I have been all around town and usually never go back a second time to a nail salon but this place is definitely the spot that I will be coming to from now on. These guys are awesome at what they do and you can tell they take pride in their work. This is probably the neatest, cleanest work I’ve ever had done. They make you feel welcomed and comfortable as if they’ve known you forever. I usually don’t talk much when I go because I like to stay to myself and get the most of my “me” time but I do like listening in on their “salon talk” they’re hilarious. The place is family owned I believe which I like very much. Prices are very reasonable. I always enjoy myself when I visit.

My first time in the salon after being recommended by a friend of mine. They were on time and clean. Temperature checks at the door and they have you wash your hands. Amanda did my nails and I’m so in love with them and impressed!! I will be going back. They were worth every penny

I wish I remembered the name of the tech that did my nails. She was very helpful, patient, and attentive. Last place I went to the ladies were in a hurry, got an attitude when you didnt know exactly what you wanted, and when I asked what type of nail decorations they had they just asked well what do you want? This place... The OPPOSITE! She was gentle with my nails, great customer service, and answered all of my questions with no problems. Great job.. and I am pleased with my nails.

I love this place! Super clean save careful about covid stuff. They take your temperature but you gotta have an appointment. Call first but Tracey and Linda and errbody they are super talented!

My usual nail shop was very busy today so I decided to find a temporary one. I googled nail salons around the area and found star nails 2 to have the highest rating so I went over. Linda immediately took me as a client. She was very professional and very nice. She did an overlay on my nails and shellac polish on my toenails. Everything came out beautifully and neat. This put the cherry on top of my Mother’s Day.

The lady who did my nails was very polite although i enjoyed her services, my nails were not completely cleaned off. As I still had nail polish on both my toes. Other than that the people here are really nice and funny

It would have been 5 stars but it was a little messy and didnt havw clean nail brushes labeled at hand washing sink. Obvious its a family business and they are super sweet basic services if you need the hustle and bustle of a shop to feel like you got what you paid for then this wont satisfy you at all. My nails came out great👍

My daughter and I came in for some pampering on her birthday and it was AMAZING! The environment was relaxing and the staff was so nice! Special shout out to Amanda who tended to my daughter. She said thank again for her beautiful full set!! :)

Star Nails 2 is the only place we get our nails, manicures and pedicures done at. The service is always great, employees are always courteous and always deliver what you ask for. Don’t usually do reviews but just had to let everyone know I left my old nail technician of 5 years because I got my nails done here once with Star Nails 2 on Ingram Rd with Amanda and was hooked. Everyone there is professional and friendly. It’s a clean and safe environment especially considering during this pandemic. They are following all protocols and guidelines to make sure everyone of their clients feel safe and are in a clean and safe environment. I’ve seen everyone’s work around me when I am there and all I can say is you will not be disappointed!

Honestly the old Chinese lady needs to get fired. She did my eyebrows, I gave her the benefit of the doubt.. she made me bleed and left hair not even mentioning it was the worse pain ever man. Never returning even if it meant I could never do my god dam eyebrows again. Smh

They were very understanding, when I was running late :( and I loved the way Daniel did my nails. They were soooo perfect!!! Especially with everything that is going on, they are taking the extra precautions for their safety and their customers.

Shaping of my nails were awesome and the pedicure was great ! My nails started breaking within a little over a week. Went back to get them repaired and paid and they are breaking again . Love the shaping but I’m disappointed bc I spent money here again and I have to go somewhere else . I was nice about it but I can’t pay for this again and I’m easy on my nails 😐😩Nails were breaking by day 2 . Either the application process was incorrect or the quality of the powder was bad

AMANDA AND HER SISTER MEGAN AND THEIR MOM TRACY ARE ALL AMAZING. They make you feel so comfortable here and they take really good care of you. They listen to what you want done rather than just doing something you wouldn’t like. If you don’t have ideas they always come up with something great. I have super thin nails and I bite my cuticles off and they are so gentle I can barely feel a thing. They are perfectionists and great at what they do. I’ve been coming here for almost two years and I’ve never had a bad experience. I wouldn’t trust anyone else

I had such a GREAT experience here from the time I got there to when I left! When I walked in I was greeted with a warm smile and was welcomed right away to be assisted. This shop is clean and organized with a wide variety of colors to choose from. Sophia did my nails beautifully AS ALWAYS. Im super picky with how I like my nails filed and everything. And she always listens to the way I like them done. I appreciate how she doesnt rush And never complains about my requests considering I’m so high maintenance lol. She always remembers the colors I like so when I get there she already has suggestions just in case just to make things a little easier for me because im indecisive 🤦🏻‍♀️. I appreciate this so much about her because all of this tells me Im not just another number to her. She treats me like the unique individual that I am. She makes me feel so special. And THAT shows how much of a genuine person she is. She not only does my nails perfect everytime but she makes the experience enjoyable because shes such a sweet, funny, genuine person whos fun to talk to. Amanda does a really good job. Her shaping is immaculate. But I’ve been getting my nails done for years, and I do have to wonder if they are licensed. After she files my Nails she just leaves the dust on my hands and continues working without brushing them off. I really don’t like that. Products are cheap but she makes themWork. I am really upset because I just went in for a fill with gel polish, and for some reason that cost $40. Oh and she fixed my broken nail. Almost the price if not the price of a full set. I don’t like being taken advantage of and it has me contemplating going back because of this. The board list a fill for under $15 so I was expecting to spend $20 maybe $30, I wish I would have spoke up but it’s been bothering me since. Her kids are cute and really nice but I don’t go get my nails done for children to be around pestering their mom while she is doing my nails. Everytime I think I found a nail tech for life they do something to make me change my mind. So I will see if I can find someone else to try out cause I really don’t think my nails should have cost that much today or I would have likely not got them done. I’m on a budget right now. I am trying to grow my nails out that’s why I just got a fill today. When she gave me a full set with rhinestone it cost $50 so just to get a fill today and it cost $40 sounds like they just charge whatever especially to those who aren’t regulars. I would have became a regular but I don’t like shady business and again my spidey senses tell me they aren’t licensed just on observation and things I saw and heard.

