Hugo and his team are AMAZING!! I was looking for someone to clear our backyard of a huge mess of overgrown weeds. He came to my house shortly after I talked on the phone with him. He was able to do the work the next day. His team worked so fast it was incredible. They were able to do in one day that would have taken me a month. I was so impressed I started asking about some landscaping ideas. I finally saw the potential of my yard and that was exciting. Hugo brought in new nutrient rich soil, fixed my sprinklers, installed a drip system, and laid St. Augustine sod. It looks gorgeous. I love going out in my yard now. Hugo and his team went above and beyond with extras as well. I was so grateful they trimmed my bushes in both the back and the front yard without that being part of the deal. They also planted my new plants which was also not part of the deal. That was a huge help to me! Hugo shared his valuable knowledge to help me with some issues I was having in the front yard as well. Hugo is professional, talented and a really nice guy. His team is experienced and hard working and very nice as well. I’m already planning to have them come back in the fall to trim our trees. H & R Landscaping is going to be our landscaping partners from here on out! They’ve definitely earned my trust and my business.

When I met Hugo a year ago he really blew away the competition!!! He was responsive and available for what I anticipated to be a year long project... we discussed the entire backyard remodel and I have a lot of yard!!! I had about 2400 square ft of grass I needed, a gopher problem and a lot of work to do. In time I was able to complete the grass and irrigation and a few other things. Yard nowhere near finished. This was a huge undertaking and Hugo and his guys did a good job getting grass installed back in May. About a month later so June I noticed a problem area in my lawn. Its now Nov and is still a problem. Hugo came out initially right away but then I realized he would say he was going to do something and never follow through. He was my weekly maintenance service so I kept regular communication. I requested estimates on other projects during May to Nov in anticipation he was going to rectify the issue and he never quoted them. Pergola needed repair he said he had a guy never heard back. He told me he was going to pick plants for a new planter (huge) and to send pics of what I wanted. He never did and I never heard back. He promised to repair a sliding glass door his gardners shattered with a rock. Never happened. He replaced the dying sod incorrectly and its dying again in my problem area bc its a sprinkler issue. When I reached out to him to repair as he had done the irrigation he just ignores me. I have a drainage problem with my lawn as well. Come to find out drainage could have been built in b4 grass was put in. All In all very dissatisfied! My front yard used to be beautiful, in time it has developed issues and every time he says a different season is when it should be done and a yr. Goes by all seasons pass and I never hear back. He has always been friendly and kind but the integrity piece is missing. As a business person I value and believe Its important to do work with honest upfront people though hard to find anymore. His price point is good and he is knowledgeable but make sure they do the job right the 1st time and you will be good. If he stops responding he clearly does not want your business. Ive fired him and hiring someone who has kept a neighbors lawn beautifully. Hoping for much better results and to finally get some of these projects moving again. Not sure how much repair will have to be done first.

Just had a bad experience overall. Initial phone contact went great. Told him about the clean up job Id like done to my backyard after I made an appointment on their website for a Tuesday. Wanted to come to my house to see what needed to be done so we set up he would arrive at my house on Saturday between 4 and 5pm. No one ever showed up. I figured, maybe he got busy and couldnt make, fine. Id see him on Tuesday.Tuesday comes and no one arrives. Not even a call. So I called a few minutes after the appointment time, rings, rings and voice-mail is full. I called 6 times (1.5 hours after the time i requested) before I got Hugo and he was at another site. Anyways...... I had requested a time for 11am and he finally came to my house around 4pm to look at my house and give me an estimate. Before he left he said he would message me that night to set up a date and time to do the work. Its been a week since he came and still havent heard from him.Maybe it was an off week for him, so I can only speak from my experience of online and phone interaction. He may do amazing yard work but I cant review that because he never returned

They provide high quality service. Hugo, the owner, is very respectful. He knows a lot about sprinkles and irrigation systems. He save me a lot of many on my sprinkler repair. I will highly recommend Hugo and his team. They are truly an A+ company.

This is to the response: thats weired Hugo called me the next day to say he was showing up i told him I didnt need his service because he didnt show up first day. He yelled FINE and hung up phone . he didnt say anything about him being in an accident. But hope all is well.Hugo was supposed to show up at 12pm waited all day! No call no show! I called him never answered and his phone message is full. Dont waste time like we did!

Hugo has been assisting me with various landscape issues for about the past 6 months and Ive found him to be very responsive to returning calls and resolving the issues. In addition, he is very knowledgeable and takes the time to help you understand the work that was done, what caused it, and how to prevent or improve. He does all this while not gouging with excessive costs. I would highly recommend you give him an opportunity for your landscaping needs.

Hugo with his team installed a sprinkler system in my backyard in June 2017. I had to call Hugo back in December 2017 due to 1 leaky valve, he quickly responded to fix the issue & also raised all 4 valves above the ground per my request with no charge for the leaky valve & no charge to raise the valves. I will defiantly only call on H & R for all my landscaping needs, a company you can trust will do right by their customers.

Ive used H&R since 2004 and Hugo and his team have always done a very clean job at a reasonable price. Hugo has even done a few extras (such as annual rose bush trimming) without my asking, even though his contract was for mowing and edging only. He has always been responsive to my calls and texts, and has always been willing to accommodate any special requests that Ive had.

Called and spoke to Hugo to start new service. He made an appointment with me to come out to look at our lawn between 10am and 12pm the next day. We waited for him but he did not show up. I called him at 12pm to see if he was still coming and got his voicemail so I left a message. It has been 3 days and he still never called back. I guess he is so busy that he forgets appointments and ignores voicemails. I will find someone else who wants to take care of our lawn.

Hugo has been doing my lawn service for 2 years now and Im very satisfied with his work ethic. He is always there on my service day and has also helped with relocating and fixing my sprinkler system. Also has planted new flowers and overall does a wonderful job keeping my lawn in great shape. I recommend H & R gardening to everyone! Thank you!

Im not one to normally write a review, but when you get great service and a beautiful garden how could you not tell everybody about it! If you are browsing for great landscaping this is definitely who you want. Its affordable and you will end up with your lawn looking 10x better.

Hugo morales has great customer service skills. He did a great job and was fairly priced when he replaced all of my sprinkler units. Very knowledgeable and gave me great information and suggestions about my yard landscaping options.

Very helpful and informative. Explained everything in detail and even came back couple weeks later no charge to help figure out the electronics of the sprinkler system since I had no idea how anything worked.

Done a real nice job his guys go to work they take there time to do the job right I would use them again but I would pay with a check or cash I would not use a debt card because the company he uses charge a 5 percent interest other than that I am satisfied

H&R has been my gardener for 2 months. My yard was looking okay and no worse than anyone elses since this drought business. I have a 120 foot long 15 foot hill on one side plus front and back yards. Always hearing drought but no help and no change. H&R understands horticulture and how to provide good care in our desert valley. For 20 years no gardener ever aerated my yard. I, sadly, decided to move from a long time gardener to H&R, who estimated the same amount/month as I had been paying and I already have a healthier, cleaner yard. Kudos to this company!
