I tried online dating, I really did. I went on reputable dating sites and I was still cat fished four times. That’s when I decided I needed a wing woman! I was nervous because I’d never worked with a professional matchmaker, but Amy J makes it a pleasure. We spent a good deal of time together and she listened to everything I said. She asked detailed questions about my history, what I was looking for now and what I hoped for in the future. Amy J is enthusiastic and she has a wonderful sense of humor, which is a must in dating situations! The coolest thing about Amy J is how she makes this feel very natural. Even dealing with covid! I’ve gone on one date and he had many of the qualities I asked for. I’m not fearful at all anymore and I’m very optimistic about the future. Bring it on!

My personal experience with IJL has been very positive! Obed worked with me and provided great opportunities, followed up every time with both email and phone calls. Always returned phone calls and was attentive to what i was looking for. Obed and IJL has made a challenging activity during Covid much easier than expected, highly recommended!

I have been using it’s just lunch to help guide me in the challenge of dating. During the pandemic things were so chaotic but Obed assured me that they were going to continue to have their clients safely in mind. Obed is always very charming and receptive to my needs. It’a just lunch is making me want to date again without me having to do the hard part of finding dates.

Bryan F has been great to work with, very responsive. I have just started and have seen excellent results so far. Even adapting to the changing Covid restrictions has just been a minor issue.

Amy R was very easy to work with. She kept in contact all the way up to the first Lunch date. She made a great match and was right on with my important values. Great job Amy

IJL is a scam. I understand the feeling of prestige, the dream of if I only spend a little money, I might get better quality dates. But thats just a dream. I was like that before, and after spending $4000, and waiting for 8 months. I think I earned the right to share my story. I went on a total of ... one (1) date. Its not because Im particularly picky or unattractive. Its the lack of communication, I can count with one hand the amount of emails I received from my match maker during the first 2 and half months that he was trying. After that, just no response or follow up at all.IJL apparently started putting up fake reviews everywhere on the internet recently, saying how good their services are. Well a bit of truth here: since March, theres no more in person dating. This is according to an email sent out by their CEO Melissa Brown, stating that theyll soon start a virtual dating service. Well guess what, theres so many reviews on consumeraffairs.com or BBB stating good services rendered between March and August 2020... thats just ridiculous. Obviously Im reviewing on IJL San Diego branch, so this will probably have minimum effect on their overall rating. But, I just hope I can warn as many people as possible of this shady business.

It has been very helpful in finding matches. I believe that I will find my soulmate.

My IJL experience with Amy J has been fantastic. She listens and cares about my success. IJL has a personal feel to it that makes it great. I cant speak highly enough of IJL and in particular my matchmaker Amy J.

Its Just Lunch is a great way to get our from behind your computer or your phone and meet someone face to face. Their team of Matchmakers do all of the work for you so all you have to do is show up and have a good time!

The dating coach took it personal when the match didnt work. Refuses to respond to email.

I am glad to add my one star to the mix. This company will take your money and give you the run around. After paying for this service 6 years ago and not being satisfied with their efforts then, I was contacted by them today. Seriously trying to sale me on their services again. Never again, will I be swindled by these types of companies.

Of course Covid has made it difficult. If you’re over 60 don’t bother spending the bucks on this company. They have no inventory of men interested in dating women over 60. They have very nice matchmakers but they are often replaced after a couple of months. You send an email and get no reply. Save your money ladies!

Do not do business with them. The guys that they want to match me with is nothing close to what I asked for they will take your money and not even care to find you a match that is even close to what you want.

Don’t waste your money. I’ve been with them for almost a year...one date and it was horrible. Poor communication, misleading contract and service is terrible. Twice I’ve driven over 80 miles for a date when match cancelled. I met with my attorney about seeking refund but contract is vague enough that it would cost me more to pursue. Look on consumer affairs website to see similar bad reviews.

After reading the Yelp andGoogle reviews of this service I am happy to add my 1 star review even though I really dont think they deserve one star. I have had nothing but a total lack of response to repeated requests for a profile, I was appalled at how they arbitrarily changed the profile information I gave them about the match I wanted and how they repeatedly had my residential area hundreds of miles away. The people who work for this service just seem like they are stupid and that they couldnt care less about their clients. The owner of this company who is apparently named Ms. Sara Darling, seemingly has no interest in how her company is being run, or should I say run into the ground. I posted a complaint on the Better Business Bureau site and found a great many complaints there, much like these on Yelp.I agree with the reviewers that IJL is a total ripoff. The fee they charge is so ridiculously high in relation to the service they give, and when they fail to fulfill their part of the agreement one must sign, there is no possibility of a refund, even thoiugh you didnt get what they legally agreed to provide. I absolutely do not recommend this service on any level. The person who signed me up was Mark (no last name), but working with him was a waste of my time as he accomplished absolutely nothing.

Total ripoff. Their sales people called me for months while I was pursuing a free dating website. I finally relented in august of 2016 and paid a very high fee. I didnt hear from them for three weeks once they got my $$$. I started calling them and finally they put me on a date. Roys. Russian girl who admitted she was a free member and didnt care one whit about me. Roys gave me the whole check (against IJL protocol). No feedback. I hounded them more and eventually got a second date. A nice lawyer with two young girls. I asked her if she had a time for a relationship and she said No. Why was I getting set up with losers? Ive never heard from IJL since. Dont waste your money.

Should have read the reviews first. You really don’t hear from them after they take your money.
