in here. Today it doesnt have the same level of competition but you can still find some solid games. My son trains in here from time to time.

One of SDs most important spots for pick-up basketball. Was open from noon to 4 on weekdays, booked for events on Saturdays, and super busy for pick up on Sundays. Just resurfaced recently.. so, reason for 2 stars.. PICKLEBALL.. like every other gym in the city it is now being repurposed by baby boomers to play this ridiculous game. No longer available on Mon or Wed. Well see where it goes from here.

There are two pull up bars outside Municipal Gymnasium-Balboa that is good for tourists who like the sport as me.
