Friendly helpful employees. Store was neat clean and well organized. I went to purchase ceiling fans and easily found them with great labeling. An employee saw us walking towards the front and she offered to check us out right away. It was really nice to skip the other lines. Love the store and visit frequently
Local business in Capo Beach, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. It is well staffed so there is always somebody available to help with your questions and helping you with the right stock for your job. The store is well stocked with all types of moulding, hardwoods and a large selection of different species of wood. A lot of local contractors and trade professionals shop here but for the DIYer you are always welcome. Especially if youre looking for trim moulding. A lot of times they are able to rip the bigger sheets to your measurements. For me not having a large table saw I know I can come in here and they are able to cut them for me. Which saves me an hour or two setting up.
Shoutout to Stephanie who works in the nursery dept!!!! She is amazing and honestly, the only person with excellent customer service when I came here on 4/8/21. She went above and beyond and should be recognized for her customer service!!! Thank you Stephanie for all your hard work. It was noticed!!

Lumber department always is clean and employees are very helpful. Sal, Brian, and Rob especially are always extremely helpful.

UPDATE: waited 41 min amd gave up. Contacting regional Mgr. —Every time I call I wait at least 15 min on hold to speak to someone. Nice staff in store but poorly managed. I never received my order confirmation by email yet my card was charged. Not in junk folder either. Order was placed a week ago.Tried back again today bc the rep was supposed to call me back days ago and never did. 15 min on hold FInally connected only to be told there was no one in windows and decor to help me. On hold for a manager for god o oh knows how long. Almost at 20 min total now. WASTE OF TIME!

I went going to buy paint and they guy working in the painting department made sure I had exactly what I needed and that the color was right. At checkout the lady was also very sweet, probably from the south
Inventory is down. Likely reflects slower sales and traffic due to Covid19. Not nearly enough support staff compared to Home Depot. Seldom can find someone to help or answer questions. Fixable stuff if senior corporate staff would take note. Bottom line is not always the right metric.
On line found that this Lowes was the only one that had any soil moist in shock, 6 of the large bags. Asked a few workers around the garden area they were of no help. We walked around the garden area, found one worker on a ladder, he knew what soil moist is and knew the location as well, is I knew his name to put here.
Lowes is close and usually will have what I need. They have knowledgeable people throughout their store that are not only helpful but know the store and can get you the Isle and side for every product. I love that about them. Nothing bugs me more than going into a store and spending 20 minutes without having anyone greet you and either help you or give you directions where you can get your item or help. Lowes is my type of store!!!
I ordered vinyl for my house. It have been terrible in my life. First, they send somebody to install the floor and they are drinking alcohol inside my house. They finish the floor but they never come to install the baseboard. I have been call to lowes 3 times a week and they always said they will come and nothing.
The worst customer service ever. I called customer service 4 times and each employee hung up because they didnt want to be bothered to help me.. I also went into the store and the associates were not helpful. I will never go back.
Worst customer service Ive experienced. Was hands down ready to blow $600 on a piece of furniture, and after driving 45 mins to the next location who said they had it, told me, I dont know what to tell you, yet they keep the floor model on display when they have none is stock. AND the website said they had the furniture in stock, but they didnt and acted like it was no big deal that they misrepresented themselves and their stock. Out of all the wonderful places that went out of business due to COVID, this was the one business that should have.

Dont use this lowes there customer service is absolutely terrible they left me on hold for over and hour. Item online shows 2 in stock I can order for pickup but before driving the 40 miles I wanted to ensure it was at the location. Im still on hold nobody cares they transfer you from one employee to the next. I hung up called back they said we show two but who knows where they are and hung up. I would hope someone sees this and gets in contact with me. Andrew i think was the guy that hung up on me thanks for wasiting an hour of my life.
The app listed items in the wrong place and that weren’t in stock and none of the employees were helpful at finding anything. I had to leave and go to Home Depot

Ive been going here for my gardening supplies and have spent way too much on impulse buys. They dont always have the best plants, but they have the basics like potting soil, amendments, pots, etc.They run out of strawberry plants and fruiting trees when theyre in season although Costco sells fruit trees around spring time for cheaper. I havent seen any milkweed stocked at this location. In my experience, milkweed runs out quickly at other nurseries so maybe I just havent been lucky to see any milkweed left over from here.They have some basic hydroponics supplies, but not as extensive as a hydroponics store. Theyll have PVC, pumps, and buckets. But I havent seen many options for growing mediums, baskets, nutrients, and other supplies. They do have those ready made hydroponic kits though, for more money. But its cheaper if you make your own hydroponic set up.Overall, its a Lowes. Its there and we dont really have much other option sometimes. Its not bad, but customer service isnt super great. Also, it looks like their gardening department sometimes doesnt take good care of the plants. But for healthy plants, there are plenty of other places you can go to for that.

