My friends and I rented the 8 person boat for a birthday and had a great time! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a bluetooth speaker already on board that were were able to use. No need to bring your own speaker. You are able to bring your own drinks which was great and they had a medium sized cooler located underneath one of the seats. You must have a designated driver during the cruise. We were able to take both a dip in the hot tub as well as into the bay which was awesome. Jason was a great, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. He welcomed us warmly and was so funny! Glad we were able to celebrate with Hot Tub Cruising!

AMAZING experience!! The staff were so helpful and you can tell they just wanted us to have a good time. Boat was more spacious than expected but we did have one less person then it could hold. Definitely a must do!

The whole experience was amazing! Boat was awesome and easy to operate, staff were very helpful. We are locals, but brought guests from out of town and all of us (including our kids) had an amazing time - highly recommend. We even saw sea lions!

James did a great job getting the boat ready, orientating our party, and launching us. Even though weather was less than ideal (actually rainy in San Diego!) our party had a great time and enjoyed the cruise.

It was an amazing experience! Carter was very kind and calm when he was teaching us how to drive the boat. He would constantly message us to make sure we were on a good spot. It was fairly easy to drive. There was a Bluetooth speaker we used to connect our phone for music. All 9 of us had so much fun! Will definitely come back and refer you guys to friends and family. 1000% worth it!!!

Omg!! Was this an experience!! Out of all the things I did while visiting San Diego this was the most memorable! We were bummed at first when I called that morning and found out there’s no grills or coolers on the boats anymore. Covid. Well we had already bought hamburgers and brats to grill. So we had to throw that out as we couldn’t take it back to Chicago with my us. And it was really hard to find a disposable cooler. After walking to a few more stores we found one. Thank greatness because we had beers that needed to be put on ice ASAP. But the lady I spoke with on the phone was so nice and apologetic about it. She was also really nice while trying to explain to me how to get to the dock. I’m sure she was sick of me calling. But I’d never know. When we got to the dock we were greeted by James. James boosted my birthday spirits and got us all excited for our boat ride. All while being very professional. He was nice, funny and guided us right out to bay. He was literally a phone call away! We had SOOOO much fun. 2 hours doesn’t seem like long but we kept checking the time because it felt like we were exceeding our limit. It was definitely worth it and I will do it again, and again! Such a fun and unique experience! My friends and I surprised our hubbys for Fathers Day and they were so stoked. The pontoon was awesome. The hot tub was clean and hot and ready to use. The boat was cute, clean, and in great shape. The gentleman who helped get us checked in and set up on the boat was very helpful, professional, and kind. Overall, we had a great experience and we are already planning our next day trip rental!

So much fun. Celebrated a birthday. Brought some snacks and our own drinks. No glass allowed. Even jumped off the boat and enjoyed ocean swim. Full orientation is provided before departure. You have someone in your group drive it - super easy. Just have stay in designated areas. Will definitely do again.

We had a great time and the boat was clean and in good working order. The hot tub is a fun novelty and is great to rinse off the salty water from the bay. Max speed is 5mph but the bay they let us drive in is also a max speed of 5 mph. They provide a very Limited range for travel.My two issues are that the dock meeting spot is not specific. We didnt know that we were meeting a guy on the dock with no signage, not even a company shirt or hat and none of the other vendors knew about them. They charged us a late fee of $100 even though I was at the final meeting spot ahead of the agreed time, plus he had told us to take our time. The tender that brought us into the marina was late to the meeting point yet charged us anyways. We added our tip on the front of the transaction.That was a mistake.

Have so much fun definitely recommend it! This is my second time going I really enjoy it. I hope they can extend the hours for a longer period of time. Overall we had a blast!

We had a great time! Highly recommend. From the initial interaction and instructions, the ease of getting us out on the water, the actual experience of having a hot tub on the boat, to the return-- we had a perfect day. Only wish we had booked for longer! Minor issue was the latch on the back door wasnt working great but we propped it closed and it worked just fine. The water was slightly chilly at first but after jumping in, its very refreshing and you get used to it. Hope everyone gets to experience as great a day as we did! Side note, if you plan to drink a lot or have refrigerated snacks, make sure to bring an extra cooler! I think the one on the boat fit about an 18-24 pack with ice. Thank you Hot Tub Cruisin!

What an incredible experience- from the beginning to end. The beginning starts with me calling and crossing my fingers for availability that same week.. Planning any sort of event during a pandemic is difficult, as the majority of us are facing in 2020. With new closures and restrictions, my initial plans were cancelled which left me scrambling to find something fun to do for my 29th birthday the weekend before. I researched, and read countless articles & reviews and within one review, I learned of a company in Mission Beach, CA called Hot Tub Cruisin. The pictures and raving reviews led me to call first thing Monday morning. Bri called me back not even a minute later, letting me know there was a last minute cancellation on my birthday, July 17, 2020. I immediately booked it. From that call through check-in, to hopping on the boat, Bris customer service was outstanding. She made us all feel welcomed, put us at ease and taught us how to navigate the boat, and had a wonderful friendly personality. The actual hot tub boat was so much fun! We rented the smaller out of the two available boats, for 2 hours. If possible, I would recommend booking as far in advance as possible and booking the max time, as youll find that you will not want to leave the fun. We all had such an incredible time, and I feel so fortunate that the pieces fell into place and I was able to celebrate my birthday in such an amazing way. Im happy to be able to leave my own raving review. Weve already started discussing when we can book another excursion. Thank you to Hot Tub Cruisin, cant wait until next time!

