SDAS was great when we needed someone to come remove asbestos 9x9 tiles throughout our entire home. I spoke to Shawn and told him we needed to schedule the removal that week and get clearance before the weekend and his team delivered! I shopped around the job to two other companies and they could not beat the price. The work was done quickly. The tech told me each day by text when they were arriving and leaving. Everything was clean and ready to go for our new flooring and we stayed on schedule. Very happy with the service, price, and the work.
I’m a Comfort Advisor for Precision Temperature, and this is my first time using San Diego Abatement Services. I got a quote in less than 5 minutes and was able to have their tech on site within a week. My client said the tech was fast, knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself and wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anyone else. I look forward to our continued relationship!
Scheduling and admin services are haphazard. No notice is given to you as to when workers will show up to your property. Multiple follow-up calls had to be made to discover when work was scheduled for. Job itself was quick, but unfinished - texture was not done on several areas (pictures were provided) of the home and when called to schedule to finalize service, Marc the estimator, started the call with you must be mistaken there is nothing wrong and when asked why the texture is the remainder of the home is so different he began to escalate his tone and talk over me and eventually aggressively uttering a loud SHUSH. This company is beyond unprofessional. From the scheduling, to receiving the wrong invoice with $600 in excess of contract, to being shushed on a phone call. The job remains unfinished. They were the cheapest in town and I certainly know why. I do not recommend this company.Cherry on top: The following morning, after what I described above, I got a call at 8am from Shawn the owner and he started the phone call with: “Hi I am not good at all, I am in combat mode so I am going to try to keep it cool.” Who starts a call like that and how can it be productive or positive?REVIEW UPDATE: After the aforementioned, no apology was issues but a compromise reached where the owner offered to paint my place for free stating that I like my customer to be happy. The workers came and patched up the old job and painted the ceiling. It looks good and I am giving them 3 stars v. 1 star I had initially.
Had our popcorn ceiling removed. They did a pretty go job on that part.. Some white stuff left around and scrapes here and there on the walls. So like a 4/5 for that. However, Im rating them a 2 because they took down our fans and light fixtures and just left them. When I called to see if they were going to come and put them back up they stated that they arent electricians and so they can only take light fixtures down and cant put them back up. Also, they dont do painting:-/
When my landlord removed the asbestos from my building without letting me know in advance, I called this company for a second opinion. The person I spoke to was incredibly knowledgeable and patient--even though it was clear that there was unlikely to be any business forthcoming. Based on this experience alone, I would recommend this company.
San Diego Abatement removed the asbestos popcorn ceilings from our property as well as old asbestos glue in our kitchen. The process for the quote and the contract was simple and straightforward. The people who worked on our home were polite and professional and left our home spot-free. My only wishes are for more communication around the third party air clearance test and an easier way to pay online. But Kelsey and Shawn were great to work with! You might be able to find a cheaper service elsewhere, but the results for SD Abatement were good.
Fast and efficient, friendly, professional and very fairly priced for whats out there! In and out in five days and sent me photos of the completed job. Since I live out of town, this was added peace of mind. Thank you so much!
Got all the popcorn removed in my house. This was one of two quotes I received on the popcorn, but I went with SD Abatement because they are certified to remove abestos material and with my old house there was bound to be abestos in the ceiling. I wanted the job done right and these are the guys to do it.The crew was courteous, thorough, and friendly. Everything was put right back to place after the removal, texture, prime, and paint. Oswaldo was the crew leader and he was nice enough to give me a tour midway through the project to show me that everything was going as planned.Estimated job start and completion dates were spot on. They told me they would start on Monday and finish in a week and a half, and guess what? They did.Kelsey, Veronica, and Shawn answered all my questions. I had a (whole) lot of questions to a point of annoying, but they answered everything in a timely matter by email and phone. The price they estimated for me was the price I paid at the project completion. There were no surprises. Im so glad because I absolutely hate surprises. I had a tight budget and it gave me much less stress knowing the exact dollar amount I was responsible for.Thank you for making my ceiling look fantastic!
We had some asbestos tiling removed from our garage and they did a great job. Area was properly sealed and signs were posted to keep people out. Very quick turnaround from getting a quote to doing the work which was nice as well since we were on a short timeline
Working with San Diego Abatement was a very smooth and easy experience. They took the initiative to get the job done in a timely manner and their communication was excellent. The best contractor weve ever worked with. We are hoping to have them do another construction job for us in the future.
Fast, friendly service. Techs showed up during the window given and performed work quickly. Both techs were friendly and explained what they would be doing so I can feel safe being in my house. Thanks SDAS!
Complete service package including removal, drying and certifying. Makes it lot easier for homeowner. The job was done quick and perfection. I had many conversation with Shawn even after the service. He was very knowledgeable and willing to help.