Writing this review in response to a negative experience I had with Lowes and felt it important to let people know. Lowes DOES NOT honor their warranty on Kobalt tools. On the tool itself it states Lifetime hassle free warranty, but I found it to be anything but that. Previously if I had a problem with a Kobalt hand tool, I was able to return it to Lowes with no problem. Apparently they have changed their policy. Now, to return one of these lifetime, hassle-free tools, be prepared to a protracted battle requiring a significant amount of time, frustration, negotiation, documentation, and working your way up through the stores chain of command. Also, worth note, there is a person named Edward, if I recall correctly, in customer service that was horrible to work with. I am not singling him out because of my frustration with their not honoring their return policy, there were many people I interacted with in the course of working to resolve that issue, and they were all great to work with. Edward, specifically, was disrespectful, slow, and would not take any action unless specifically asked to. Was like he was trying to obfuscate and complicate the process as much as he was able. He wouldnt even provide me with a receipt after my exchange after I requested one (at that point had no more gas left in the tank to argue further). Not sure why that guy is in customer service or employed by Lowes at all.
Cant fulfill online orders because they dont have anyone to pick the orders.But they do have 900 associates standing around with nothing to do if you go in the store.Good job virtue signaling about all youre doing to keep people safe during the covid-19 pandemic you morons.

They allow a known reseller to buy whole pallets of hard to find plants before it even hits the shelves. I don’t know who at this store allows for one person to buy the whole stock of one plant, but from what I have seen management knows about this. They have received several complaints about this, and do nothing. I won’t be going to this Lowe’s anymore and definitely reporting it. Also they allowed her to buy 10+ of one plant, knowing she’s probably reselling and price gouging which is illegal. Not cool
I ordered a barn door online 10/28. It was being shipped from NC. It was a week bouncing around SCal. When it arrived it was smashed 11/19.I called Lowes 800# 11/21 and was told it would be picked up and replaced with a comparable door.I called the 800# again on 11/25, because I saw that it had a price drop. Shortly afterI was contacted by DJ the store manager and he was very helpful and vowed to see this through to my satisfaction.DJ was true to his word. The door was reordered at the new sale price. When it arrived he and another manager Chris delivered the new door to my home and picked up the damaged door.Im so impressed with Lowes level of customer service. Thank you to DJ and Chris.
I made a purchase online from my Upland lowes for a business function that was taking place in 2 weeks the day I was supposed to receive my order. I received a call instead alerting me that the item was not placed on the truck and now delivery would be after the date specified. No worries I thought I will pick it up myself upon arrival the item was not assembled as paid for & At that time I scheduled for another company to pick up and deliver for me. when I did receive the order it was actually defected it was not tested before it was issued and did not work. I tried to call & physically went into the upland location they would not help me to replace it. I was beyond frustrated!!! until I came across the San Clemente Lowes and their fabulous crew. Travis and Andrea saved the day they were able to resolve issue over the phone 40 miles away, to fix a problem that WAS NOT THERES& that couldnt be resolved 3 miles away it was amazing to come across such efficient workers that actually like what they do it really does make a difference in short Travis & Andrea thank you! thank you! you saved the day and my function went along perfectly thank you guys again !!! 😊😷
The store is clean. The service is fast but not very friendly. I needed help and the guy I ask told me if I couldnt find it what did I expect him to do. He was very rude! Ill probably go to Home Depot after that unless Im desperate.

Ordered numerous items online and called to ascertain when it could be picked up, was told items the would be acquired immediately and we could come in for pick up. We came to the store 3 hours later. The customer service associate was dismissive at best, the lead cashier lacked the customer service skills to address her team’s confusion (was on the register computer for 10 minutes before saying a word to me).Team members in the kitchen department were at desks playing on personal phones; i walked through all of the displays for 10 minutes and no one asked if I needed help. No help was offered by the associate in doors though he walked directly by me to his desk.This location needs an overhaul in customer service. I have never been a Home Depot shopper, but they’ve officially got my business and I’ll be driving 20 minutes further away for our home renovation supplies.

Associates need to respect distancing and need to actually wear their masks. It doesn’t count if you don’t cover your nose and please don’t stand 1 ft next to me in the aisle while I am trying to pick out paint. I literally had to walk away and stand 6 ft from my spot where I had been selecting paint, to let 3 clueless guys (one staff person, 2 guys without masks) who crowded in next to me. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes for them to discuss and make their selection, but not one had the intelligence or courtesy to realize that I was waiting. I finally said something to their utter surprise. Just be respectful and don’t put others at risk, please.

