We have used Apstarr Financial for our credit card processing for many years. They are by far the best card processor weve ever had, and weve been in business since 1996. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and they have excellent credit card processing rates.

Not a good company to deal with. They locked us into a contract and then held our first transaction. They never funded the transaction and ended up refunding the money back to the customer. We will be unplugging our machine and never using it again. We asked them to come get their machine, and they never even acknowledged that request. Worst credit card company. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They will make doing business embarrassing for you. Don’t do it. There are other companies out there that will do better for you, especially for a small business.
Rocio Rosales is amazing! Very thorough, responds quickly, explains everything in a way you can understand, listens and acts on your needs, and is courteous. I had issues with the terminal for some time, was disconnecting from internet, the regular customer service line was not much help, but as soon as I explained this issue to her, she got on it right away and replaced the faulty terminal; we’ve had no issues at all with the new one. She absolutely knows what good customer service means!

I was locked in to a contract of 3 years by a sleazy sales man. After the 3 years were up, I called to cancel and they said I was not locked in for another year because its autorenewal every year. Now I am stuck paying a $595 fee just because. WHAT!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE BETTER CREDIT CARD MERCHANT PROCESSORS OUT THERE THAT DO NOT HAVE TO LOCK YOU INTO ANY CONTRACTS. I mean If they were to be a great company why would they need contracts to keep customers?

If I could give less stars, I would. First and foremost, I’m not necessarily upset with the person that came to my business to offer us this product. But I am very upset with the company itself.About two weeks ago, a representative came into MY office of my small town, family owned STARTER business and sold me on the equipment for AppStar, promising better processing rates and such. We worked with TWO representatives, one on-site, Richard, and one over the phone Anika. Both promised we’d be SO MUCH happier, and most importantly, we’d have instant access to our funds (after they batched out that night at 8:30PM), the next day.My husband and I bought in.Fast forward to 5/13/2021, we ran our first two transactions, not thinking we’d have any issues because these “professionals” took a VERY invasive look into our finances to evaluate appropriate limits and such. So we trusted them, seeming to be vigilant and knowledgeable. On 5/14/2021, we checked our account for a very large transaction to see if it had been funded, as promised (in the thousands), and it wasn’t nor was the smaller transaction of $76.I immediately called AppStar. Come to find out, the company had flagged the prior days ending amount as a fraud possibility. So of course, I am VERY upset, as is my husband. We NEEDED this transaction to go through.So, we played their game on 5/14/2021. We submitted THREE MONTHS OF INVASIVE BANK STATEMENTS REQUESTS, ALL copies of SIGNED receipts, and I even went as far to include the information from NOT JUST the one transaction in the thousands but the $76 transaction the company did not fund. After speaking with them on this Friday, we were told the $76 would be funded and we would get the larger transaction no later than Tuesday with the proper documentation. Fine.So let me reiterate. I sent in texts of approval, receipts, bank statements, AND THE COMPANY CALLED THE CUSTOMER DIRECTLY and they STILL DENIED to give MY company the money THEY ALREADY RECEIVED, 5/17/2021.This was literally said to my husband, “the customer said something that indicated we were not going to get our money, so we are reversing the transaction, she will need to come in and re-run the transaction AFTER we ‘up your limit.’”I immediately informed my customer of this embarrassment.My husband then followed up about the $76 charge and we were told it would be TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY before we saw that. After being told it was going to be in there on 5/14/2021.Now the company REFUSES to let us out of our contract due to their negligence.I will be pursuing an attorney to help me resolve this issue with this company as they have caused MUCH more in damage than just a denied transaction.What is more embarrassing is that this company TOOK the money from the customer and had it IN THEIR ACCOUNT and then refused to pay us as a vendor.This is sketchy, unprofessional, and THEY are the frauds. Do not fall in this terrible trap.
Went on more than 5 appointments and was paid for only 1. That check BOUNCED. It was for $25.00. And it cost me an additional 12 dollars.

