Overall, great experience. Semper Solaris has top notch customer service. If you have an issue, they will follow up with you every day until it is resolved.Professional install, as always with Semper. A team even came out and painted my power duct to match my house. They matched the paint color on their own! They also came out and replaced any roof tiles that were damaged during install.It was very satisfying experience. Highly recommend!

The staff of Semper Solaris is exceptional. Their work is through and complete. They are personable and follow through on the project. However it took an inordinate length of time to complete the project partly because of delays by Tesla. The first Tesla batter was defective but the second worked well. Yesterday was the first time SDG&E turned off our electricity and our new batteries picked up the load with no problem. However I now cant get a Tesla report on my tablet to see how that change over showed on the site. So I will be contacting Semper.

After searching & contemplating for years to have a Solar installed, we finally decided to get one. We started to signed the contract in late June 2021 & 5 weeks later the system is up & running. I had a very positive experience with Semper Solaris and would enthusiastically recommend using them for your solar energy needs. Very informed, active, and focussed on keeping me updated on the progress of my project. Always asked for feedback. Quickly answered my calls and had answers. The project came through quicker than expected. It was obvious SDG&E and local inspectors were familiar with them and had confidence in their work. Well trained work once at every level.

Overall, they deliver a quality product (minisplit HVAC) and follow honest business protocol. Joshua Daguman may be the most patient, conscientious salesman in the whole world, and I would have given up if not for him. We are old and got a little frustrated with the digital contract, which worked inconsistently even when Semper Solaris staff came to our home and literally walked my wife through each step. If you have options (which we did not b/c we were visiting from out of town), use a desk top computer, not a phone for Semper Solaris’ legal paperwork.The workmen arrived on time and worked persistently and cooperatively the entire day for 2 - 3 days. The two workmen who installed our system knew exactly what they were doing, kept organized, and they left the work site the same cleanliness or better than they found it. The business office needs improvement. I stopped by to make payment in full, and the young men at the counter seemed clueless at best and rude at worst. I left wondering if I had gotten the wrong address and just left cash with scammers. The building had no permanent signage or business cards, at least not on the day at the site I visited. Fortunately, I got a zero balance statement by email and regular mail, so it was the right place, and it was authentic. I like the overall results, and Joshua, if he is still there, is top notch.

I had been considering solar for a long time, but when I got quotes from other companies the math never ended up working out because my electric bill wasnt very high. After a dealing with a couple hot Clairemont summers and a leak in my roof I knew it was time to invest in A/C and a new roof. I reached out to Semper Solaris because I wanted someone that could do it all. Genevieve (my sales rep and primary contact in the project) walked through my options and I was pleasantly surprised the price with including A/C, roof and solar. I knew people that paid about the same amount for just solar.Once I reached out to Genevieve that I wanted to move forward with the project I was sent a bunch of docusigns and the project started in no time. I got A/C installed in about a week and then it took about a month for my roof and solar permits to get approved. I started my project in April and I had A/C new roof and solar well before June. Definitely exceeded my expectations considering I couldnt even get a roofing company to get me a bid for months. I even changed my roof color the day before my roof got installed. I had Genevieve and her team scramble to find the new color and they came through! Im so happy they did, the solar panels blend in with the darker roof color just like I wanted.Now I just cant wait for this may gray to burn off so I can start cranking my A/C for pennies!

Just completed our Tesla Solar Battery purchase and installation project with Semper. We qualified for, and received, the SGIP subsidy. Overall, the project went smoothly. They kept in contact at each step and made sure we were satisfied. Semper Solaris was great! We had 2 Tesla batteries installed. They communicated constantly and were efficient even between the different departments. They did all the paperwork which made it effortless. The crews were professional and always cleaned up everything. They had to put in an entirely new panel which turned out great. My husband is addicted to the APP, he constantly looks at the batteries usage! I highly recommend Semper Solaris!!

