I had an excellent experience working with Brooke Kane-Wootton as my escrow officer.Purchasing a home is a stressful situation with potential dire consequences. These emotionally charged transactions heighten ones anxiety and can create what feels like desperation which often brings out the worst in people.I myself had a situation where the home I’m purchasing is in need of Section 1 tenting and repairs due to active termites and for me to schedule a tenting (and scheduling SDG&E to turn off the gas) was predicated upon closing escrow; as I could not schedule work on a house I do not own yet. If I didn’t get this successfully scheduled this week, Hungry Termite said they would not be able to schedule this for another few weeks as this has been an extremely busy termite and real estate year in this region.I called Brooke to inquire about what steps were left for closing escrow and transferring title and she was so patient, knowledgeable and kind. She listened to my dilemma, clarified what the steps are to closing, told me where we were at, and assured me she would inform me when my wire transfer was received from Morgan Stanley. This was comforting and gave me hope. She did exactly what she said she would and informed me when she received the funds and then explained that recording of title was next. Shortly thereafter I received confirmation from my real estate agent that I could have the key and I was able to meet SDG&E at the property to turn off the gas so Hungry Termite could begin the process of tenting the house the following day.With the help of Brooke I am now the proud new owner of a house in Bay Ho that is in the process of being exterminated. Therefore, I will be able to move in October 28th, instead of mid November.Im so thankful for Brooke and TeamKWC of Foundation Escrow Services for their stellar customer service.

I love this company! Hewan and Tiffany have been extremely helpful and the net sheet technology is a huge added benefit!

They were wrong about a calculation and Maria is so arrogant that she can’t fathom that she’s wrong so she won’t even check her work. In rough numbers she said I paid $4000 in taxes for the year. The purchase price of the house was $457,000. How did I score a lower tax rate than everyone else in San Diego? I explained where her problem was and emailed the CEO. What do they do? They go home and don’t work to fix the problem. The closing is the next day and if I can manage to get them to pull their head out. They’ll need to ask for more money from the buyer. He might not have the money. What really annoys me is that she puts a smiley face of ten end of everything. Especially when she clearly thinks your scum under her shoe. The closing may not6 happen because of her. Stay away from them unless you want to be robbed by someone who’s doesn’t know what’s she’s doing. on top of ten above. She marks fees as optional, so you tell here to take it off and it was never optional. Then they pass with junk fees. My advice: stay far away from foundation escrow. Stay away from foundation escrow.

So it looks like I am the only one with a bad review....it is directed toward Marias behavior toward me and her lack of communication, actually, the assistants were the only ones that were helpful and able to explain details....Maria was appointed to my escrow and getting a hold of her was next to impossible - she called me back once after having been urged to by my realtor, and then she greeted me with condescending and impatient behavior!! Unbelievable....thoroughly disappointing....and this is my 6th real estate buy/sell.....I am not a complete newby at this....

They assigned a junior escrow officer that wasnt qualified to do the job. She wasnt familiar with the forms and couldnt answer any questions correctly. I searched Google to found out that she was giving bad advice. If I had listened to her then I would have paid thousands taxes that I didnt owe!They have you fill out a pre-sale questionnaire. It seemed like they ignored everything in it which caused confusion during the process. If there is a discrepancy between the buyer and seller, it should be resolved before escrow starts...not days before escrow is about to close.

Basically, the people are very nice, BUT, they miscalculated, or more precisely, failed to calculate the prorate on my property taxes. I wasnt informed that escrow had closed until speaking with my real estate agent, and was never informed that my check was in route via FedEx. This to me is very poor client relations and they should step up their program.
