I came here to get the new Pronto card. They had one table obviously marked clearly to be the location to get the pronto card. They had two people handing out the cards and giving those that needed paperwork for a disabled pass the paperwork to to fill out BEFORE they got to the table also staffed by two people. Once at the table the transaction only took between 30 seconds and one minute to complete. All four staff members were polite and very helpful. Very efficient system to get pronto card.

The line was short when I came at 2:50pm on A Thursday. As I came in with my form filled out and ID ready, the processing was quick, including credit card payment and photo processing for the Compass Card. No complaints.

I had a good visit there because I lost my wallet on the bus and the driver found it and turned it in. Thank You driver for saving my wallet. This is the secound time I had to pick something up that was left on the bus and had to claim it at the transit store Lost And Found Dept of the MTS Transportation. These drivers never get the Kudos that they deserve. Thanks for the Men and Women that drive us safley threw out the county of San Diego. Again thanks to their hard work I have my Ids and financial bank cards becuse someone cared. Kudos 💛👮from,Edward Childers

One of my grips for this shop, is they are closed on Saturday. Hey, if you work, and cant get there during the week, your just out of luck! And the people who work there could at least pretend to like there jobs. Yes, I understand you work 8 hours a day, but most do, just try a smile once in a while.

Went in at lunch time last Friday to get a SDM Compass card. There was no one waiting on line, and went straight to the counter. The woman who helped me was smiling and courteous.Since I did my homework (filled out all the required reports from home) there was no unnecessary delay. Whole process took a little over five minutes.

Its been two yrs since Ive been here. Afraid to go.Their treatment towards disabled and poor people is so unconscionable. 3 years ago when I purchased my disabled Compass Card there was an older woman there who verbally abused me she talked to me in a screaming angry voice to stand up against the wall so she could take my picture. I remember that day like it was yesterday and I dont feel like purchasing my disabled Compass Card anymore over there. At least at Department of Motor Vehicles I can renew my California ID online why cant I do that online with the transit store card? This is giving me negative incentive to get a job so I can afford an adult bus pass or is it giving me negative incentive to stand up for better treatment at the transit store you be the judge. Please hire employees that will not verbally abuse customers not even disabled customers that is verbal abuse and they should be fired for that and thats discrimination against disabled people and people who dont have a lot of money! that womans behavior left a scar.

Dont buy the mts red backpack. No refunds and it lasted 3 days. Bottle water and paperwork. The drawstring is very poorly sewn so it will break and. Mts. wont budge credit at store or give back my limited income. I was fooled to buy this red bag. But I urge everyone do not buy it. The employees are rude and it smells like fish in there. Its a pain to them to help someone who is on a limited income and just Rob them.

The associates at The Transit Store at 12th and Imperial are all very friendly and extremely helpful; every single time that I have done business with them, they have always assisted me in a professional manner. As for individuals who become bellicose because they have to wait in line too long, or because someone makes a mistake when helping them? We are all only human and therefore far from perfect.People dont resist change - they resist being changed and happiness is the result of your decision to be happy. In regards to our bus drivers : Many of our Transit and MTS drivers have already had one career - a few have had two careers and when I say the latter, I mean that one has worked at another job for twenty years or longer and then retired.I have conversed with many drivers and most everyone of them has chosen their job as a transit bus driver because they really like it ; passing the training classes and tests is very difficult, including a CHP test.I have talked to retiired service men, several San Diego aerospace engineers, mechanics; e.g., drivers who have been business managers, worked for large chain stores, resrtaurants,a lawyer, another was a barber, a few had been truck drivers and the list goes on, as many come from all walks of life.I was a substitute school bus driver for The San Diego Unified School District during the integration period, which was one of our governments most incredibly expensive and also dismal failures in American history ; I believe that I have some sense of the incredible difficulties that a bus driver encounters, as I drove many different classes of school busses, including a transit sized bus ; I transported many types of children and adults too. Sharing our roads with some of THE most inconsiderate automobile drivers in America was often difficult, if not dangerous, as a number of automobile drivers believe that being caught behind a bus or a large truck impedes their way; its actually one of the safest places to be when you are on a congested freeway, as long as one doesnt tailgate. Driving can be an art except when one is in a hurry and exceeding the speed limit by 10 or 20 mph usually wont get you from point A to point B much faster however, it may get you a speeding ticket or into an accident. [ A seasoned San Diego driver wouldnt last more than a few hours if they lived within a state with the inclement weather conditions similar to the type that we had ; e.g., black ice, sleet, hail, frequent blizzards, roads covered with 3to5 of snow within half-a-day that had to be salted and graded constantly, gale force winds, rain storms that dumped as much as 3 to 4 of rain on the roads within less than a day and pea soup fog. San Diegans just dont know how to drive because they live in paradise! and have perfect weather conditions nearly all year.].In many cases I have had bus drivers ask me, if they needed to lower the ramp because I use a walker ; if I have a load of groceries on my walker, it does help me. My ongoing problem is the number of young people and even those who are older, who cant seem to read English and who sit in the blue signed handicapped/senior designated seating areas, even when there are plenty o other seats available. Our transit drivers have YOUR lives in their hands every single day and they are the best that we have, so instead of always complaining, try to be a little respectful to them and our senior citizens too!

A necessary evil.I had a problem with my Compass card that no one on the phone or the bus could figure out, so I had to come here. Turns out it (the card itself) was expired. Ive had mine so long it was before they started printing expiry dates, so I had no idea. I go to have my renewing monthly rate transferred to a new card and she does this and says everythings fine. I leave, go about my life for a week or so, then try to take a bus and its saying fare due: $5! Long story short: everything wasnt fine, she didnt transfer the renewal properly. Thankfully, the lady on the phone took care of it without me having to go back to the Transit Store with their- Lack of adequate seating- Long waits- Understaffed- Ridiculously limited hours- Lack of ability to fix a problem on the first try