Semper Solaris was recommended by my realtor when I bought my new house. But I also checked reviews of other companies and got another competing bid to make sure I was getting a good value. Semper Solaris was not only substantially cheaper, but they were VERY responsive through the entire process. Joshua D gave was able to review my energy usage and provide a quote for a system that was very affordable. They walked me through the process, including arranging a solar loan through a local lender. The design process was quick and easy and they provided the details for the HOA to allow for a quick approval. Once all the approvals were in place (county permits were approved within days of HOA approval), the installation was done on the following Monday morning. They installed a large system in 1 morning! The system was inspected and cleared the next day and SDG&E approved it to operate in less than a week. The Semper Solaris team kept me informed through the entire process with easy communication and progress milestone updates. Highly recommended!

Semper Solaris is a truly great company with very friendly and knowledgeable people. We started the solar panel process in April 2021 and where up and running by July 2021. I cannot say that will be the case for other homes since the company does inform you that the process is lengthy and can take approximately 6 months between permits, installation and permission to operate (PTO) from the electric company. I do want to say that Im glad my wife steered me towards Semper Solaris and away from another solar company that claims they are the #1 Solar Provider, because that company seems to sub-contract their solar panel installations which might result in a hit and miss as I have learned from our neighbors. We started off our process in Semper Solaris with Roland who was very helpful in finding what we needed for our home, so hats off to him and all the Semper Solaris team, a company that by the way is run and worked by veterans...so I guess thats why things turned out the way they did for us.

Semper was my choice for solar after reviewing about 5 others and getting proposals from 3. The military thing got to me, even though I never served. I was kept informed all the way through the installation process. My lead installer, Trevor, was very responsive and personable. He even went the extra mile to paint the exposed piping to match my houses color scheme. Highly recommended.

A friend recommended Semper Solaris even though they did not use them. That made me at least see what this company had to offer. I called at least 6 different companies. Semper gave me the best feeling after doing research online and the type of system I wanted. Work was done fast and they took the time to make sure my roofing tile was replaced as they were installing the panels. We financed through Wheelhouse Credit Union with the ability to put the tax credit back into the loan for a lower payment. From start to finish installation took only a few days total. The longest part was after the installation to get the system turned on by SDG&E (about 10 days). Excellent company, attention to detail, If I decide to add more panels later I will use this company again. Highly recommend!

After researching different solar companies over several years, we selected Semper Solaris primarily due to their Energy Consultant, Roland Obana.I dont often write favorable reviews; however, this one is much deserved. Roland is extremely knowledgeable about Sempers systems and solar energy in general. He has excellent communication skills and is able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people like us. He answered every question we had with more than sufficient detail which garnered our trust. He isnt the typical solar salesman. He did not push hard to close the deal. Instead, he provided us with the information we needed in order to make an informed decision. Even after we selected Semper Solaris, Roland continued to be involved in the whole process. He is an extremely responsive and results-oriented professional.We have had our system for over a month now and we couldnt be happier. We only wish we hadnt wasted so much time in making our decision.

I used them because they offered roof, solar, and air conditioning all together. The people were great, the prices were competitive. They handle every part of the process, the only thing I had to do was pay, and be present for a few inspections. Really pleased. And nice and cool with my new AC.