Unfortunately, the credit card processing industry is a necessary evil and is fraught with deception. I had been with my previous processor for about 6 years, and was overall pleased. They had been raising some fees and I would have to call them to remind them of the agreement we had. After being approached by Timothy and reviewing their fees and guarantees, I decided to give them a one-month side-by-side comparison with the other processor. Although they werent mind-blowing, I could definitely see the savings. That being said, I have a fairly high monthly volume, and a fairly large average ticket. This may be one of the reasons I was able to negotiate the low rate that I have. I have been processing with Appstar for about 11 months now, and would definitely recommend them. If you dont think you are getting a good deal, walk away or ask for something better. And as others have said, read the fine print!
Let me start by saying that I was extremely hesitant to switch over, Tim was very persistent with his following up and his dedication to get me to switch, but like most business owners that has had issues with credit card processing I did not feel comfortable doing so, finally after about 60 days of back and forth I did the switch to their SwipeSimple product with the wireless card reader, I am so happy with the switch! I love the simplicity of the app and the fact that I can send payment links straight to my clients, I am extremely HAPPY with the product and the switch, the rates are great, I cant complain, thank you guys and Im sorry I was such a pain in the rear about switching over to you.
Other credit card processing companies have tried to get our business and NONE OF THEM came close to the price we received from Appstar!

If you want someone to overnight destroy the reputation of your company then there folks are it. They have become by far my worst nightmare. I would never recommend them. Not even to my competitors. I’d rather never process online payments in my life they deal with them. They are full of lies and mislead you every step of the way.

My husband and I decided it wasnt worth the hassle to leave our credit card company that we had been working with for over 6 years just to possibly save $70/month. You know how sales organizations are... they get you in the door and then all the extra fees come out of nowhere. I kindly declined and told them we decided to stay with our current company. This was the response I received from Sergio Panduro, the sales representative Sorry to hear that, don’t know why you think it is a good idea to pay more or maybe you called and they lowered your rates, and you think that is great or somehow you think you made the correct decision when your rates will only go right back up.Let me know when your done being over charged.Needless to say, the reviews are accurate and they are rude and unprofessional. His response is exactly what I expected after reading other reviews and solidified our decision.
App Star was introduced to me to the dynamic Robert Richardson. Not only did he save me money for my business, but the actual machine is wireless and looks sleek in my place of business. He is always willing to assist and find the answers from someone if he cannot. The customer service is superb and they are always quick to answer my phone calls and work diligently to find a solution when and if problems arise (which is not a lot of the time). I highly recommend any business to really consider App Star and to look into sooner than later to start saving your business some money NOW!

The world of credit card processing can be quite daunting... but i have to tell you that working with Appstar has made it easy to navigate. I have been processing since i was an independent hair stylist up to now with owning a hair salon - for a total of like 13 years. All of my stylist use Appstar individually to run their business behind the chair. Their rates are competitive but the real reason I have stayed with them is because the quality of customer service. Sergio Panduro and his team are outstanding. Specifically, Robert Kim... he has help me through some difficult times with processing challenges, especially during the COVID-19 closures.... I can truely say they are the real meaning of a business partner... Thanks a million Sergio, Robert and the rest of Appstar... :)
Just wanted to let everyone know that this company is a joke! Their salesperson explained that the fees would be cheaper than our prior processor, GUARANTEED!!! Needless to say, when we received our statement, we were in total shock!! For $200 less than the prior month we paid over $40 MORE!!. (The prior month was with the old processor). When Robert was selling this to us he informed me that he was a MAN OF GOD and always does the right thing! Apparently this does not apply to his work ethics! We have called and left numerous messages and he DOES NOT RESPOND!!! The company refuses to do anything without a statement from the old company (which I gave to Robert) and apparently he has not forwarded. PEOPLE BEWARE!!! THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO SELL YOU THEIR SERVICES, EVEN IF IT IS LIES.

This is a shyster company. Do NOT choose this company for your credit card processing needs! Their software isnt compatible with my online store and they will not work with me, and they are trying to charge me $1000 to cancel! They do not care that it doesnt work with my website, and they will not budge on the termination fees. Many other processors do not charge these fees and have way better service. STAY AWAY!!!

