Junior’s team managed to replace my old AC unit with a newer one from Carrier! I was a bit nervous thinking that they would have to carry the AC unit from the downstairs entrance up to the front entrance with the off chance that anything might get hit, but instead they made a plan. They made use of the ladder that connects to a small gate and through that carefully took out the old one and lowered the new one down. I was really impressed! I’d recommend Bay Air HVAC as they are truly professionals and get the job done.

We have worked with Richard and his team for over the last 5+ years. We have always been impressed by their work ethic, professionalism, fair prices and the quality of work performed. We have two AC units that manage the climate for our machine shop, when a unit is not working properly, it is imperative we are back up and running asap. Richard has always been very responsive, and is able to respond within 24 hours. Most recently, he gave us a heads up that one of our units would need to be replaced within the next two years, its this type of honesty, we very much appreciate. I ended up choosing them and they were able to do the furnace replacement on the spot and kept everything clean and did good work. They looked at the unit and recommended me to replace it. Also, they gave me the estimate, in which it was within my budget. They gave me the schedule for 2 days after for a full day job. They came back and did what they had to do, cleaned the work area, tested the new unit, and showed me how to use it and become familiarized with it. They did an excellent job and my home gets warmed and makes comfortable for my whole family. Thank you guys!

Cooperative, fast and knowledgeable! my furnace was not heating enough and also I have headaches and itchy eyes. I called for help! 2 guys from Bay Air came on time and showed very helpful and respectful. As soon they saw the furnace going on, the main tech. Richard, said we already know what is wrong here. they explained me what to do and gave a written estimate. He also said there is excess of gas and no enough combustion. I gave the ok to fixed. They covered my white carpet and worked very carefully. they did some testing and showed me the difference in the flame type (From yellow to bright blue). Also the air was not smelly as before. well worth 5 stars!.

I came to visit my 76 year old father in Palo Alto and found out that he has been without heat for almost a week. I searched around and called Bay Air HVAC Services to repair the Carrier furnace. They came within 2 hours of my call and was responsive to my questions. They fixed the furnace at a reasonable price. We are happy with their services and will call them the next time something happens to our furnace.

After on and off heat waves, my old A/C wasnt cooling my house down like it used to. I ended up calling Bay Air HVAC to do the replacement. They were respectful the entire time and made sure to practice safety guidelines for COVID-19. Its been two weeks since then and we had another 100F heat wave during labor day weekend. My furnace is a Carrier 8 years old and still under the 10 year factory warranty. After checking for a Carrier service in my area, I found Bay Air HVAC company. I called them and stated that my heater was making growling noises sometimes and still the parts are covered under warranty and if they could handle that. The receptionist said yes and we carry lots of parts in the vans. We set an appointment for next day. They came on time, with professional manner and helpful attitude. They replaced the motor that they carry in their van with a little cost on their labor. I am very happy to refer them to someone needs heating services.

Clearly the best! I understand that we cant be pleased all the times. But Bay Air HVAC Services, Inc. were prompt, courteous and very fast to do 1 ac replacement and 2 heating system service and maintenance. They also checked my water heater that other Company recommended to replace it. Richard from Bay Air looked the unit. also drain water and got samples. The water was fully clear and he said the water heater is in good shape with a few more years to go. I consider that he was very honest. They also cleaned the floor and garage area of work. I am happy to state that the units are working great since then. Thank you Bay Air and staff.

Commercial HVAC is good for the business trade lovers. I have Bay Air HVAC Services to inspect and service 2 buildings that I manage them. from first impression was no doubt that I called the right place. Before, I had other companies that they charged me for something that was not done. What is worst! they never came to do the service. Bay Air showed with a full crew and well equipped cargo truck ready to do the job. First, they inspected and gave me a report with photos and also a bid for what it has to be done. They worked on 8 Roof package units Carrier, Bryant and York. Their price was very fair. excellent work and well coordinated as a team. Great experience! excellent an in person secretary that is very helpful to the service tech and installation crew. I have replaced the furnace and added AC in 4 days from start to finish. The Bryant efficient HVAC is working quiet. Also heats and cool the home in less than a half time from the old one. The Electronic Air cleaner (EAC) is providing relief from my wife sneezes. thank you Bay Air.