One of the BEST ways to celebrate anything!!! So fun and easy. You can play your own music, enjoy the relaxation of a hot tub and all the views of beautiful mission bay. Going in the evening provided fun in the sun, a beautiful sunset view and then a change in atmosphere in the evening under the lights. This experience would be perfect at anytime of day. I was in San Diego on vacation with 8 friends celebrating my Birthday. About a month prior to our trip we booked a Hot Tub Cruise for 9/17/20. We had a blast on the boat, had our own play list for the sound system, relaxed in the hot tub while sailing the bay, swam in the bay and the day was absolutely epic. Bree, our dock hostess, was so fun and awesome! So much fun! Looking forward to sailing again when we visit San Diego.

Such a fun experience! A group of us rented a hot tub cruise for a few hours on New Year’s Eve and it was an absolute blast! The staff helps you drive the boat to the middle of the bay where you anchor for a few hours and blast your own music and enjoy your beverages while relaxing in the hot tub and jumping in the water occasionally! We even saw fireworks! Super friendly staff who even let us stay out for an extra hour!

Perfect way to cruise the Bay. We had so much fun jumping into the bay and getting back into the hot tub to warm up again! The twinkle lights after sunset were a perfect touch. Loved every minute.

Avoid at all costs. This was our second time here and while the first time was fun, the second was unbelievably bad. Brie, a worker, falsely accused of damaging the boat after the power generator failed mid-cruise. She also threatened us when we tried to ask for extra time to make up for the power outage. There are alternatives to Hot Tub Cruisin and we suggest you explore those instead.

Taylor helped me make the reservation and was there on the day of the reservation. He was very friendly, but I had asked for the additional services of ice and coolers and propane to BBQ on the boat and It wasn’t until I had asked about it while we were going over safety for the boat that I was told these services weren’t being provided due to COVID. So I didn’t have food I could prepare on the boat. We had one of our own people drive the boat, which was fine but when I was being charged out I was charged a $45 concessionaire fee I wasn’t aware of. My tip was also taken off the boat fee and the additional fee. I just wish that I was given more detailed information so I could have planned accordingly. Overall it was a fun experience and everything was very clean.

Unprofessional company and awful customer service!! Had really looked forward to this and booked a hot tub cruise months in advance to celebrate my husband’s birthday, while we were visiting San Diego. However, ONE hour before we were supposed to be there they called to cancel my reservation because “the boat had been crashed on a sandbar and damaged by another group earlier that day and that they were just as disappointed as I was because they had to call more people and cancel for the rest of the week.”Since we were already in the area we rented a jet ski from a different vendor right next door to hot tub cruisin. When we got to the marina we saw the hot tub boat I had reserved bringing another group back with no issue at all. When they docked we heard that one of their employees had forgotten to charge the boat earlier, which is why we couldn’t take it out.Pretty upset that they lied and canceled only an hour before giving us very little time to adjust our plans. Very unprofessional service. Would not recommend to anyone.

Unique, relaxing experience! What a perfect way to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday! Choosing the time around sunset was perfect. So serene and peaceful out there, drifting about. The water in the hot tub was nice and hot. Bri, our deckhand, was as wonderful and helpful as the other reviews have mentioned. I had a fancy charcuterie board delivered as part of the surprise, and she had already brought it down to the boat when we arrived. Shout out to that superstar! Due to Covid, you must bring your own cooler, and you cannot use the grill on deck. I don’t think this info has been updated on the website. No biggie! We brought a small cooler with drinks. One thing I wish we had thought about sooner was standing up when a big wake came. These guys were skiing around us for a while, and we lost half the water because of it sloshing out afterwards! It was part of the experience, and pretty comical actually! Make sure your things you want kept dry are stowed properly! 😆 Book it now! What incredible memories we made. Thank you, Hot Tub Cruisin’!

We had a reservation for a group and this business was unprofessional and rude with regards to our cancelation due to a member of our part being exposed to COVID. They refused to refund our deposit knowing we are front line workers fighting in the pandemic and could be at risk for contracting COVID. I would not recommend a business who is willfully taking advantage of people especially front line workers fighting Americans during this pandemic.

Hot tub on a boat on the bay?! Oh, no you dint. Mmm hmm, yes, I did!Its crazy; its fun; and a good way to spend time with your friends. They have a small grill on the boat (a hot tub stuck in the middle of a pontoon), and one of the seats doubles as a cooler. Bring your snacks and sunscreen and enjoy three hours around the bay.While we ventured out I saw other water activities I needed to try such as the jet pack thingamajig, SUP, and SUP yoga. Man, I love this city!Tip: Parking in this area is a nightmare. If you cant find a spot, there is the lot right next to it, but also try the NEXT lot over from there and just take the short walk along the sidewalk.

Way more fun that I expected. Staff was great, very helpful.Very easy to operate boat, bays fun to swim in, hot tub is so nice after.Also we ended up on a night when they were watching a movie on the beach as an added bonus.

It was a great experience!! Our host was personable and the made the trip worth the price. We watched him as he prepared the boat for our departure and made sure everything was clean and sanitized for us and our guests. He traned us on the equipment and made sure our driver knew what to do. Gave his number in case of an emergency or just needed his help.
