Note the owners comments to the bad reviews. They say everything about this business. And beware reviews that are all 5 stars and 1 star. Good businesses have a mix, with few 1 stars but plenty of good enough customers in between. Not this one, they are perfect reviews or horrible. I paid $200-some and ended up having to get a real locksmith to fix it with better service and better price. Its a sketchy business. Go somewhere else. I gave one star because there is no zero.

I had to get a special key made and I tried tirelessly at many different places to get it made. San Carlos Lock and Key was able to get it made and did it SO fast! Kudos! Thank you!

Amazing guys and courteous. I am completely satisfied with their service. I accidentally locked my car keys inside the car and required some immediate attention. I found them on Yelp and called them, they provided quotes, showed up on time, retrieved keys from the car. I highly recommend them and completely satisfied!

Called him, came and got all the car information. Then he left to work on the key, advised he will take 40 minutes.. took almost 3 hours and when I called him wouldnt pick up.. really bad service, at least could have called me and say he will not work on that at all.

The hours on the website are wrong, closes 3 hours earlier than it states. When attempted to question about it, the person on the phone was not only extremely rude, but screamed obscenities over me, things that I cant repeat here due to Googles policies. Scroll down and see the numerous 1 star reviews, youll see this is a common problem with this guy...not to mention the blatent dishonesty. The customer may not always be right, but there is no excuse for the merchant to unleash uncalled for excessive profanities.

Their prices were great they were supper fast no waiting. And for people who are still afraid of the covid vaccine or just havent had theirs yet, they have a drive up window.

Gave them a call a few times to see if I could get a key cut and programmed, and was informed that they were not open due to COVID-19, which is completely understandable. Gave another call a few weeks later to see if they were opening up soon, and was sworn at until I hung up the phone on whomever owns this place. Extremely unprofessional, will not be doing any business with them moving forward.

Called to have locks replaced on a new home. Was given a rough estimate of starting at $40 and up and told there would be a $15 charge for the visit and final estimate. The $15 was credited to the final cost. Locksmith was dispatched a few minutes after my initial call. Moses arrived within the 35 minute window, and called ahead as requested. I was given the option of replacing the locks or re-keying. Moses suggested re-keying as the locks were old and would be expensive to replace to maintain the same look. Its a good idea to know how much youre willing to spend ahead of time. After agreeing on a price for the job, he got straight to work. He said the older locks were like a puzzle to take apart and put back together, but that didnt seem to slow him down. Deadbolt and handle were re-keyed and lubricated in a bit under an hour and I was given 2 new keys. Everything went smoothly.

I was looking for a luggage lock for tomorrow mornings flight on a Saturday night, and no other locksmith was open. Luckily I found San Carlos Lock and Key, where I found the lock I was looking for.

DO NOT USE SERVICES. Had our locks re-keyed by this company, and the entire lock broke less than a month after, and wanted to charge an additional cost to fix the lock they didnt install correctly. The locksmith who came out was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Had to call the police. I warn you, do not use this company.

The technician, was very fast and efficient in his duties. He was very communicative. THE OWNER I THINK BEN WHOEVER ANSWERS THE PHONES WHEN YOU CALL THE STORE WAS AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE AND LIES. I called after locking myself out of my house and was quoted for the job, and told theyd be here in 25 minutes. Im still sitting outside my house 2 hours later because no one has shown up.I called the first time after an hour to get a new ETA and was told the tech was just trying to find parking - its the middle of the day and Im sitting on the curb. Theres parking everywhere. I called again 20 minutes later and was told Hes right around the corner.I called a 3rd time at the 1 hour 45 minute mark and was told that he had the tech on the other line and that hed find out what was going on. He then hung up on me and sent me to voicemail twice when I tried to call back. So, Im still sitting outside my house 2 hours after my initial call.Thanks for nothing.

Very shady businesses practices. The 1 star is for the fact that the technician was timely. Needed new ignition cylinder. On website it says $110 including labor & parts plus $29 for on-call service fee .I ended up paying $250 for a fix that took about 30-45 mins. The car technician does not even work for the same company its a subbed out contractor.

Fast and professional service. Within 20mins the technician was to me and had me in my car in less than five. He made it look so simple. Definitely recommend and will call again if needed.. Hopefully not too soon. Lol

The locksmith who attended was lovely but the owner who was on the phone was simply awful. I wanted a written breakdown of costs so I could understand how the prices increase from the quotes on the website. He shouted over me repeatedly when I tried to ask questions or explain myself. He would not give me an explanation besides shouting. Every time I asked for the price he pretended the phone was cutting out and he could not hear me rather than answering. Please choose a more transparent and polite company to conduct business with.

Call #1 - straight to a voicemail where automated voice repeats back a different number than the one I called.Call #2 - spoke with a gentleman who was very difficult to understand over the phone, but by the end of the conversation we set an appointment for the following day between 10 and 11am.I received Call #3 at 9:45am, 15mins before my scheduled appointment. What work do you need done? Are you aware of our prices? Are you REALLY aware of our prices? Ok, how is noon?I asked this guy (diff than my first convo) to keep the original 10 to 11 am window and he said yes.Never showed up. Do not recommend.

I tried calling Keylo Locksmith and Google messed up and directed me to this company instead. Jay answered the phone and never mentioned that he wasnt Keylo even though i asked when he answered the phone if i reached Keylo.Jay came out and looked at the doors in question. He took pictures and told me he would follow up and charged me $99 and said it would go towards any work completed. After a week i called back to follow up since i had not heard back from him. When i got a hold of Keylo he explained to me that there is no Jay at their location.So now i have paid $99 for nothing but a guy to come out take two pictures and do nothing for me but waist my time.How can you trust a locksmith that lies to your face and doesnt follow up on the work you paid them for?I will continue to go to Keylo for all my lock needs. They have always been honest and know what they are doing with reasonable prices.

One of the sketchiest places Ive been to. I locked myself outside my room and wanted to get an estimate for how much it would cost to get me back inside my room. The person at the counter avoided my question for about 10 minutes and instead dispatched his boss to show up at my house. At the end of those 10 minutes I told him to tell his boss to not show up. They would not mention any sort of price for the service, so Im sure they would have made up a ridiculous price on the spot after showing up to my house.

Great service - the keys for our front door lock were sticky, I brought in the cylinder from the Baldwin lock, he was quick, courteous, and the lock woks great now!