We are so happy that we switched from Braintree to Appstar. We had a huge issue with holdback percentages that Appstar was able to resolve. We are in business today because we finally found a credit card processor that actually listened and cared about our business.
I was contacted by Appstar about switching over to use there card processing. They had set an appointment for a rep who was supposed to be my area to meet with me. They cancelled less than a hour before they were supposed to meet. They then wanted me to send them my billing records so they could give me a review of my fees over the phone. They asked me to email the paperwork to them so they could fully review my statements. I did not get it emailed right away and they called me several times a day for the next week or so to try to get me to email my statements to them. I thought this was a bit aggressive so the next time they called I happened to look them up online and found very poor reviews of Appstar. When I asked the person on the phone about the reviews and the concerns he stated the people giving the poor reviews just didnt understand the service and they didnt understand the contract details because they didnt listen or pay attention well enough when it was explained to them when signing up with them. This answer was very disturbing to me and as a result I told him based on the reviews and complaints outlined in those reviews I was going to stay with my current company. He abruptly ended the call and hung up on me. I would be very wary of Appstar and any services they may provide to you and your business. Customer service and customer satisfaction should be important in any business not just the high pressure sale.
I have recently moved to App Star, with Kelly Moore as my main contact. Wow, everything is better! The kind service from Kelly, the app that they installed, the reporting, the flexibility of the reporting and processing, the rates, all of it, so much better than what I had before. Kelly is a very sharp professional who can be trusted absolutely. Kelly even made SURE that the transition of the procession was seamless. I highly recommend App Star and Kelly Moore!
Read the fine print of your contract. They do not tell you everything. It is a rip off. You are charged a fee even if notuse of almost $70. And early cancelation is $495It is a rip-off

Ive dealt with a few credit card processors in the past few year. Bar none the best. I had to report my last company to the FTC in order to get them to call me back and straighten out my problems. I have no complaints at all with Appstar
ZERO STARS FOR DARYLJust took a call from Daryl who was wanting to set up a meeting with one of our owners. My owner did know who Bob Richardson was and asked me to find out what is was about. When I told Daryl that he didnt know who that was and asked what this was in reference to, Daryl got an attitude with me and said, Basically youre telling me that this guy just sits in his office and wont talk to anyone on the phone unless he know who it is? and then continued to talk over me and hung up.I tried to call the number back at least 6 times, I wanted to speak with this Mr. Bob Richardson who Daryl was trying to set up an appointment for.Not surprised that no one picks up the phone and you cant leave a message.Beware - This company is likely out to steal your money, dont do give them any of your financial information.

Posting as Omega Bicycle Shop. Been with Appstar since 2010. A few years later we incorporated. We had to open a new business checking account. They tried to charge us the $495 cancellation fee. Were still doing business with under the corporation. Couldnt get Appstar to reverse the charge. I was forwarded to there corp office in texas. This wasnt a good experience either. I ended up paying $110 for them to switch business name & account. That should of made me think twice about Appstar. We continued on with Appstar. 2019 Our effective rate was going over 3% with all there fees added. I called left message with no reply. Called again and spoke to Jason. We went over our account. Jason told me were we could save some money. Jason said I should see a good reduction. Next statement it went up. It took me 2 attempts to talk with Jason. Now I was told they would fax me some paperwork. That paperwork never came. I left another message for Jason. After 3 days of no call back. Its time to find another processor.

Compared to other Credit Card Processing companies Appstar is by far the best company to use. I own a pawn shop currently and had a restaurant in the past... we averaged 700.000 in sales... If your looking for a credit card company dont hesitate to call them....there customer service is excellent

This is by far the worst processing company I have worked with. A lot of hidden fees, they do not keep their word. This company called my business and tried to get me to switch my credit card processing to them. Two days later a rep showed up and tried to give me a hard sell. I told him I would have to think it over. When I wasn’t looking he grabbed $50 off my counter that a customer had paid right before he came in and said well here is my card and left quickly. If this is how they try to win over new customers then count me out. Screen your employees better.
RIP OFF!!! I signed up with Kelly Moore and everything sounded good. They couldnt figure out how to get their software to work on our shopping cart, so they blamed the problem on slow internet, which is absurd. Their management people would not listen, and was stuck on their mantra pay up or else!. I cancelled the contract due to breach of contract because it never worked, and now they are trying to shake me down for $900.00. You may find that the only good reviews they get is from people in their BNI group. That is how I got stuck dealing with them.
Be careful ! Whatever sales person told you will be some different with the contract you sign ! Like they told me we can have the next day funding service when he tried to sell their service, but on the contract he crossed out and said we didnt request ! End up we have to apply for it and pay extra $2.99 each month ......and the most sneaky part is : on the application, theres a fine print says Merchant further agrees that the term of any existing processing agreement shall automatically be extended for an additional two years term from the date of the current contract end date ....again ! nobody will tell you if you need your money next day, you need to stay with them two more years . If you dont accept this, you have to wait for four days for your money coming into your account !Be careful about this company.....
Worst processing company ever! They lie and are argumentative over the phone. They go after your personal credit for business transactions. Go anywhere else on the planet for services! They will tell you they will meet or beat any competitors but then when asked to do so they just cancel your account and send your to collections for fees that are not accurate. Extremely unethical in their business dealings. Strong arm tactics and harassment of clients.
Salesmen was good told me i had no contract even crossed off and initialed saying no cancellation. cancelled because took too long to process plus no protection then tried to ruin my credit with $850 cancel fee i ended up paying please be careful with complany they are not the same people when you lock in with them. buyer beware also after i was sold never seen sales rep again.

