I highly recommend Northern Monkey Barber. Josh has delivered a stellar haircut each and every time I’ve gone. The vibe is super chill, the drinks are cold, and the conversation is always interesting. I’ve referred 2 friends to him and they have both come back with very positive feedback. Most importantly, my wife compliments my haircut each and every time I come home from seeing Josh.

Josh always does a fantastic job with the cuts and trims. Conversation is great. His shop is clean and comfortable. If you walk out of there not feeling good about yourself it’s probably your own deal....and if he gives advice like he does barbering he could probably recommend a good therapist too.

I’ve never been accused of being hip, but after leaving the chair at NorthernMonkey, I think I’ve got a far better shot. This guy seems to know his way around a pair of shearing scissors and a clipper-guard drawer. In 30 minutes, he shaved 10years off my vibe. Even my kids think I’m a little bit cooler. If you have hair and need someone to manage it, Josh is your guy. He seems to have an opinion about most things, but when it comes to a dudes dew, he has DIRECTION!

Make your appointment online, get in here and upgrade your look.So, why not 5 stars? First, if all his reviews are 5 star you will assume he asked his buds to do him a solid on Google. I hardly know this dude, but I want you to take his reviews seriously because he is skilled, local and building his business. Second, this is a little shop, not a studio or salon, so there is no wash, little waiting space, no shoulder massage...I don’t care, but you might. To make up for the salon BS, Josh has drinks (you know what I mean) a cool movie running, and decent music playing. (He is into English rock bands more than I am. Hadn’t heard XTC in years. Josh is a great guy and an even better barber. His shop is clean, always has something funny on the TV (i.e . Standup), and always has a cold beer in the fridge. Never once had a cut I’ve been unhappy with. Josh is always friendly and conversation is never forced. I recommend him to all my friends. Great place!

Josh is the best! I originally came to him for my beard, and after my beard was gone I continued with my hair. The shop is super chill...refreshments, something entertaining to watch, and interesting conversation are always the modus operandi. I will continue to trust Josh with my hair unless the good lord sees fit to take it away from me!
