We could not be more happy with our kitchen remodel. From our very first interaction in the early concept and planning stages thru the last finishing touches, we had a very positive experience. We have been living in our home for over 8 months after a complete remodel of a 1970s home into a modern contemprorary home with aview of a balanced indoor outdoor living space. Just got off the phone with them - just an FYI they told me right off the bat without knowing anything about the size or scope of my kitchen that their kitchen remodel work starts at a minimum of 75K so if your budget or scope is below that no need to check this company out. Their Houzz price range & averages are way off/inaccurate from that so dont trust that either. At least the woman was honest and I didnt waste time going into the showroom.

Jackson & Design built our Casita in the backyard They did a phenomenal job! It was a slow process to start with permits and all (why the 4 star), but when they saw the frustration my husband and I had, they held a meeting with the city, included us in it, and our work finally got started. When they started, there were workers there everyday, non-stop. It was built so quick, I couldnt believe. We will use them again for future remodeling needs because they are dependable.

Interviewed several design, remodel contractors for a whole condo remodel. Was most impressed with Jackson as what they had to offer. The remodel is recently finished & I remained impressed through out the whole process, had the pleasure of working with Jim Groen, architect & Bonnie, designer, both extremely professional & talented, they both stayed on top of the project until finish.All of the subs were reliable & courteous, everyone taking care to keep the inconvenience of the work at a minimum to the other residents in my building, I couldnt bee happier with the finished product & whole project. Jackson does a great job of communicating & following up. A good experience & quality job.

We attended their seminar and found it to be extremely informative and helpful as they included many tips and details regarding the remodeling process and what to look for when considering remodeling contractors. We were able to chat with Todd Jackson and Jim Groen at the seminar and decided to take it to the next step. Jim came to our house for the initial meeting and shared some wonderful ideas with us and listened carefully as we described our vision for our new living space. We then met Sol, our amazing and intuitive designer who, along with Jim, came up with an incredible design for us. It was a definite GO for us. And we were not disappointed! Having done a remodel previously, we were not looking forward to another. JDR took out all the headaches we experienced before. Their professionalism, creativeness and management of the project from beginning to end with minimal interference by us was a great experience and one we hope to do again with them.

Great company. The came in on time, under budget and the project came out fantastic.

I did an extensive condo remodel. Needed a designer to improve the small space kitchen for 2 people and flow and added a 3rd floor office, library, & exercise area loft within the vaulted ceiling area among other improvements. It was a difficult job with limited common area parking & need for trash removal. Hired JDR as heard they were excellent in small space design & construction. I was not disappointed! Pamela is an outstanding designer along with her assistant Jennifer who changed drawings while we were meeting so we could see them on paper rather than wait and have another meeting or call. This allowed for easier design & product decisions on our part. Arnold went with me to present to the HOA requesting approval on changes for roof penetrations & a new chimney location for my fireplace. Very happy with JDR’s design! Then, there was Joe, our construction project manager. In all remodels there are surprises when you are removing walls, adding a walk-in shower, removing a bathtub that requires rearranging plumbing for a new soak tub, etc. and Joe’s experience and problem solving skills, along with Pamela, saved time and money. I had to move out because of the work and Joe was in constant contact with updates and photos of progress. During construction, I believe Joe had my interest at heart and went beyond the call to make us happy. My sweetheart & I are enjoying my new condo. The JDR design-build team made it possible. My highest recommendation!

My husband and I grew up in Do it your self type families. We have learned a very important lesson.We can do things ourselves and do it over and over until one of us gives up or we can Call JDR and do it right the first time. It took 3 months to complete our new kitchen and both of us would do it again in a heart beat. They spoiled us. Phone calls and texts were answered with in minutes every time. They were always listening to our needs or wants. I asked for The WOW factor Bonnie gave us more WOW than anyone would expect. Our neighbors are still in shock. There is nothing I would change and I truly feel they are family to us now. This was the best decision we have ever made!

My wife and I found JDR online and went with their Yelp reputation as a guide. We were looking to remodel a house we just bought and wanted an entirely in-house design and build team to handle the project. After consulting with other companies, we were ultimately drawn to JDR because of their attractive showroom and attention to our inquiry. We are a young couple and other companies didnt take our needs very seriously thinking we wouldnt have much business to offer, but JDR treated us like we were their most important client. Todd Jackson always greeted us with a smile and his designer, Sol-Quintana Wagner was spot on with her ideas and renderings for our future remodel. We signed the contract a week later and they began working on our home as if we were the first in line. Less than six months later we were moving into the house of our dreams and they still keep in touch with us to make sure everything is looking good and their craftsmanship is lifetime quality. We recently got published in San Diego magazine for their work and we have received nothing but compliments on our house. 6 out of 5 stars for JDR.
