This company does not provide the proper tools for their employees. Many customers have called and complained about the manager named Paul. He is not willing to listen to his employees and their needs. He has listened to customer complaints about how these truck drivers are lifting things that should be done with the proper equipment… only to fall on deaf ears. You cannot complain to higher management because they listen to Paul. Everyone who is employed here hates working under the current management but they’re forced to work here for the pay. Paul is unprofessional, unethical, and does not care of his employees concerns. I will be reaching out to the BBB along with other entities to ensure this treatment stops. Be forewarned and heed my advice before applying to this company.

Terrible service. They shipped a towable backhoe (essentially a small car) from California to Texas Fort Worth then turned it around and shipped it back to Arizona then turned it around again and shipped it back to Texas and then didn’t bother calling me to tell me they lost a multi thousand dollar BIG machinery that is probably one of the most unusual bulky looking packages ever somewhere between locations. When I asked them what they would do about it they told me to go try to find it. To start doing detective work and gather details on their package about what it looks like how tall how wide how heavy what’s it wrapped in blah blah blah. I lost it ... I paid them to track my shipment then when they don’t track it at all they tell me to track it. When I PAID THEM TO DO EXACTLY THAT!!!!I told her I refused to chase down a package they were paid to track and move and asked her what that left us with. She pretty much told me that I would be s.o.l. .... and when I clarified and asked her directly if she was telling me to kick rocks she plainly said “yes” in a smug voice.When I said I would relay that info to her corporate she recanted....People they lost a small car!!!! And then told me to find it????!??!!!! This place is a joke and for the love of god don’t use them if you are shipping something important or time sensitive...

1 Star is 1 Star too many for this level of service.Prepare to be on hold for a couple of hours if you attempt to contact this company. For the prices they charge for freight, you would think they could afford a receptionist and a couple of clerks to answer calls in a timely fashion. But NOOOOO!!!I was on hold for an hour an a half having to listen to their nauseating elevator music then finally it went silent. I waited and nothing ... I asked if anyone was there ... more silence. Then the call was disconnected!Not too pleased to put it nicely.

This is the most incompetent freight company I had ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The shipper had sent me some parts and asked these imbeciles to collect a COD (charge on delivery) which they accept checks for. The first thing that happened was they sent the paperwork with a truck and left the freight in the warehouse. I had to wait over the weekend for that to get resolved. Once they finally were able to get the shipment to me, they asked for cash only for the COD. I told them that the shipper accepts checks for this. They did not accept. I called the shipper and had the shipper tell the driver directly that this was ok, they still refused to give me my freight. I had the management tell them directly that they accept checks, then I call back and ask when I am going to receive my shipment and they are still asking for cash. This has been going on for a week and a half now. If you are trying to ship something, please, whatever you do, do not use these guys. They are unable to perform basic tasks that a shipping company should be able to handle. These are very incompetent people.

My freight sat at the local terminal in San Antonio for 7 days and trying to get any information on when it would be delivered to my customer in San Antonio took several hours of being on hold and awaiting a response.Ive had multiple issues with Central Freight in San Antonio.

ADD 3-4 DAYS TO YOUR SHIPMENTS.. DO NOT EXPECT 1 DAY DELIVERY.