We received four estimates. One company would not take on our project because it was on a clay tile roof, one company wouldnt work with our picture frame design. Yes, Semper Solaris is as GOOD as it gets! We had been considering solar for quite some time and had, had presentations by at least 3 or 4 other companies. Earlier this year, a good friend of ours introduced us to Semper Solaris as their company for the system they have had for over a year and they couldnt recommend them more highly.We contacted their salesperson Hayden Nix and he was the most knowledgeable of any that we had seen or spoken to. He took time to make sure all my questions were answered and went out of his way to help me understand why an American made Sunpower system while not the least expensive is the best for quality, reliability and return on investment.Like any large scale project we had a few bumps along the way, however everyone at Semper we dealt with was excellent, (true 5 star service) and their goal was to make sure we were happy in all aspects of the project from start to completion. The whole experience from new roof to solar installation went smoothly. The whole crew was great. They were all polite and right on time. The only thing I can complain about, which is not serious, is the communication between each crew could have been better. One crew didnt realize an aspect of something they did, might affect the way the next crew coming in. All in all, it was was a good plan that came together well. Had an “excellent” experience installing Tesla Batteries and a series of new service panels working with Semper Solaris. :)Their entire process is broken down into “sequential camps,” where you deal with different units in a chronological fashion.So because that was my experience I’d like to take a moment and craft this review it in a similar manner.1) Sales: Michael Gault = Excellent!The guy is on top of his game and always quick to return a call or a text message no matter when or where we were in the process. With his electrician knowledge and background, he’s able to talk the walk And keep the entire project efficient and high-touch.2) Electricians: Richard = Excellent!Richard symphonically ran a two main team to get the new panel installed all the wiring redone and the whole brain of the operation installed. He is easy to communicate with has a great demeanor is very skilled at his trade and has an eye for design, which was important to me. There was a moment where I preferred one brand of panel versus another and even though either would’ve worked, richard went the extra mile to source the brand a preferred and made it happen. He and his partner did a beautiful job on the design of the array, too, and even came back afterwords to perfect a few items that a typical tech would’ve probably just left alone. That’s attention to detail!3) Battery Installers: (Can’t recall names /:) = Excellent!This was another two or three men team that came in to set up all the batteries and run the conduit over to the new panel. They were great! They worked with me to make sure the location and installation was to my liking and were very accommodating to my wishes and easy to communicate with.4) Customer Service: Stacy = Excellent! One of the benefits of working with a larger company like semper is that they have the resources and manpower to make sure that they are delivering a great customer experience. Like with any big projects, some things can go awry. I had an issue with the stucco and sheet rock detail of the work and when I brought it up to Stacey she had a guy out at my house the next morning at 8 AM to fix everything and clean everything up to my standard and satisfaction. She was also great to give me calls and text messages on heads up for different stages of the installation process who would be at my house at what time, etc.

After comparing several solar companies, we decided on Semper Solaris because of affordability and locality. We are so happy we did. Dexter (operations) and Billie (project manager) were awesome and kept us informed almost daily on the status of our project or any questions we had. Our electrical panel upgrade and solar installation were done quickly and efficiently (about half a day each). Billie and Lucia followed up afterwards to make sure we were satisfied with the product, app and service and to make sure we had everything we needed for our tax credit. Semper always treated us as a valued customer and seemed willing to help with any questions/issues in the future. We would highly recommend working with Semper Solaris.

Great experiences with Semper Solaris from beginning to end for my Tesla battery installation. Sue Champagne helped me understand options, processes, costs, rebates, timelines and interactions with SGIP, SDG&E and San Diego County. She was incredibly responsive and always got back to my email or phone requests almost immediately. I purchased a pair of Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries and their Gateway controller which was designed and integrated into my existing 48+ PV array and Generac generator backup system. Thanks to Tony Molek and Eduardo Avilez and team I ended up with a fully integrated and automated system, in spite of the fact that my generator was swapped out for a larger unit and automated transfer switch just a few weeks prior to the Tesla installation. During the installation Semper showed me and explained everything they were doing, answered questions, and made some needed design and implementation changes on the spot to provide me with a fully automated and extremely flexible system. Also, the communications options provided by the gateway are incredible. It supports connections for management via wifi, ethernet and cellular and offers cloud based monitoring as well. Overall, Semper was professional, timely and responsive to all my projects needs. I recommend them highly!Final thoughts ... they kept me updated regularly by telephone and email every step of the way of this multi-step multi-month project. Their project management and follow through customer communications efforts demonstrated their team approach, flexibility to my needs, and how I was a member/stakeholder in their efforts and this was very much appreciated.!

