They do a great job. They are consistently honest, often telling me I don’t need a repair that I think I need.In the past my wife has taken cars there for them to evaluate before purchasing, and they’ve been super helpful.On more than one occasion, they’ve had to do a little more than expected to fix the car, and haven’t charged me more. They honored their estimate.I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Definitely trustworthy, I had never gone until now, they said the catalytic converter needed to be replaced in my car but it was most likely covered under my warranty. Instead of spending tons of money, they steered me in the right direction. Thanks!

I highly, highly recommend Thaos as the go-to auto repair shop in San Diego. I am not someone who typically leaves reviews, but sometimes a review is warranted when the quality of work is high enough. I had very serious engine issues occurring and took the vehicle to Thaos for a quote. I was not pushed or sold to in any way, shape, or form and was provided with (brutally) honest options and information about the condition of my car. Then hearing that I still needed to get the car smog tested, I was told to come back after letting everything reset so they can test it and make sure I dont waste money on a premature smog test . I could tell by the whole experience that they operate by the book and very much care about the relationship with customers. This was my first experience with Thao, but as I told their team - they are now my car guys for anything car related moving forward. I highly, highly recommend.

Right headlight went off and Im telling them that I know its my fuse but can you just look at the Fuse and the lady says thats $65 to check it. I left Ill get it checked some where else smh. They just lost easy money and customer.Update: went to Sam Lee auto repair and they looked at it and told me what to do and didnt cost me a thing. I highly recommend Sam Lee to anyone and not this shop.

My family has been going to Thao for about 15 years. Lee and his people are very courteous and very helpful and their prices are excellent. They have worked on our family cars ranging from Mercedes to a 1972 Ford Pickup and all makes and models in between. I highly recommend Thao Auto Repair for any and all car needs.