So, I am following up on a previous comment which I provided a 1 star because only half of the asbestos was removed. In follow-up, they reached out the same day and rectified it by the next business day (I informed them on a Friday, and they sent someone out Monday morning). I am pleased with the follow-up customer service and they didnt charge me an extra fee for them to come back out to fix the issue. Faye was absolutely pleasant with customer service and Shawn emailed back asap (Friday at 8pm) so ti lets me know they took the inquiry quite serious. :) I am happy with how they addressed the error from earlier. I chose them initially because of their customer service (I received a same quote cost from another competitor) but liked the phone service and the coordination and their availability when answering questions. I hope this review is helpful for you all.
This is the third time we have used San Diego Painting. The first time, they remodeled most of our new home with great suggestions from Sean. The next time they worked with us was to repair a section of our home damaged by a slab leak. We were leaving on a trip the first day of the work and we gave Sean a key to our home. When we returned you couldnt tell that there had been any damage at all. This time, we wanted to have our carpeting removed and almost matching tile installed. Again we left the key. When we returned, it was done to our satisfaction and everything was back in place. We would highly recommend Sean and his Company and very reliable staff.
This is a great company!!! Just used them for ceiling popcorn removal and I couldnt be happier. Their estimate was fair and they stuck to it. The workers were very polite and professional and they finished an hour early and left my place looking great! I will use them again for the other 2 rooms that need to be done. I highly recommend them!
By far the best asbestos abatement company in San Diego. I own a construction company and we run into asbestos every other week it seems like. I dont know what I would do without them. They have saved my butt on numerous occasions.
San Diego Abatement Services arrived as scheduled and went right to work. The kitchen was sealed off from the rest of the house so there was no possibility of Asbestos fibers contaminating the house. Of course, the asbestos was bound in a tar like substance commonly found with linoleum products from the 1950s. So the asbestos was not in danger of being air borne. The men completed their work and cleaned up the kitchen as well as hauling away all the waste products. It was a straight forward operation with no surprises. I would recommend this company.
Shawn explained the process well. When I received the quote via email I had a couple of questions. Faye answered them in a way the reaffirmed I had made the right choice going with SDAS. The job sight was left clean and my expectations were fully met.
Easy to work with. Friendly staff, everyone, from the receptionist to the quote person to the in-home workers. While I cant say having asbestos in the house was a pleasure, SD Abatement Services made it an easy process. And now we can finally install our flooring....
When my grandfather died, and my grandmother moved into a residential care facility I inherited their home of 50 years. While they have maintained it well there was some definite issues. Something seemed off about the ceiling, so I contacted my friend who knows more about this stuff then I do. He came by and said it looked like asbestos, and terrified I called San Diego Abatement services. Faye definitely seemed to have a grip on things and sent a crew out…who was very professional and respectful. Not only did the ceiling look better than ever, but now I was no longer afraid of the asbestos dangers. I guess the next step now is to turn this 20th century time capsule into a 21st modern oasis.
My only frustration about a project that included removing about 2300 square feet of 10% asbestos interior ceilings plus adding some can lights and painting one bedroom and a hallway, including trim, was that the job took three weeks instead of a week and a half. Otherwise I was well pleased.
This team takes care of business. SDA does great work, is quick, and has a great reputation with any inspectors. They should be your first call for any asbestos projects.
Excellent company. They are very resonable and stuck to there estimate. Workers are polite, punctual and thorough. I will definately use this company again. JR
Great pre-sales service, competitive price, professional job - overall great!
Quick and easy. Not as expensive as I thought. Thx
These guys do great work. They are the best asbestos removal company in San Diego.
They did a fine job for us, were prompt and efficient.
They worked really hard to get our job done in one day (even with air clearance) so that we could continue moving over the weekend! A pleasure to work with - Id use them again for future jobs
This company has poor service and has serious problems communicating to each other and to customers.I had them remove the popcorn from my ceiling. The first day they were supposed to come at 8:30, at 9 I called them to find out why they werent here yet and they said they had to drive to Chula Vista to pick up machinery (I live in Mission Valley) and they didnt know when they would get there - extremely poor planning on their part. Meanwhile I am sitting around late for work waiting for them. I had to reschedule because I couldnt wait around all day for them. The next day they come on time, but then inform me that some guy has to come another day to finish the texturing of the ceiling. No one had told me this and it would require me to take even more time off of work to let the worker in and out of my apartment. I spoke to Sean, who I am assuming is the boss, about my dissatisfaction, and he was argumentative. His secretary failed to tell him I was taking time off of work to let the workers in and out of my apartment, and he tried to blame the miscommunication on me. The ceilings came out fine, but due to the horrible service I will not be using them again.
Tect was very polite and seem to know what his duties were
Great company, wonderful experience working with them.
Excellent service with prompt execution.
I needed them asap, and they came through. Thanks.
Very responsive.
