I definitely would not recommend this attorney due to the fact that he doesnt have time to respond to emails or return phone calls to his paying clients. Hes very hesitant and unsure of himself and its painful to know that when you are going to go to court for a custody battle, that he will sit idle and not speak up or give proper representation. After court, he will maybe call you back and might maybe respond to and email. If he gets an email from another attorney, he will just forward that email to you but he will not respond to it or even bother to discuss an email and by some miracle if you do get in touch with him, you have to remind him or jog his memory about whats going on. He has no problem taking your money but a huge problem giving his clients the common courtesy of doing what hes paid to do. This is a honest review of what Im experiencing with Brian Burkett and Im sure Im not the only one experiencing these issues.

I had msr Burkett representing me in divorce case, a very easy one, my ex and I try to settle, Brain would not even answer my ex phone calls for months, my ex would be ready to settle he he would make excuses just to change me more I just wanted to be over with 6 years trying to be divorced, we gave my ex everything she wanted just so I can kip the home...after I gave my ex everything she wanted, it took over 6 months just to fired Brian, and then my ex took everything and sold the house and took half of the house... I honesty feel bad putting this in his review, he seems a nice guy, but i lost over $100.000 just for neglecting, I could of done better work my self.

Brian help me with a custody dispute. He seems to really care about his clients and is very knowledgeable about Family Law in San Diego. although he can be a little rough around the edges, Brian is very good at his job. He was able to clearly explain to me my right and reasonable outcomes that I could hope for, helping me reach a settlement out side of court which safe me a ton of cash in legal fees. Brain does not fit the stereotype a money hungry lawyer. hopefully, I will not need his services again, but if I did I would not think twice about giving him a call.