We recommend Semper Solaris because they are veteran friendly and employ mostly veteran associated personnel. They had the right price and explained everything with no pressure to buy. I am a disabled Veteran and my wife is a 24/7 caregiver. The sales person explained in detail so both of us understood the process and the timing involved. Everyone that worked on our installation was timely, informative and like family – the good kind! Our timing was at the end of 2019 where everyone was trying to capture Tax credits. The communication was a bit slow in the beginning but Semper hired a delightful person that quickly eliminated that problem. We liked their placement of the panels showing nothing from the street view. Theft is on the rise in our area. Installing solar is a very complex procedure getting permits from HOA, SDGE and inspections but Semper Solaris emailed with visuals showing us each step and who, what, when, and where they were in the process and making sure it was hooked up to our Wi-Fi. It’s nice to be able to touch my phone app and see how the system is doing and producing. We even got a call from Semper Solaris a month after installation saying there was an issue with a panel and they scheduled another nice person to come and fix the issue at no cost. The company was above and beyond for this veteran and his wife.

Semper Solaris makes a genuine effort to install your solar system the way you want it, provided you are proactive in communicating your preferences at each stage of the process. I would give 5 stars except that my project was delayed two months due to the battery storage system being back-ordered by the manufacturer (Tesla). Now that its installed, it works great and we only need to rely on the grid when theres a string of cloudy days or if we use our electric vehicle more than usual.

Thanks to Roland and the great team at Semper Solaris! From start to finish everything went smoothly and we were off and running with a new roof, solar and AC system months sooner than any of their competitors had quoted and all at a better price!

As always, I had a superior experience with Semper Solaris. My entire system went down, which we found out later was the software and firmware of the inverter. I monitor the system regularly thanks to the excellent Solar Edge app. I saw within 2 hrs that the system had just stopped producing in the middle of a bright, sunny day, Nov 5 - and immediately contacted Semper Solaris. Jennifer expertly took down the issue and said Id be contacted within three work days. I was actually contacted within 1 work day - 72 hours later - by Ellen J. She was unable to connect with me immediately - so left me a vm and then sent me a email, and then even called me back within a hour or so. Not only was she wonderfully persistent but just a delightful person to work with. She got me the first available appointment and within days, Albert and his assistant were out to replace the entire boxes. Albert was very friendly, arrived before scheduled - which made me very happy - having called ahead to alert me, and demonstrated considerable expertise. Both men were very considerate of our property and keep us totally informed on progress - as it was a major repair and took many hours. The only downside was their difficulty in connecting with Solar Edge - who due to lack of coordination on their part wasted Alberts time. He persisted and got the software aligned and my app is once again working perfectly. I give high marks to the entire Semper Solaris team for a job well done! We had bids for our solar panels from other companies that were lower - but I knew I wanted a solid, reliable company that was going to be there when I needed them. So I went with them two years ago, as they are the largest in SD and not only was the installation flawless, and done with the least trouble, but now that I have had a major problem that was so brilliantly handled - it proves the wisdom of our decision to go with Semper Solaris. I strongly recommend them.

The installation went flawless and Michael and his team were able to answer any questions we had regarding the how, when, and wheres.The installation team was very careful in making sure the conduit runs and equipment was visually minimal. The guys really did a fantastic job. While the system was installed i December of 2017, we have not been able to realize the full potential yet of our solar system, I am confidant that it will produce more than we need in the upcoming summer months.

We are very please with everything Solaris did for us.We are producing our own electricity and we get to save it for the times our cities power goes out, which is often. We have strong winds in our area so they tend to cut the power often. We’re extremely grateful to now have power during these times!