Been with Appstar for more years than I can count, never had a problem till now. My terminal kept giving me canceled slips so I kept trying, my net was down. They refunded the charges on the card but charged me all the processing fees for the canceled slips, not happy.(update) I wrote a letter and they recovered my charges, feeling much better.
Run as far away as you can. This is a predatory company that will zing you for anything they can. The fees were very high and it seemed like they made their own rules and you are at their mercy. I thought my account was closed but I kept seeing a charge from my bank account for $79 plus. We did not know where this charge was coming from but then we figured it out. Appstarr charged me over $2k for something that I was not even using and got me for $495 cancellation fee and then another $478 FOR THEIR TERMINAL. Most legit companies will try to work with you but not this company. They were unhelpful and rude. Screw me is all that matter to them
I had an appstar representative come to my business to see if their services would be right for us. They were honest and let us know that they were not a good fit for us. Honesty, in this industry is the highest compliment that can be given. I was so impressed with this sales person that I am referring to everyone I know who will benefit from the Appstar service.
Robert Richardson saved my business almost $5000 annually. Whenever we had any issue, which we havent except for once, Robert came out personally to help us..Robert is the definition of what good customer service is all about. The credit card machine works wonderfully and we have had no issues.

Please, look the reviews before you star doing business with this really bad company, reviews can help you to be another victim or not of this company... they have a really bad customer services, or they treat you well until you are on they hands, after that they never answer the call, no one can help you, because they will transfer you call, with the whole company plus the pet of the company, to finish that they charge you a lot of hid fees and inexplicable fees, so avoid to be a victim... this was our bad experience with this joke of company
If I could give this company less than one star I would. The salesman promised a whole bunch of things that the company just didnt deliver. Hidden fees abound. Please do a cursory search and you will see that we all have had the same basic issues with this company. If you look through the reviews you well see a few 5s in a see of 1s. These false 5 star people are probably working for AppStar. Why not just offer a good service fairly instead of preying on small businesses.
Its very important to me that the reputation of AppStar be properly represented. My family has trusted Appstar with our family businesses for the past couple years in California with zero issues, and I also currently work here. We have literally thousands of merchants and have maintained our A+ with the BBB since the beginning. Im very proud of the work I do here helping merchants and only do my best for them.
Before you sign with them I would suggest burning the contract and running, far and fast. The worst processor I have worked with in 20 years. I have had tech issues with my mobile reader and my in store reader. Always a fight to get to the correct person and then days to get it resolved. The mobile reader never did get corrected and I stopped using it. The 20+page contract is loaded with loopholes that make it nearly impossible to get out even after your 3 year term is up. There rates are not bad on the surface but all the other fees they charge are way out of line. I will be fighting with these people for a long time just for my right to leave after my contract is up. BE VERY AFRAID!!!
I am a business owner, I have been with appstar for several years, I would recommend it to anyone. The rates are great I had never had to call them for an error. Customer service is always there to answer any questions or concerns I have.I get a monthly statement which I greatly appreciate . Not like other companies that do not send you anything by mail or email. With Appstar you will get an email if there is a change, you are not caught by surprise. I love it and I would not change it.

Great service. Great company. Any little problem Ive had in the past 2 years or so, has been resolved right away! Honestly, my problems were little to none! They have saved me a nice peace of change on fees. I am very please and highly recommend their service!