Rheem water heater purchased from this outfit in March of 2019 is malfunctioning just 14 months later. I called them believing that the unit would still be under warranty and I was informed that the warranty on this $2,000.00 water heater was good for 12 months only. Furthermore, it would cost $400.00 to repair it.I dont mean to imply that they are at fault, probably just a lemon.

Under NO circumstance should ANYONE use this service. They do not stand by their service and the owner is downright crazy.

Good service and great impression! these guys from Bay Air HVAC Services came to rescue my family and my old dad from the heck of cool morning. The 2 furnaces in the house were not heating and one was not even working. I look service on line and called different places with a negative result from 4.5 to 4.9 stars. only one called me and said they will send somebody next week with a minimum charge of $500.00 dollars. I decide to call Bay Air with 3.9 stars. They answered the phone in a good manner and were able to schedule an appointment for next day afternoon 1-3 pm. They arrived at 1.30pm (2 guys). both wearing uniforms and with a clean cargo truck. the Master tech was very pleasant and easy to talk about my furnace problems. After half an hour of diagnosis were able to give me an estimate. Also, they said that the job can be done immediately as they have parts in the truck. I said go ahead. The job was done by 4:30 pm. Their work was neat and also they help me to program the thermostats. The 2 furnaces Carrier and Tempstar arew working great putting fresh air in the house and provide us the heat fast. Awesome! we just have finished our building HVAC replaced including ducting work. After calling a few companies which some of them did not showed or did not send a quote. Bay Air HVAC was our last call. they came next day, gave us a quote in 3 days. they included a planing work for the project and timing from start to finish. They finished 1 day day before the estimated time. the unit was big and the roof ceiling custom tile that others were very worried, Bay Air handle very well and left the place beautiful after the project was finished. that is what I call Awesome.

I called this company requesting someone come out to check out my AC. Matthew said Richard would be out between 1-3. I took the afternoon off work. At 3:00, he still hasn’t arrived. Matthew calls me, says he’s running behind, will arrive at 4:30. Needless to say, he never showed up or called. I called Gladys, cancelled my request, said I can find another company more reliable who wants my business.

My furnace needed to be replaced after it was found with a cracked heat exchanger. Richard and his technicians were able to replace my furnace the same day because he carries furnace parts and some furnace units in his van. That is really efficient and they saved me from a cold night!

I work in property management and I rely on Bay Air HVAC. I am never let down. They have rescued us when other vendors have not been able to complete work. They are fast, responsive and reasonable with pricing.

These folks seem to charge > 1000% markup.I had the same experience as one of the other reviewers. They came and had a look, and told me that I needed to replace my inducer motor. Without even needing to consult a catalog, they quoted $1080, and gave me a $100 discount. When I asked why it was so expensive, they told me that it was about $500 for the part and $500 for labor because it was very labor intensive. They told me they would have to come back the next day because it is a very old model and they didnt have the part, but then they realized that they did indeed have the part in the truck and could do it right away.They took the inducer assembly down and started to replace the motor. While they were doing that, I googled around and saw that the motor costs about $35 online, and the whole inducer assembly about $175 (they were charging me $500 to put the motor into that assembly). I watched what they were doing, and there was at most 30 minutes of work (except that one of the screws was jammed so they couldnt get the assembly apart). I confronted them with the prices they had found and they put my hardware back in place and left with only the cost of the service fee. They also completely changed the cost breakdown after I confronted them with the online price.I really felt like they were out to milk me. At this point Im not even confident that the parts needed changing. They might do good work prompt work, but their labor and parts rates are through the roof.