We had been thinking about getting solar for some time and finally decided to take the plunge. It did not hurt that we will be getting a tax credit as well! The entire process from start to finish was phenomenal! Genevieve, who was the sales person, was always prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable about the company and the product. She always, and I mean always, replied to our emails and answered all of our questions. Once we signed, the team at Semper Solaris were always communicating and providing status as to what was going to happen next and when. A big thanks to Veronica and Vinny, Cesar, Mark. They are awesome. It was just a pleasant experience from start to end. The actual solar installation took one day! The only lengthy wait we had was SDGE which is out of the hands of any solar company and the customer. Overall, excellent customer service to everyone we interacted with, especially Genevieve and Billie! Thank you. We are now enjoying our solar system!

I wasnt sure that solar made sense for me as I use little electricity. However, Joshua took the time to show me how it could save me money. It is a small system, but is easily expandable if demand increases. The installation guys were quick and efficient, getting it done in about a half day. Had a smaller unit installed and thought they would reject me cause probably not worth it. they didnt and love my 6.00 electric bill. From the first day meeting with the sales woman to the final product delivery/turn on, I had nothing but a very professional and informative experience with this company. I dont know that I got the cheapest installation, BUT I do know that I got the most professional installation out there. I was kept abreast of all phases of the process via email/texting. There were no hidden fees/charges and the installation itself was done in less then a day. The installers showed up early AM, introduced themselves to my wife and myself and then 5 hours later they had finished the installation and cleaned up the area as if they were never there. I am very pleased with their work and their interaction - keeping me informed throughout the process. 5plus stars.

Semper Solaris did a great job From the beginning to the end with a great installation. Billie keep me informed from setting up the installation to pto. Sells person Roland O. has been helpful since the start - like all people he is a busy person however at the end of the day he makes sure he reaches out to cover my doubts and questions. I honestly can not ask for anything more.I truly do appreciate their interest in making sure the customer is 100% happy and taken care of.

My wife and cant be more pleased. From the original meeting, Rhami explained it all, worked up the quote and was available for questions along the way. All the other Semper Solaris employees that came by to do their part of the work were great too. It was much less expensive than we originally expected and got done quicker than estimated. It really was five stars for us.

The crew at Semper Solaris where amazing. The first initial meeting with Genevieve was where we got all the info on how the install would go and it went just as planned. The office staff Veronica and Vinney where also very informative on what was going on and where we would be week by week. Our system was installed in 6 weeks from meeting with Genevieve. We have had our solar system that was installed by Semper Solaris a little over a year ago. Imagine our thrill when our electric bill for the year was $34 total. Genevieve was our representative and was exceptional in her communications and follow up. Add that to the fact that we had a roof leak (not due to Semper) and since we were a Semper customer, they sent someone to look at the roof that day and it was fixed within a week. This was during the rainy season when many others could not get even a call back for weeks. This was thanks to Genevieve who responded to me when she was on maternity leave!We spoke to several solar providers and ultimately chose Semper for their pricing, warranties and customer service. We couldnt be happier with the Semper team and Genevieve.

Semper Solariss customerr service and project management is best in class. Project design, permitting, installation and inspection was flawless.

There was some miscommunication between the project manager and the installation crew which could have resulted in the exact opposite installation of what I had asked, but once I contacted our project manager, it was quickly sorted. As with any household project its important to be plugged into the process as much as possible to prevent that. Install is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Im enjoying my SDG&E bill for the first time in decades!

I received several quotes from several companies. I was lucky enough to meet with Genevieve Johnson with Semper and Im so glad I did! She was so incredibly knowledgeable. She was not a pushy sales woman but more of an educator. She honestly just wanted us to know everything possible to make an educated decision from there whether that was with Semper or not. The company we were originally going for was cheaper but encouraged us to install fewer panels. Genevieve was more expensive but educated us on why the additional panels were necessary. Now we are one year later and let me tell you... Genevieve was SPOT ON with her calculations! We settled up at the end of the year with the power company and we only owed $70. INCREDIBLY accurate! Had we gone with the other company, we would have owed several hundred dollars!Semper isnt necessarily the cheapest but I truly believe you get what you pay for. Their products are top notch and their customer service is wonderful from Veronica to Vinny. Do yourself a favor and go with Semper. We have had ZERO problems. 5 stars all the way! Thank you.

