I can not express enough gratitude for the support and guidance i received from the Ecumenical Center and my counselor. Going thru a difficult divorce was made manageable because of them, all of them. Thank you for being my light.

If I could put 0 stars I so would!!! The receptionist Noel was very unprofessional and rude!! I called in the morning to reschedule my appointment she informed me that I had to cancel and the counselor Jackie Chavez would get back with me which she did and we agreed on taking my child at 330pm. We make it to the 330 appointment and Noel who works front desk was extremely rude her body language said it all she was very snappy!! Whatever miscommunication they had with Ms Chavez and Noel had nothing to do with me! But yet Noel was adamant that I didn’t care about my child since I had canceled and told me I should take my child else where!!!!! Like really who the hell does that! My child is there for help and Noel should take training on how to do your job! I will not be taking my child back there!! Very unprofessional and despicable!!! Horrible place!

Very disappointing considering my church recommended this place. We were seen once and told we did not need to come back. No strategies were given to assist in dealing with hurt and/or anger. What’s the point of counseling? I told him my goals for therapy and he didn’t even care to truly help.

I am so disappointed in my experience (or lack thereof) with the Ecumenical Center. As a School Counselor, I have referred so many students to them over the years and generally always received positive feedback. I contacted them in early December about neurofeedback for my own child. After a week with no call back from the practitioner, Nick Pantuso, I called again, only to be told that he usually needs 2 weeks for a call-back. 2 WEEKS! For a return phone call!! That is ridiculous - just to get a call back to possibly schedule an appointment, not even for an actual appointment. Well, I left my information again, and here we are January 8 without a single phone call in return. This is horrible practice to say the least - extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will no longer refer families to this organization, much less attempt to work with them for my own children.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I made an appointment and met with Dr. Emmett twice. On my initial visit I was given paperwork to fill out at the front desk. I filled it out but it turned out to be the wrong paperwork. On my first meeting with Dr. Emmett, I briefly discussed the reasons for my visit. He gave me some assessment forms to fill out and told me to set the next appointment at the front desk.On my second visit, he was 15 minutes late for our meeting. He didnt apologize or even acknowledge the fact that he was late. Instead, he seemed bothered and asked me if I brought the filled out assessment forms. I said, yes. He told me that I needed to bring them in prior to our 2nd visit, which he failed to inform me of. Our second visit consisted of me sitting there for 45 minutes while he went over the assessment forms. Which would have been avoided had he properly notified me of the process. Afterwards, he briefly explained the next steps and said that he would refer me to a primary care physician that would prescribe me medication. I tried to ask questions to better understand his assessment but he clearly did not want to answer much less elaborate. I continued to ask questions but he clearly did not want to discuss anything but reiterated the next steps. He was clearly upset that I had questions. I voiced my concerns and he dismissed my concerns and said, thats all I can do.I basically wasted my time and money. It is sad that many doctors in our day and age are more inclined to make their job easier than to help and are nothing more than drug pushers, quick to write a prescription or make a recommendation to have drugs prescribed, based on very little information. They dont try to take the time to understand whats really going on despite the fact that we pay for their services. (I paid cash for both appointments) I implore you to not seek help here!

My 14 year daughter was given an appointment card with a date and time. I showed up and the pregnant receptionist informed me that she didn’t have an appointment. I had just pulled her out of high school, drove 40 minutes with traffic, and my daughter walked into this clinic sobbing. Which anyone could see. She never apologized and informed me that there was nothing to do for a half an hour because I was early but that the counselor had someone booked at 4pm already. She was quite snippy. This was the second time she was rude to me. I told her she needs to be more professional. It’s astounding that she works for a mental health facility and has an visible upset 14 year child walk into her office and there “nothing she can do”. The counselor did personally call me back while I was stuck in traffic on the way home, attempting to calm my daughter down. Too late to turn back. She did say she cleared her next appointment for my daughter. Too little, too late. Won’t be going back. Highly unprofessional.

Beautiful facility. Cant say the same about my experiences there. The counselor spent the majority of the appointment time I was paying for talking about himself and his own success in life rather than truly listening, processing or internalizing anything I said.Unfortunately, this is another disappointing experience with what is essentially a hard-nosed, money-focused business taking advantage of claiming a Catholic affiliation. Like any other business, they too proved to be centered on the bottom line rather than anything even remotely Catholic. My personal experience here taught me this much: many in this world dislike the Catholic church based their experiences with businesses claiming affiliation with it.

Saw Dr. Richard Amiss and could only waste a few sessions with him. He spent a majority of my sessions talking about things I already told him I knew. Dr. Amiss didnt look at me like a person but rather as a subject, smirking and lecturing me about the things I told him that hurt me. Its beautiful building but the counselors there could not be more clueless. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