Have tried several places and have never been as satisfied as I am with Amanda’s work. Fun environment, great conversation and most importantly nails that I am so happy with. Literally every single time! Star Nails 2 is my forever salon!!

I had to give them at least one star but I wish I couldnt even give them a star the service was horrible the building was filthy inside was filthy all the tools the lady was using didnt even seem cleanse the lady painted most of my skin other than my nails it was just a horrible experience I got there before everybody and they had three other people go in front of me for a manicure just assuming that cuz theyre our friends of the owner unprofessional just the most horrible service I ever had will never return and prices were high for lack of service

My first time going here. I sat on chair for 5 seconds and left. Place is dirty Nothing is sanitize. Person sleeping on the chair with his feet on the counter where nails get done.. No wonder there’s nobody in the place. If you don’t believe me just walk in and you see what I’m talking about..

This place is honestly the worst nail salon I’ve ever been to. I’m horrified. The older Chinese lady who did my pedicure was incapable of even making my toes look halfway decent. She pulled off half of my skin with the cuticle cutter, leaving my toes in horrible shape. Her tools looks grimy and unsanitary. The polish is rbumpy and there are no clean lines. She cut them so uneven. Not even sure she could see. Also, no gloves. Weird. In fact, I’m sure they look worse than when I left! The older white woman who did my shellac was fairly sweet, however, my nails look RAGGEDY. Was that even real shellac?? I’ve never had this experience anywhere else. Why do they have to wipe them off at the end? I’m guessing it’s either a cheap alternative or it just isn’t real. It started peeling immediately. I’m so confused as to why this place has such decent reviews. The atmosphere is dirty. 1 Tech is on the phone literally every second while tending to clients. So unprofessional. The people who come in here are questionable & the kids with them are unruly. That isn’t the nail salons fault, but it does reflect upon them, There is a strange possibly homeless man that runs in & out of here at random times & makes comments to one of the workers. Are they being paid or offered incentives for good reviews? Or are they just friends with the workers/owners? That’s the only way this can be possible. I will never stray from the Alamo Ranch area again, I’m still in shock as to how this place charges the same amount as other salons who actually do quality work. & they are SLOW. I feel as if I could have better results going to a beauty school... please avoid at all costs. This is a place to be judged at first glance. What you see, is what you get.

Me and my sister went to get our nails done on Valentines Day. One of the Chinese ladies cut my sisters finger and it was bleeding and she didnt even say sorry or give her a discount... I was getting my nails done by the blonde woman who I think is the owner along with her husband, the owners small children were there and she had her daughter on her lap as she was doing my nails, constantly stopping to tell her daughter to dont touch the things on the desk, and stopping to put her daughter in the play pen and to give her a candy, it is totally unprofessional for her to have her babies there with her at work. I will never ever be going back there again.worst experience ever and UNPROFESSIONAL !

If I could leave zero Stars I would. The past few times Ive been there have been terrible experience because they allow children in there that dont no manners. Also the person who gave me my manicure and pedicure they dont know what theyre doing. Its been a few days since I got my manicure and theyre already lifting as well as my pedicure the woman who did my pedicure extremely rough and cause my feet to bleed. Dont ever go here

The most disgusting, unprofessional nail salon in San Antonio . Lets forget the fact that they have all of their kids running around and pooping everywhere, they curse and fight with each other in front of customers . As soon as you walk in youre not greeted, and when you are finally acknowledged they pick any of their family members to start your nails and are either EATING over your nails or have to stop every 5 min to pick up the dogs pee . Seriously?! Idk how they even have custody of those kids and this place is not shut down . Do not recommend ! Very unsanitary and not worth your business

The worker did a horrible job with my lashes, some of them came off the next morning, I went and the lady redid the pieces that came off well the next day my whole lash was off. My 14 year old niece could of did a better job. Trust me do not waste your money

Very unprofessional. Understaffed. I went to get my nails done and the Chinese lady did my nails at a pedicure station instead of at a nail station. she didnt have the right tools to do my nails, was such in a hurry. She cut my finger didnt even apologize or give me a discount. Its only been about a week and my nails are chipping and got ugly. Very rude staff . Never again am I going there. The owner had her kids with her at the stations while doing other customers nails and on the phone for a very long time and constantly having to stop to attend to her kids.....

This is a family owned business and one of the bestin town. They are friendly and all equipment is clean.I would not go anywhere else.

WARNING: If i could only share a picture of my nails on how poor of a job the OWNER did on my nails. Look like she care less to let me leave with nails that looked like my 5 yr old did my nails. As soon as the other girls saw my nails they automatically told me to come in the next day to have them fix by them. Magon did a great job on fixing the owners poor work. Unfortunately that is the owners and husband work. They dont know how to do nails. DO NOT HAVE YOUR NAILS DONE BY THE OWNERS!!!! Its no joke. P.s. the place can use a deep cleaning.