Our family had debated solar for some time. My wife and I received quotes from 3 solar companies with Semper Solaris being the last company. They all basically said almost the same thing and prices varied on brands and quantities of panels. Our sales rep, Mark Ivory, was very knowledgeable of the entire process, easy to speak with and honest about the number of panels we needed. The 2 prior companies had provided us quotes on panels that were not as good as expected which drove us to the ultimately purchasing them from Semper Solaris. I especially liked the idea I would be getting the top of the line Panasonic Panels (USA made) and that Semper Solaris was a premier installer of Panasonic Panels.The entire process from signing of the contract to receiving Permission to Operate (PTO), 10 weeks, was exceptional. The Installation Coordinator, foreman, and crew were professional, timely, and the installation was impeccable and completed in one-day. Everything was neat, perfectly installed with no items broken, and everything was cleaned up. Billie Yako kept us informed during every step of the proceed.On October 30, 2018 we received the OK to turn on our system from SDGE. Since then, we have been contacted several times to follow up on my experience to see if I needed any assistance in monitoring our system. They walked us through the SolarEdge monitoring app so that we can monitor and understand our own system. We have nothing but great things to say about Semper Solaris.As a retired 30-year Navy Veteran, Im thankful and grateful that a veteran owned company employs other veterans as myself and are doing exceptional work. Excellent jobs. We have had them install solar panels (electric bill less than $50 for 5 years) and central A/C and a Tesla powerwall this year. Installation has always been well planned and executed. Semper Solaris has a good team.

From start to finish everyone I dealt with at Semper Solaris were professional. Getting solar panels is a long process but they kept me updated with every move. Installation team did a great job and left no mess behind. I would recommend them to anyone.

The company got my business for a few different reasons. 1. Theyre quote was 10K less than the nearest competitor while using better equipment. They are a platinum Owens Corning roof installer. 2. Because of their status with Owens Corning, the warranty is better. 3. Veteran owned. Important to a vet like me. They should get three stars but they did end up doing good work and their communication is very good. The roof project was a nightmare from the start. These roofers were NOT employees. They were sub contracted out. Thats not what we were told during sales. The roofers were a mess. Literally and figuratively. They screwed up so much it was very stressful. They had to fix multiple mistakes. Everything from installing roofing wrong to painting metal flashing after install thus getting paint on new shingles. Horrible. The roof is done now and looks great, but who knows what I missed and what they slipped by me. In Sempers defense, the Foreman Sean was very good and communicated well. I knew he was frustrated but he remained calm and professional until the end. The solar was flawless. This is where they shine. Clean install with no issues. I received Permission to Operate after only three days!! This was a 43K job, and I came close to telling them to stop and get off my property but they made up for it in the end.

From the time I contacted them until the time they finished they were excellent. They are efficient and reliable and communication is second to none.We are delighted we chose them. We had no issues with the at all before or during the install. It took them no time at all to put the panels up either.Mark was an excellent agent for them. Always prompt with responses and always left detailed messages if I missed him. Its amazing how many are incapable off doing that these days.When Mark came to do the consult I never felt pressured and he was very up front about details and whether we needed more panels etc... i never felt he was trying to up sell anything.Again excellent.

Got solar from SEMPER SOLARIS and they did a fantastic job!Rhami Hasenin came to my house, listened to what I wanted and gave me a very fair and great price. He handled all of the paperwork right there and assured me if I needed anything he would be there for us and he was. I had no out of pocket expenses and now have a small monthly payment for a system which has greatly increased my home value, with NO monthly electric bill.Billie Yako handled the installation part and she was in touch with me the entire time. We had one small change to make after the install and she handled it and ensured everything was perfect. Billie and the crew made sure the system looks great, no pipes all over my roof and running along the outside walls. Semper Solaris made my system look like professionals did, not some weekend installers. Dont know what I mean look at some of the systems out there.