Technician came promptly and found that the A/C need 2 small parts (Capacitor and booster), said that the complete repair would cost $ 440, but he did not have all the parts with him. He then checked on his truck and found the 2 parts and replaced so that the A/C was working well. He then wrote up a bill charging for the 2 parts $ 248 and for the labor $ 300, making a total bill of $ 550. He stayed at our house less than one hour, and I found that the 2 parts cost in retail store $ 30.Complete fraud -- will never call this firm again.

One month ago I had my heat pump (old) not working. I called 5 companies, after they look the unit, a few said the unit needs replacement because is too old. one company tried to repaired but couldnt. I asked ? how much the price will be for a new one. they said 9,500.00, 10k, 10,800 and even 15,000 for a high efficiency one.that was extremely too much for my budget. I used my options to call and ask my friends for a good referral. I was feeling already better and made best hopes that they can repaired as my place was alway hot. I called them, they schedule an appointment for next day afternoon. I was anxious to the time to come through. Finally, they showed up. I got good impression with a beautiful truck with a sign company, 2 guys got out of truck wearing a uniform and looking clean (hard to see in this kind of industry). Richard introduced himself and gave me his company business card. I looked at it. and read this trustful words Field Service specialist.I felt confident that I was going to have good results. Richard ask me to show the units in attic and outside. They asked me for 10 minutes to check and let me know what it has to be done. I mentioned them that I was a referral and want the unit to be repaired as possible. Richard the main tech was quick to diagnosis and after 8 minutes he told me the good news that can be repaired for 1,300.00 after 10 percent discount. without thinking, I said go ahead. They ordered the parts (special order) and come back 3 days later. in less than 2 hours the unit was working again until now. I am so happy! and feel lucky to find BAY AIR HVAC. definitely I will recommend Bay Air to people who needs good service and Knowledgeable techs. Also their office people were very patient and helpful in comparison to others or the worse answering machines. 5 stars are short for the whole service I got.

What I needed from BAY AIR HVAC Services, Inc. was to replace the floor furnace that heats the main rooms in my small home. My heater was so old that I wasn’t sure I’d find anyone who could do the job. Richard Aredo (owner) took one look at it, knew just the product required, and said he could have the new furnace in three days. He would widen the opening himself, without another contractor, and complete the installation in 2 to 3 hours; he’d installed one of these just last week. Not only was his estimate the most economical I’d gotten, Richard and his worker were the most efficient team I’d ever seen. They finished on time, though with a problem with a single regulator piece. Richard knows his products so well that he carries spare parts in his van, so he completed the job with just a short delay. The furnace fit perfectly and the house was spotless. I have total confidence in Richard Aredo!

I called this company at 3 pm, after not getting a call back from another company. My washer was repaired, at a reasonable price, by 6:15 pm. I would recommend this company to my friends.

Rude and aggressive behavior when asked about finishing repairs after not showing up the next day. Multiple threats to take me to court if I did not delete this review (bullying, intimidation, and control tactic) before any offer to fix my heater was made (after realizing that I was not afraid)....and actually took me to Small Claims Court in San Mateo County for this review (look it up, its public record!). The owner always has a justification for his lack of service and blames the unsatisfied customers (more on Yelp), and tells you to ignore reviews like this. Beware if you are any (African American) female living above the poverty line on your own. If he doesnt like you, he wont help you - this is what he said and did to me. I was treated like a nuisance in my own home, and taken to court for posting my opinion (protected speech) in this review (about paying for ineffective work) by The Owner. After 2 months of unreliable work and poor service attitude, I will never use them again, and Im sure the owner is happy about that.

Our heating system stopped working in February and Bay Air charged us $150 to do the diagnostics and consequently charged us another $500 to fix the problem. The unit worked for a month and stopped working again and they refused to come and address the problem even though their invoice grantees the work for 60 days. we are reporting them to consumer protection.

I highly recommend this company.Call them at 2pm - they had our air conditioner fixed by 5pm at a reasonable cost.
