The FFSC team does their best to service and support any family or service member eligible for their services. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly but their hard work sometimes goes unnoticed.

After weeks of trying to get assistance for my marriage, I gave up and went out in town. I’ve them everyday to be told they have no availability. As a Chief Petty Officer, I’m suppose to guide my Sailors in the right direction. Well any FFSC in this region will not be one of my recommendations. Just spend the money out in town and claim back through Tricare. If you wait for their assistance, your problems grow IE: your marriage will be over. I highly recommend using family services in Point Loma; there are dozens of places.

Abysmal over the phone scheduling, basically impossible to get an intake counseling appointment. Ive been calling as instructed by call center staff for the last 4 days, first thing in the morning, and always get a different story as to why nothing is available. Ridiculous that trying to access this resource is so difficult for families in need of help.

They allowed my wife to accuse me of alot of things that were falsities, but they wouldnt open a case afterwards on what she was doing to me, Barbara Parks treated me as I was guilty, her boss Peggy Cohn, informed me that because the FAP case was closed that they wouldnt open a new case considering what my wife is doing now. They are such a waste of money and time, but typical of government employees that play cover up for the abusers, and the Navy.

Fleet and Family is here for service members. They allow you to obtain a loan if cannot afford your rent/expenses and are very good for general information in the San Diego area.

The lady I encountered here was very friendly and directed me to the resources I required.