Just bought a new home and had the most extraordinary experience with Cecil. He was extant knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and honest. He answered hard questions with real answers and will be the reason we will frequent Lowes in the future.
Lowes is awesome! They have the best selection of appliances and ceiling fans anywhere near us! The staff is great and super helpful with any questions that we have and always takes their time to explain installation issues that we may run into while discussing a particular product. We recently replaced all our ceiling fans and picked some awesome ones out of their great selection!
Lowes in San clemente. I was there on a Sunday to buy a fridge. Nobody helped me for at least 15 min. I then went twice upfront and asked for someone to come help me. Still no one for another 15 min. Im sure not the norm, but I dont know. Not a good experience at all. Thats just horrible customer service.

I always like their curbside pickup. Now you can use the app to tell them you are on the way and when you arrive. But why we still need to sign on paper? Thats a two hand operation while most other stores went contactless.

Went to pick up product ordered online. The box was obviously opened. Checked contents and the tool was very used and dirty. Went in the store to retrieve an unopened product and when I returned the system said it was already picked up. This caused more delays. This sort of thing happens everytime we order anything from Lowes.
Would give zero stars if I could. I don’t know why it’s so difficult to get someone one the phone to assist. I’ve been trying to order an oven from Lowe’s for about 5-6 weeks. The only one that ever responds is Xavier (he’s great) but I don’t expect him to be there 24 hours a day. Appliances never answers, customer services blows you off because they are over head paging a department that never answers...what an absolute nightmare. I expected better customer service from Lowe’s. So incredibly disappointed.

It was a lot better than my first visit, now that i registered in their wbsite for veterans discount. I was able to find my items and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Which as a new homeowner is very nice to walk into store and be comftible and confident in getting help and finding what you went there for.

Lowes in San Clemente did not enforce the mandate of having to wear a mask to protect us against this pandemic. All they had was a little sign that nobody reads at the door. Unlike other business had nobody at the door to enforce wearing masks. Quite a lot of customers were not in compliance and apparently did not care. Lowes is putting me at risk with this non-complianse. Eli not see me there for a while.
I wanted to buy some shelving. It was out of stock on the shelf. I asked Customer Service and they said there were 20 in the store. He sent me back out to the aisle and paged for help. 15 minutes later I had to ask again for help. Finally it arrived but he couldnt find the shelving and sent me to the lumber section. I went there and couldnt find what I want and asked again for help and was sent to another part of the store. I left and ordered it on-line. Stay tuned!! Gave them 2 stars for being polite but not helpful.

Update. Pay attention, Lowes ! We just purchased a new refrigerator & dishwasher from Stephen at this Lowes. Based on our past experience, it wasnt high on my list to shop there.But Stephen was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He told us about the products and helped us to finally purchase! We went back yesterday (we called but nobody ever gormt back to us) with a question, and luckily Stephen was there and took care of everything. Hes a 5 star, knowledgeable & very helpful guy. Thank you, Stephen!Despite his outstanding service, i can only give the store a 4. Its sad, because its the only Lowes within 15 miles.We were returning an item purchased online. There were many brand new employees, and one customer service employee was rude on the phone and in person. After I found another employee who actually wanted to help us, our experience was much better. The new manager of plumbing was very helpful, and a couple of employees from other departments jumped in to help.Unfortunately, we only get one chance to make a first impression, and the customer service in the front of the store left a such poor impression I could only give 3 stars.Store is clean, well lighted, plenty of parking.

Great customer service. We needed a lot of paint and supplies for some work at an orphanage down in Tijuana, and Lisa in paint helped us with our every need. Being that we have limited knowledge of painting, she spent over an hour helping us find the right type, color, and amount of paint for our job; she also scored us a great deal on all the supplies and even contributed some of her own money to donate to the orphanage. Many thanks to Lowes and Lisa for making our project a success!
Dont order an appliance from lowes.I tried to order a refrigerator, the ones they had in stock were damaged, they shipped one from another store, except it was also damaged. I cancelled the order, but Lowes instead marked it as delivered and kept my money. Cant resolve it over the phone, I got transferred 5 times without resolution

Awful experience with the manager. They place no apparent value on their customers experience. Very disappointed. After being promised our order would arrive multiple weeks in a row and delaying my remodel project because of it I still don’t have my order because “there was no room on the truck” to fit my items. Unreal disregard for the customer
